In the last episode Hefrum and Hlin found themselves in the coastal settlement of Black Cliff on the Sea of Moving Ice. Beset by a huge snow storm, they decided to stay in town for the night. Before long our adventurers learned of a mysterious amulet that turned its wearer into a zombie and cursed others to become zombies, too. Frozenfar. The North. Icewind Dale. Whatever you chose to call this desolate and inhospitable land, the north became a haven for those wanting to disappear from the world. In Icewind Dale ten towns came together to form a settlement and offer a new beginning for the forgotten, and for nearly 400 years, Ten-Towns has known peace and war, prosperity and poverty. Their people are resilient and through it all, have come to symbolize the resilience of all. Just north of Ten-Towns there used to be a port settlement at the mouth of the Sea of Moving Ice. Known as Black Cliff, this used to be a port for those brave enough to navigate the ice pack to import their goods into Icewind Dale. Used to. As the blue lights dazzle, the city of Easthaven is under attack by duergar forces. As smoke rises from nearby buildings, and Easthaven residents fall under the war picks of the aggressors, will the party be able to save the town? With Maud Chisselbone, the hag that resided in the Cauldron Caves defeated, the party looks to collect on the spoils of their labor. Mirabella continues to search for her search for Sylver, or Mirv, or Assara Nosro, or whatever name the famed performer goes by today. Hefrum seals the deal to have Redwin released. Bosera gets her book, and Ahme comes into the possession of a strange book linked to her god. We'll see you at the end, as we all gaze at the lights...
