7 Steps to Get Your Child to Sleep in Their Own Bed
2021/07/09
Hey there, my mama friend!  In today's episode I'm sharing some tips to help you get your toddler or preschooler (or big kid, if it's been going on that long) out of your bed and into their own.  Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the "family bed"... for other people. It just didn't work for me. I like my sleep and my space, and I need at least 7-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep to get through my day as a mom and Nonna.  If that's you too, you're definitely going to find some value in this episode!  I share some basic fundamentals to have in place to set yourself (and your child) up for success and then share the exact steps I used to get my kids to sleep in their own bed, and even used to get the daycare kids to sleep on kindermats in my livingroom, without needing cribs, playpens, or baby gates after one year of age!  If you find value in these tips, please consider sharing this podcast with a friendor on your social media channels so your friends and followers can find it.  Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope to meet you right back here next time so we can rise up together! 10 Ways to Build Strong Connections with Your Teen and Adult Children through Healthy Boundaries
2021/04/10
Hey there, my mama friend! So far I’ve brought you solo shows about dealing with your toddler and school-age child. I’ve interviewed other moms on parenting-related topics such as dating as a single mom, dealing with tricky emotions, managing ADHD in your child, and much more. On today’s show I’m sharing some tips on creating stronger connections with your teen and adult children, based on my experience in raising two adult boys and a teen daughter thus far in my life. If you want to have a great relationship with your older children, it starts with creating healthy boundaries within your family and household. When our children become teens and adults, the relationship starts resembling the toddler years again sometimes. The kids want to test their boundaries but still have a safe place to fall. They want their own space, but they want to know we’re there for guidance and support. They have to fall down, make mistakes, and learn from natural consequences. Join me as I dive deeper into 10 Ways to Build Strong Connections with Your Teen and Adult Children through Healthy Boundaries – on your side and theirs. ***** Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope to meet you right back here next time so we can rise up together! Be sure to grab my book Rise Up, Mamas! if you’d like more insight for your parenting journey. https://www.amazon.com/Rise-Up-Mamas-Parent-During-ebook/dp/B087BHJ7NH/ref=sr_1_1 If you’d like to connect with awesome moms who are going through some of the same challenges as you, be sure to check out my free Facebook group here: Rise Up, Mamas!
