We will wrap up this episode of Wisdom from Above episode with seven steps to avoid disaster.

Saul is a bad example more than he is a good example. Saul goes to Samuel instead of God in confession. Saul fears the people instead of fearing God. Saul clings to Samuel instead of clinging to God. Saul needs to learn how to find forgiveness. We do too.

We are masters of rationalization We have an innate ability to justify ourselves. We have a natural tendency to excuse selfishness and stubbornness and sinfulness. We do wrong and make it sound like we did right. The Bible says, "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil." This is exactly what Saul does in the passage we are investigating in this episode of Wisdom from Above. Don't miss tis episode.

Waiting! We all have difficulty with this task. We don’t like to wait in lines. We don’t like to wait at a red light.  We don’t like to wait for service. We don’t like to wait for a package to arrive.  We don’t like to wait when the freeway becomes a parking lot. We like things to be instant. Click a button, flip a switch, hit a key. We want what we want when we want it.  This tendency is challenged in The Scripture where we are told to "Wait on the Lord!" Join us as we dig into this study of waiting on the Lord. ,

In the book of Judges we see the following cycles: Success, Sin, Subjugation, Supplication, Savior; Success, Sin, Subjugation, Supplication, Savior. Over and over the people of Israel , when in a time of success, became complacent, and compromised, and forsook the Lord. Then the Lord allowed them to be subjugated and the people cried out for deliverance. God in His loyal love would then raise up a savior, a judge, who would defeat their subjugators, and enable them to enjoy freedom and victory. Today's episode of Wisdom from Above looks at this pattern of sin and seeks to speak clearly about "How to Deal with Sin."

Some people struggle with defeat. Some people struggle with victory. The Israelite people of Jabesh Gilead were about to be crushed by Nahash and his Ammonite army. They were filled with fear instead of faith. They were weeping instead of warring. They were desperately depending on others for help. God raised up Saul and the Holy Spirit moved upon Saul, and this became the catalyst that led to victory over the Ammonites. How would Saul handle the victory? Would it be seen as an open door to crush his detractors? Would it be a day for revenge or a day for rejoicing? Listen to this episode of Wisdom from Above and find out!

Have you ever felt unappreciated? Saul experienced this. People who knew Saul could not believe he could serve as a prophet. They mocked him. Others who knew Saul did not believe he could serve effectively was a king. They ridiculed him. He hides among the baggage at the time of his appointment as king, how could he ever lead an army into battle? Join us as we examine this practical topic, "How to handle ridicule."

People are desperate for guidance and direction and insight into the future. Some people look to the stars and horoscopes. Some people look to tarot cards and crystal balls. Some people look to crystals or clouds. Some people look to diviners or dreams. God wants us to look to Him... to look into His Word, the Holy Bible, for His direction!
