righteousness by faith and trusting, need i say the torah was not abolished we need instructions
2026/10/24
Complete Jewish Bible October 24th 2026 page: 11 Genesis 12:1-17:27 page: 497 Isaiah 40:27-41:16 page: 1405 Romans 3:19-5:11 page: 1454 Galatians 3:6-29 page: 1505 Hebrews 11:1-2 and 8-12 important: Why the Torah is Not Abolished It Has a Different Purpose: Paul’s argument is that the Torah wasn't designed to give eternal life—that was always the role of faith and God's promises. Because it has a different purpose, the introduction of faith through the Messiah does not break, cancel, or abolish the Torah.Establishing the Law: This aligns closely with what Paul writes in Romans 3:31, where he uses the exact same phrasing to make this point unmistakable: "Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law."Taking these passages out of context often leads to the mistaken conclusion that the Torah is obsolete, when Paul's actual focus is correcting the misuse of the law as a mechanical checklist for salvation rather than understanding its true spiritual and historical purpose.
