Diggin Knowledge Ep. 64: When The Real Work Begins w/ Darcelle Ilcewicz
2026/07/20
"Postpartum changed how I think about movement and strength. I had to learn to give myself grace after three kids."Drop a ❤️ if you're redefining your strength!
Darcelle:For moms, the journey back to fitness isn’t linear; it’s about patience, grace, and redefining what "getting back" really means.
"I’ve realized that I don’t have to push through old limits; I just have to move forward at my own pace, honoring where my body is now.""Now, I’m running a mile a day. I remind myself: Just show up. It’s not about perfect; it’s about progress."How do you give yourself grace when doing things to take care of yourself? Drop your tips below!#MomLife #PostpartumJourney #StrengthRedefined #SelfCare #YouVsYou #DigginKnowledge
Diggin Knowledge Ep. 63: A Beautiful, Complex, and Awful Puzzle w/ Toby Dycus (Part 2)
2026/07/13
Part 2 of 2 with Toby on values, wrestling, and life lessons!
Toby continues to drop some knowledge! As a teacher and director, I find that casting isn’t just about talent; it's about group dynamics, timing, and understanding that everyone has a role, even if it's not the one they hoped for. It’s a constant balancing act of perspectives, egos, and potential.
The toughest part? Making hard decisions while recognizing every audition is a chance to grow, no matter the outcome. Reflecting on this reminds me that, in both theater and teaching, we’re shaping characters, whether on stage or in the classroom. Success isn’t always about who’s the loudest or brightest, but who works best within the ensemble.
Diggin' Deeper: What role are you playing in your own story?

Diggin Knowledge Ep. 62: A Beautiful, Complex, and Awful Puzzle w/ Toby Dycus (Part 1)
2026/07/11
Part 1 of 2 with Toby on values, wrestling, and life lessons!
Ever wonder what makes a great teacher or a star in the classroom? It’s not just about lesson plans; it’s all about mindset.
Toby Dycus drops some knowledge:
"You gotta understand, teaching is an acting job, so I approach it like a performer, not just a lecturer."Drop a ❤️ if you agree that a teacher's mindset shapes their approach and impact.#ActorInTheClassroom #GrowthMindset #BuiltForThis #Perspective #DigginKnowledge
Diggin Knowledge Ep. 61: Elevators
2026/07/03
This episode focuses on what it means to be ratchetdemic and what an elevator is: those who challenge us to be better!
Part 1:
Are we truly allowed to be ourselves, unaltered and whole, without fear of judgment?
In his book Ratchetdemic: Reimagining Academic Success, Christopher Emden discusses what it means to be rachetdemic: a state in which your mind, body, and spirit are fully validated, whole, and free from distortion. It’s about understanding who you are and owning that, unapologetically. Think about it: how often do you really show up as your unaltered self? Most of us play roles, shift gears, or hide parts of ourselves just to fit in. But the real power comes from being authentically you, no matter where you are. The question isn’t “when will I be perfect at this?” It’s an everyday practice. So, what’s one step you can take to start being your ratchet self today? Food for thought!
Part 2:
Who challenges you most, but in a way that helps you grow? They are actually your elevators.
The student who interrupts, pushes back, or makes us uncomfortable might not be there to tear us down; they might be showing us where we need to grow. If we can hear the truth inside the discomfort, that challenge can elevate us.
Drop a ❤️ if you’re ready to start embracing your ratchet, authentic self every day, allowing your elevators to elevate your growth.

Diggin Knowledge Ep. 60: Your Ego Is Showing
2026/06/26
Your ego is showing — and that's the biggest barrier to truly impacting your students.
Drop a 🔥 if you've ever struggled to let go of your need to control or be right in the classroom. As educators, we work so hard to earn our spot—our classroom, our reputation, our independence. But real growth happens when we put our ego aside and meet students where they’re at.
The truth? The more we lead with ego, the more layers they build up—layers of resistance, mistrust, and disengagement. Working through those layers requires genuine effort and humility. It’s not about forgetting your confidence — it’s about choosing when to lead with it and when to listen deeply.
✅ Think about a time you let your ego cloud your judgment—how did that impact your connection?
✅ What's one way you can show your students you truly care, beyond words? Worth reflecting on. Would you agree that the impact you want depends more on your mindset than your methods?

