Ready to Reinvent Yourself? Let Go of Who You Were and Choose Who You Become
2026/09/25
In this episode, you are my bestie, and we are having a chat. I just turned on the mic and shared that I have been going through a rebirth, and my business has too. We talk about how many versions of yourself are you still trying to keep alive because you worked so hard to become them? This week on More Than Sex and Secrets, I get personal about rebirth, reinvention, identity shifts, and the courage required to let an old version of yourself end. With new websites, a new Amazing YOU Flow app, new work, and another season of her own life unfolding, Dr. Lisha shares what she is learning about recreation. We cannot be everything to everyone. We do not have to keep carrying every identity, business, relationship, dream, or version of ourselves simply because each once mattered. Sometimes growth asks you to stop fixing the old life and start choosing the next one. We talk about holding onto the past, grieving identities you have outgrown, releasing the pressure to remain who other people expect you to be, and giving yourself permission to reinvent yourself again and again. For trauma survivors especially, identity after healing raises a bigger question: Who are you when survival is no longer running your life? Rebirth requires space. You get to decide what comes with you. If you are in a life transition, starting over after trauma, rebuilding your identity, changing careers, ending a relationship, entering a new chapter, or feeling the pull toward something you have never experienced before, this episode is for you. Learn more about Lisha - http://www.LishaAntiqua.com Ready to put reinvention into daily practice? Join me inside Amazing YOU Flow. Men Have Pain Histories Too: Male Trauma, Emotional Intimacy & Why Men Need Other Men
2026/09/18
What happens when a man wants closeness, love, and intimacy, but has never learned how to safely open up? In this episode of More Than Sex and Secrets, Dr. Lisha Antiqua sits down with men’s embodiment coach and group facilitator Jason Lange for an important conversation about male trauma, childhood abuse, emotional intimacy, relationships, vulnerability, and the need for meaningful connection between men. Men have pain histories too. Men experience abuse, rejection, abandonment, shame, loneliness, and relationship wounds. Yet many men grow up learning to contain those experiences rather than speak about them. That silence does not erase the pain. It often follows them into adulthood, affecting how they communicate, receive love, handle conflict, experience intimacy, and hold emotional space for the people they love. Jason and Dr. Lisha talk about what men are often seeking underneath emotional withdrawal, how men learn to open up without losing their sense of self, and what holding space in a relationship looks like when both people have emotional needs. They also explore the role of men’s groups and why having healthy spaces with other men gives men opportunities for connection, accountability, support, embodiment, and personal growth that a romantic partner cannot replace. Jason Lange is a men’s embodiment coach, group facilitator, and evolutionary guide who helps men develop greater clarity in their purpose and relationships. He is a certified No More Mr. Nice Guy coach and has trained and studied with John Wineland, Dr. Robert Glover, Jun Po Roshi, Tripp Lanier, and Ken Wilber. If you are a man carrying a history you rarely talk about, or you love a man who struggles to let you close, this conversation offers a different way to understand what might be happening underneath the silence. What Is Virginity? The Hymen Myth, Sexual Shame and Reclaiming Your Body After Abuse
2026/09/10
What is virginity, and why has society tied it to purity, innocence, and a person’s value? In this episode of More Than Sex and Secrets, Dr. Lisha Antiqua challenges the hymen myth, virginity culture, sexual shame, and the belief that consensual sex or sexual abuse changes your worth. If your first sexual experience involved molestation, coercion, betrayal, or assault, the responsibility belongs to the person who violated your right to choose. Your body is still yours. Your innocence, goodness, and value never left. You will receive a live healing, a body reset to complement, and identify new experiences you are ready to choose on your terms. Coming Out at 40: Dissociation, Sexuality & Finally Coming Home to Your Body |
2026/08/30
What happens when you reach 40 and realize part of your identity has been waiting for you to acknowledge it? In this deeply personal episode of More Than Sex and Secrets, Dr. Lisha Antiqua sits down with Sarah Rutledge Fischer for an open conversation about dissociation from the body, sexuality, identity, relationships, and Sarah’s experience of coming out as a lesbian later in life. Sarah shares what it was like to recognize and admit her sexuality at 40, after years of feeling disconnected from parts of herself. We talk about the complicated space between knowing something internally and becoming ready to name it, what dissociation from your body and sexuality can look like, and what happens when the identity you have been living no longer reflects who you know yourself to be. We also explore coming out later in life, divorce and family transitions, shame, authenticity, self-trust, sexual identity, LGBTQ+ relationships, and the process of reconnecting with your body after years of disconnection. Today, Sarah is a queer attorney, divorce coach, mediator, and founder of Thresholds Mediation, where part of her work focuses specifically on supporting people coming out later in life and LGBTQ+ individuals and families moving through major relationship transitions. If you have ever wondered why you feel disconnected from your body, questioned your sexuality, struggled to understand your identity, or realized the life you built no longer fits the person you have become, this conversation gives language to an experience many people live silently. Are They Demons, Trauma or Psychosis? What Happens When You Don't Feel Like Yourself
2026/08/24
