Hey, I’m Garrett—husband, dad of five, and high-producing real estate agent. For years, I chased the industry’s definition of success—more deals, more money, more recognition—while quietly missing family dinners and date nights. I was productive, but I was becoming a burned-out realtor, and my faith and peace were taking a back seat. I realized that if I wanted real freedom in this business, I couldn’t just work harder—I needed a solid framework, better structure, and smarter real estate systems. So I built a plan that honored my faith and my family, not just my production goals. A few simple, intentional strategies allowed me to grow my business, sell a high volume of homes, and still be present at the dinner table every night. Now, through realtor coaching and this podcast, I help other real estate agents do the same. If you’re ready to build structure that honors God—so your business can grow while your family still gets the best of you—you’re in the right place. So grab your coffee, dust off that Bible, and let’s dive in. 📧 [email protected]

287 | The 4 Box Framework That Will Change Your Real Estate Business
2026/04/23
Have questions or need help?  📱 Shoot me a text 🎓 Free Training — April 29th: Go to https://faithfulagent.com/ to register. ------------- Are you building your real estate business by design — or by accident? Most agents don't wake up one day and decide to be overwhelmed. It happens gradually. Someone at a conference says you should be doing open houses. A top agent in your office swears by cold calling. You see a Christian entrepreneur crushing it on Instagram and think, "I should be doing that too." Before long, your business is a collection of random activities instead of a clear, God-honoring strategy. In this episode of The Faithful Agent Podcast, Garrett introduces the Four Box Framework — a simple but powerful tool to help you identify what you should actually be spending your time on in your real estate business. The Four Box Framework asks two questions about every task in your business: Do you love it? And are you good at it? Based on your answers, each task falls into one of four boxes — and your goal as a faith-based realtor is to move as much of your time as possible into the "love it and good at it" box. That's where God uniquely wired you to operate. That's where your business grows and you feel alive doing it. This isn't just time management advice. It's a biblical business principle rooted in stewarding the God-given strengths and gifts He placed inside you. When you stop doing what you were never designed to do, clarity creates margin — and both your business and your life get better at the same time. Key Takeaways 1. "Should" is one of the most dangerous words in real estate. When you build your business based on what you think you should be doing — based on what worked for someone else, what you saw on social media, or what your broker recommended — you end up with a business built by conditioning, not design. 2. You were not designed to do everything. God uniquely wired you with specific gifts, strengths, and natural affinities. When you try to do everything, you dilute the effectiveness of the things that actually matter. 100% of your energy in one God-given lane will always outperform 20% scattered across five lanes. 3. The Four Box Framework helps you find your sweet spot. Divide your business tasks into four categories: Love it + Good at it (sweet spot), Love it + Bad at it (passion, not profit — yet), Hate it + Good at it (danger zone — delegate this first), Hate it + Bad at it (stop immediately). Your goal is to spend more time in the top-left box. That's where your business grows and you feel energized. 4. Your business should be built around your calling, not your capacity. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. When you lean into what God uniquely designed you to do, things start to click. Clarity creates margin — and when you know what to do, what not to do, and what to let go of, your business gets lighter and more effec Connect with Me! Need help in your business? I'm here to help! Quick Cut | Ask a Better Question, Build a Bigger, Better Real Estate Business
2026/04/21
Have questions or need help?  📱 Shoot me a text 🎓 Free Training — April 29th: Go to https://faithfulagent.com/ to register. -------------- What if the thing holding you back isn't your schedule, your health, or your season of life — but what you've been told success has to look like? In this Quick Cut, Garrett shares a story about the time when an agent stopped him mid-training with five words that revealed everything: "I just can't do that anymore." Susie had been a top-three producer in her office for years. But after facing serious health challenges, she quietly accepted a belief that had nothing to do with her capacity — she accepted the industry's conditioning. The idea that growing your real estate business requires more hours, more hustle, more of you showing up everywhere. If you're a Christian real estate agent navigating a new season — whether that's kids, burnout, health, or just shifting priorities — this episode is going to challenge the assumptions you didn't even know you were carrying. Garrett introduces the idea of designing an intentional question: a personalized, measurable question that reflects your real life and forces you to design a real estate business that actually fits it. You'll walk away with a new framework for how faith-based agents can pursue excellence at work without sacrificing what matters most at home. Whether you're just starting to feel the strain or you've already scaled back and accepted less than you were made for — this one will remind you: you don't need to go back to the old way. You just need a better way. Key Takeaways: 1. Your model is the limitation, not your capacity. Most agents who feel like they "can't do it anymore" haven't hit their ceiling — they've hit a broken model. The solution isn't scaling back. It's redesigning the business. 2. The industry has conditioned us to believe success requires suffering. More hours, more hustle, more you. That conditioning is the real problem, and as Christian agents, we're called to something more intentional than that. 3. You can absolutely produce more without requiring more of yourself — but it requires reinvention. That means letting go of how you used to operate and what the industry said success had to look like. 4. Ask yourself a better question. Instead of "How do I sell 30 homes?" try "How do I sell 30 homes without missing family dinner and still coaching my son's soccer game?" The right question forces you to design the right business. 5. Your question should be personal, measurable, and rooted in the life God has given you right now — not the life you had five years ago. Build the question with the Lord and your spouse, then return to it every single day. 6. Intentional business design is the path forward for faith-based agents in new seasons. Structure, systems, and boundaries aren't a retreat from ambition — they're the foundation for sustainable success. Connect with Me! Need help in your business? I'm here to help! 286 | What Should You Actually Be Spending Time on as a Real Estate Agent?
