2026/10/04

Featuring music by yours truly :) https://ice-husky.itch.io/bodies-in-the-bay
Ep. 155: Transitions
2026/09/20
Transitions are the space between events... like waiting to get on a train... How does the way we spend our time in transitions reflect who we are? Is it healthy to be bored sometimes?
Ep. 154: Do I Feel Like an Adult Yet?
2026/09/05
What does it mean to feel like an adult? What's the difference between being child-like and childish? In this episode, I recount a story from seeing The Chainsmokers perform at Lollapalloza in Chicago. Then, I talk about how I'm getting older both physically and mentally, however I'm still trying to hold onto that child-like inner spirit.
Ep. 153: I'm Moving... I think??!
2026/08/22
Moving is tough... especially when you don't know where you want to go.

Ep. 150: Recent Developments in AI Music
2026/07/18
So, Spotify is adding a feature where people can generate AI music directly within the app... Was that really necessary?! In this episode I'm discussing the recent Spotify news along with other headlines related to AI Music and giving my personal opinion coming from the perspective of someone who is both a musician and also works in the music industry.
Ep. 149: Times I've Been Lonely
2026/06/06
Getting turned back from a ferris wheel ride because I was single? Attending a jazz concert by myself? Being the only sober person in a very dangerous car ride? These are some of my loneliest experiences... ==== The thumbnail photo for this episode doesn't really have anything to do with the topic. But boredom is kind of related to loneliness, and this picture really does scream "boredom" to me....
Ep. 148: 25 Life Updates in 25 Minutes
2026/05/30
Can I get through 25 life updates in 25 minutes or less?!?!
Ep. 147: Switching from iPhone to Android
2026/05/23
After being an iPhone user for over a decade, I recently made the switch to a Google Pixel (Android) phone. Why did I switch?? How has it been so far adjusting to the new phone? Listen to find out!!
Ep. 146: Witnessing a Fire
2026/05/16
I was a witness to a fire in my apartment complex. Everyone made it out safely, but it was a pretty traumatic experience for me and everyone involved. ==== The thumbnail for this podcast episode is an actual picture I took of the fire starting. I honestly felt a bit guilty about taking this photo instead of doing something constructive... anyway, I'm unpacking those mixed feelings in this episode.
Ep. 145: I spoke to college students about AI music
2026/05/09
This was my first time giving a formal presentation in ... about seven years?!? How did it go, and how did the students react? I took the major points of my AI music podcast episodes with Bobby and converted them into a presentation which I gave to my dad's computer science class at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. It was a lot of work... I had to update a lot of the research for the presentation, since some of the specifics have changed since I released those episodes in February! But it was well worth it, I had a lot of fun preparing the presentation, and it went well overall. In this episode, I share some more details about my preparation and how the students reacted to the presentation.
Ep. 144: Keeping Lists
2026/05/02
Every time I finish reading a book, I add it to a list. That way, I can go back and see how many books I’ve read over time. It’s not just reading. I keep lists of my favorite movies, every record stores I’ve ever visited, documenting my CD and record collection, and more. As you can tell from listening to this episode, there have been times when I’ve went a little bit overboard with my lists… ==EDIT== For the pick of the week, I believe I said the song title is actually "In My Amrs" by Illenium and Hayla.
Ep. 143: Good times, tough times, and the in-between
2026/04/25
Sometimes life is just an emotional rollercoaster! This episode was recorded in pieces from 11/4/2025 through 1/12/2026. Each individual audio clip is a 'stream of consciousness' based on what I was thinking or feeling at the time.
Ep. 142: My Middle School Crush (Flashback Journal #2)
2026/04/18
Middle school: The era of puberty, acne, and unrequited romantic interests! In this episode, I re-read one of my diary entries from middle school about the time I tried to ask out my crush. As a bonus, I'm also sharing one more diary entry from when I was a freshman in college. (Disclaimer: To protect people's privacy, I'm using fake names while re-telling these stores.) ==== The thumbnail for this episode is a screenshot of an old YouTube video I made around the same time this middle school diary entry was written.
