I listened to a podcast that very helpfully framed the discussions and thoughts I've been having about the "nature of truth." Ultimately, you can be a Dualist or a Monist. Richard's article: https://richardwilson.substack.com/p/dividing-the-one-into-the-many Read it here too: https://www.thewarofideas.org/post/dividing-the-one-into-the-many-the-hero-as-the-process-of-differentiation The podcast used was called "The Story of Psychology." The episode I played was called "Metaphysics - Mind-Body Problem." This was recorded on June 27th, 2022. In this video, I take a look at an interview that Dale Partridge did where he tells his story about becoming a New Calvinist. There are so many spirits and contradictions here and I found it fascinating. Hopefully, I wasn't unfair in any place here. Let me know what you think.    This was recorded on June 20th, 2022. In this video, I talk with Noah Johnson. We talk about fringe things along with epistemological and existential skepticism. I wanted to talk to him because he has a podcast, called "The Seminary Podcast," and is from the same small rural Idaho town as I am. This is is my conversation with professor Michael Jahosky. Michael is a Tolkien scholar and author of the book "The Good News of the Return of the King: The Gospel in Middle Earth." We talk about Michael's life, the overview and thesis of Michael's book, and in which way (exactly) Middle Earth is a real place. I was delighted that I was able to talk with professor Jahosky and have learned much from him over the last year from his book and podcast. In this video, I talk about Sophocles’s play Oedipus Rex. I find that there is a lot to mine here. The main themes I got from it this time: how Oedipus crosses and blurs fundamental boundaries, how to deal with the fates’ (or suffering’s) power in the world, and how commitment is necessary for any proper integration to happen. I hope you all find something meaningful here. I received a very meaty comment from my Odysseus video. I thought I would use it as a springboard for this video. I try to piece out the differences between taking vengeance and forgiveness, discipline versus mercy, and God dealing with injustice. There's a ton of thinking out loud and wandering in this video. Thanks to Pam for letting me use this comment of hers. Hopefully I didn't disabuse it too much. This was recorded on April 27th, 2022. This video is a rough draft for a speech I had to do for a theology class. In it, I draw on C.S. Lewis's Mere Christianity to offer a critique of the conception of conversion in neo-evangelicalism.    This was recorded on April 25, 2022. This is an audio recording of my Senior Thesis on marriage. You can view the paper here: https://coltonkirby.substack.com/p/senior-thesis-monogamous-heterosexual?s=w. In this video, I explain why Western and Eastern Easter are celebrated on different dates. This is a rough draft of a speech I had for my World History class. In this video, I talk about how an increasing amount of knowledge can lead to arrogance. This is something I have been thinking about some, partly because I'm finishing high school and because I like to learn things. So there's hopefully some acceptable self-reflection here.    This was recorded on April 21st, 2022.    My YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6Tvr9mBXNaAxLGRA_sUSRA   My writing: my writing: https://coltonkirby.substack.com/    About Me: https://coltonkirby.substack.com/about   Twitter: https://twitter.com/_coltonkirby  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/officialcoltonkirby   Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/129883782-colton-kirby   Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/officialcoltonkirby/   Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/coltonjkirby/_saved/   Odysee: https://odysee.com/@ColtonKirby   Books Wish List: https://docs.google.com/document/d/19GTqvKmd3Ter2WCpBwU2DkuD-Qse6xiLAqJFGZzWToo/edit   If you want to financially support what I’m doing, you can give one-off donations here (thank you): https://www.paypal.me/ColtonKirby

Here’s some more thinking on my Senior Thesis. This proof has to deal with the eternal marriage story and how that trickles down into human lives. Hope this is interesting or helpful to someone.  Note: I will be changing my podcast cover on April 25th. It will now be the same picture that is my YouTube profile pic.