Have you ever thought, “Something took over,” “I wasn't myself,” or “Where did THAT reaction come from?” In this provocative episode of More Than Sex and Secrets, Dr. Lisha Antiqua explores the intersection of demons, trauma responses, dissociation, psychosis, spiritual experiences, and the moments when we feel disconnected from ourselves. We look at the language of “fighting your demons” through the four elements of self: physical, mental, emotional, and etheric. What is happening in your nervous system? What thoughts and beliefs are taking over? What emotions are driving the reaction? And where does spirituality enter the conversation? Rather than forcing every frightening experience into one explanation, this episode asks you to become more conscious of what is happening within you, reclaim your authority, and learn how to return to yourself when fear, triggers, overwhelm, or old survival patterns take over. If you need something practical for those moments, get the SSS Bundle, Safe, Secure, Successful. These short practices help you reconnect with your physical, mental, emotional, and etheric self when you feel triggered, overwhelmed, disconnected, or pulled out of your center. Freedom Isn't a Holiday: Escaping Survival Mode and Reclaiming Your Life
2026/07/03
This week, millions of people in the US will celebrate freedom with fireworks, family gatherings, and flags waving in the summer sky. But what if you're safe... and still don't feel free? What if survival didn't end when the trauma ended? In this heartfelt Fourth of July episode, Dr. Lisha Antiqua explores the invisible prison of survival mode and why so many people continue living with chronic stress, hypervigilance, financial pressure, people-pleasing, and nervous system exhaustion long after the original danger has passed. Survival was designed to save your life. It was never designed to give you freedom. Drawing from her own life, decades of working with trauma survivors, and research on nervous system regulation, neuroplasticity, chronic stress, and CPTSD, Dr. Lisha shares why so many of us ask, "What's the point?" and how that question is often the voice of survival, not the truth about your future. If you've ever felt like you're constantly trying, working, healing, and doing "all the right things," yet still feel stuck, this episode will help you understand why. Because true freedom isn't just something we celebrate once a year. It's something we learn to embody. In this episode, you'll discover: • The difference between surviving trauma and living in survival mode• Why your nervous system mistakes familiarity for safety• How survival quietly steals your sense of choice• Why money, resources, and healthy relationships expand freedom• The surprising question that can help you move from merely surviving to fully participating in your life This Independence Day, don't just celebrate freedom. CPTSD Doesn't Have to Define Your Success
2026/06/26
This week's conversation is one of the most honest we've had on More Than Sex and Secrets. Dr. Lisha Antiqua sits down with entrepreneur, podcast host, and business mentor Tiffany Carter of ProjectME with Tiffany to talk openly about something many successful women quietly carry—Complex PTSD (CPTSD), childhood trauma, perfectionism, and the fear of never feeling enough. While social media often celebrates success, it rarely shows the invisible healing journey behind it. Tiffany shares her personal experience as a survivor of abuse, how CPTSD has impacted her business, relationships, confidence, and nervous system, and the practical tools she uses to lead a multimillion-dollar company while continuing her healing journey. Together, we explore the connection between self-worth, perfectionism, trauma recovery, entrepreneurship, success mindset, emotional regulation, and building a business without abandoning yourself. If you've ever wondered... • Can I be successful with CPTSD?• Will my trauma always hold me back?• Why do perfectionism and self-doubt keep sabotaging my dreams?• Can I build a thriving business while still healing? ...this episode is for you. This conversation is filled with hope, honesty, laughter, and the reminder that healing and success don't have to compete—they can grow together. ✨ Learn more from Tiffany Carter:Connect with Tiffany - Her website Her podcast! https://www.projectmewithtiffany.com/podcast/ 💜 Ready to discover what's keeping you stuck and reclaim your confidence? We are healing the wrong way.
2026/06/18
In this soul-provoking episode of More Than Sex and Secrets, Dr. Lisha Antiqua explores what it truly means to reclaim the throne of your own life. Drawing inspiration from the ancient Gospel of Thomas, soul psychology, and decades of working with survivors, Lisha challenges the beliefs that keep people and herself trapped in fear, victimhood, scarcity, and powerlessness. What happens when you stop giving your authority to the news, the economy, your diagnosis, your trauma, or the opinions of others? What happens when you stop waiting for someone else to save you and remember the power that has been within you all along? This conversation dives into:✨ Healing from the soul level✨ The difference between awareness and victim consciousness✨ Escaping fear-based programming and learned helplessness✨ Why true healing requires more than treating symptoms✨ The message of the Gospel of Thomas and the Kingdom within If you've been feeling overwhelmed by the state of the world, struggling with scarcity, fear, uncertainty, or old trauma patterns, this episode is an invitation to remember who you are beyond the circumstances. Dr. Lisha is reminding herself too! Because healing isn't about getting over what happened or what is happening. It's about remembering who you were before the world convinced you otherwise. This week's episode is an inspiring interview about overcoming, self-acceptance, and so much more with our guest Christopher Carazas, author of Now That I am Still Here, who touches on hard topics, like suicide ideation, autism, and personal awareness. Christopher is an autistic survivor of emotional and psychological abuse. He spent years performing wellness and shrinking himself to fit, until collapse forced him into radical honesty. His memoir, "Now That I’m Still Here," is linked below, and traces his journey from global childhood to intimate devastation and the painstaking reclamation of self after nearly losing my life to silence and shame. He shares that he writes and speaks not to inspire but to offer tools for survivors to name their pain, unmask, and reclaim sovereignty.