Diggin Knowledge Ep. 59: Control What You Can Control
2026/06/01
I've taken the liberty of incorporating for others to add to their perspective and be more mindful with Mindful Monday messages. This is the first of many I will share on the pod. You'll hear me talk about intentionality more than you would like, but I promise there is intent behind that. Although a majority of this episode deals with my coaching practice, the mindset of controlling what you can control is for everyone.
Thank you for taking the time to dig in with me on another episode of Diggin' Knowledge, and always remember to uncover what's within your control and what's the best you can do with it.
Diggin Knowledge Ep. 58: I Love You & Appreciate You!
2026/01/06
A full year in the making, the year of gratitude has concluded, and what better way to finalize than capturing it here on the pod.
You'll hear all about the experience: What I gained, how the experience went, and the overall impact on those receiving my gratitude, as well as myself, sharing all of the goodness I've received through my life.
Diggin Knowledge Ep. 57: You Just Never Know w/ Corinthas
2025/08/14
My not-so-little brother is out here doing big things. From moving cross country with his then girlfriend, now wife, to moving overseas to teach English, in this episode, we'll fully dig into his experience. You'll hear about how this opportunity came about, what it's been like adapting, and how his new love for teaching has come about.
Diggin Deeper Topic: Caring what people think to receive different versions of myself.

A snapshot of Corinthas diggin' into his experience moving to China to become an English teacher.
Diggin Knowledge Ep. 56: WrestleMania 41 Weekend!
2025/05/02
WrestleMania 41 weekend was nothing short of amazing! In this episode, I'll dig into everything that made it so, from being intentional with how I show up when exposing others to something new to the importance of intentional connections with others, particularly at major events, as well as a mindset I'm understanding better for myself based on John Cena's heel turn!
Diggin Knowledge Ep. 55: It's Okay, It's Necessary, It's Part of the Process
2025/04/12
This new mantra for me, it's okay, it's necessary, it's part of the process, has helped me embrace the challenging moments of early parenting, especially how tough drop-offs to day care were. I gift this to you in hopes that a shift in mindset will help you not only approach challenges differently but draw the positives from them.
There's a lot to be grateful for, and this year of gratitude has allowed me to tap into that more than ever. 3 months in and the results are beyond words. Whether you're looking to add gratitude to your game or level it up, this episode digs into my recent experiential wisdom and ways for you to draw from it. Enjoy!
Diggin Knowledge Ep. 54: The Year of Gratitude
2025/04/12
Two goals or New Year's resolutions - no dessert for the entire year and a personal message of gratitude every single day to a different individual throughout the year.
I've given up other things for a year, so I want to see how this goes and how it impacts me moving forward. And, I'm excited to let those who have impacted me know just how grateful I am, particularly those I haven't spoken to in years and those who probably have no idea how much of an impact they've had on me. Who knows, if you're reading this, you'll probably be receiving a message from me at some point this year.
Diggin Knowledge Ep. 53: Check Yourself
2025/04/12
Short, sweet, and to the point - Check yourself on how you treat other people, particularly when they haven't treated you well. Why do some get your grace and why do others not? Can you be mature enough to show up the same toward those who have done you wrong as you do for others who you feel deserve the best? No matter your response reflect on why and what you want it to be. No matter your response make sure it's one you can be happy about. No matter your response just be consistent and true to yourself and allow the results to be the results.
Diggin Knowledge Ep. 52: Fatherhood - Blessings on Blessings on Blessings
2025/04/12
My first, but definitely not last episode dedicated to fatherhood. You'll hear about my experience so far, perspectives gained, and dig into my knowledge about a mindset applicable in life in general, but especially for fatherhood. The most long-term booking I've intentionally AND unintentionally done.
Diggin Knowledge Ep. 51: The Next Chapter of B.C. - Can't Kill Our Vibe
2025/04/12
The 4th edition of the Bass Canyon episodes and my final chapter for now as I focus on parenthood and leveling up as Instructional Coach.
In this episode, you'll hear the clarity I gained around moving from one chapter to the next instead of looking at it as one door closing to walk through another, if I lived up to my expectations of rallying, and the how we as a group don't allow anything to kill our vibe!
