Aside from discovering Mr. Collins' secret phrase that makes Elizabeth switch into a serial killer, we pretty much just stick to laughing at the plots. Reason #23 everyone is staring at us: We (mostly Erin) have some very strong feelings as to what makes a boy band. O'Dell does a really good job of continuously changing the course of the conversation, which leads us to talk about the show "Soundtrack", lip sync battles, and then circle back to Girl Groups. This leads to a discussion of why is it a Boy Band (when the boys don't play instruments) and a Girl Band when the girls do play, but a girl group when they only sing and dance? Reason #22 everyone is staring at us: Because at first, when there's nothin, we'll always be here with an 80's movie to fill in the blanks. Today we revisit Flashdance, and we finally realize that there isn't a whole lot of substance to this movie and the only character we really cared about was Alex (Jennifer Beals). This one is at the top of our "It would be awesome of they remade this (still set in the 80s), removed the central, creepy love story, and focused more on Jeanie and Alex's dreams and ambitions" list.