2026/04/16
Have questions or need help?  📱 Shoot me a text 🎓 Free Training — April 29th: Go to https://faithfulagent.com/ to register. ----------------- "A lot of what you're doing is only important in your head."  If real estate feels like both a blessing and a burden, this episode will hit close to home. So many agents are trying to scale a real estate business while feeling overwhelmed, stretched thin, and unsure why their effort is not translating into real growth. In this episode, we break down one of the most important shifts you can make if you want to scale a real estate business without burning out. The truth is, most agents do not have a time problem. They have a clarity problem. You are likely not doing too little. You are doing too much of what does not actually matter. This conversation dives deep into what actually moves the needle in your business. You will learn why lead generation and relationships are your highest-value activities, and why so many agents avoid them in favor of tasks that feel productive but produce little to no income. If you have ever found yourself busy all day but wondering why your business is not growing, this will give you the clarity you have been missing. We also walk through a practical way to calculate your dollar per hour so you can start making real business-owner decisions with your time. When you understand what your time is actually worth in lead generation, it becomes obvious why doing low-value tasks is costing you more than you think. This is where most agents get stuck, especially when trying to grow a real estate agent business growth strategy without systems or support. You will also be challenged to evaluate everything on your calendar and ask a simple but powerful question: does this actually matter? Many of the things you are doing right now only feel important. This episode will help you identify what to eliminate, what to delegate, and what to double down on so you can build a more efficient and profitable business. We also introduce a simple framework using four quadrants to help you identify what you love and are good at, versus what you should stop doing entirely. If you want better time management for real estate agents and a clearer path to growth, this exercise alone can transform how you operate day to day. At its core, this episode is about building a referral based real estate business that allows you to grow with intention. You do not need more strategies, more tools, or more hustle. You need clarity on what actually produces results and the discipline to focus on it consistently. If your goal is to scale a real estate business while protecting your family time, strengthening your faith, and creating real margin in your life, this episode will give you a practical roadmap to start making better decisions today. Quick Cut | 3 Things Every Agent Needs to Understand About AI Right Now
2026/04/14
Have questions or need help?  📱 Shoot me a text 🎓 Free Training — April 29th: Go to https://faithfulagent.com/ to register. -------------------- AI is moving fast — and for real estate agents trying to build a business without sacrificing their faith or family, that speed comes with a real danger. Not just of getting left behind, but of getting pulled in the wrong direction. In this Quick Cut episode, Garrett follows up on his conversation with Jason Pantana by giving agents three things they need to understand about AI right now — before it quietly starts reshaping how they think, work, and live. Whether you're a solo agent juggling showings and school pickups, or a team leader building systems to scale, this episode will challenge you to use AI with more intention — and less chaos. Here's what Garrett covers: #1 — AI is a tool, not a voice of wisdom. These platforms are designed to be helpful, but helpful isn't the same as true. As believers, we already know where wisdom comes from — and it's not ChatGPT. AI will tell you what you want to hear, not what you need to hear. Learn why godly counsel and Scripture can never be replaced by a prompt. #2 — AI should give you your time back, not just make you busier. The biggest mistake agents are making right now is using AI to do more instead of asking whether they should be doing more at all. If the extra capacity AI creates is just getting filled with more work, more content, and more chaos — you're using it wrong. The goal is more output with less cost to your life. #3 — Speed is increasing, but you don't have to live at that pace. Jason mentioned in their interview that he caught himself getting frustrated reading slower than AI could produce a response. That's real. But just because technology moves faster doesn't mean your life should. As Christian real estate professionals, we're called to faithfulness — not constant output. Garrett also shares his experience using Claude to actually take over tasks on a computer, why he thinks most agents are becoming "faster hamsters on the wheel," and a free training coming April 29th to help you build a business that grows without taking over your life. If you're a Christian real estate agent trying to honor God in how you work, use technology, and lead your family — this one's for you. Connect with Me! Need help in your business? I'm here to help! 285 | AI, Real Estate, and Jesus w/ Jason Pantana
2026/04/09
Have questions or need help?  📱 Shoot me a text Artificial intelligence is no longer a future concept — it is actively reshaping the way real estate agents work right now. In this episode, Garrett sits down with Jason Pantana, founder of the AI Marketing Academy and lead trainer with Tom Ferry International, for a wide-ranging conversation about what AI actually is, how agents should be using it, and — just as importantly — how believers should be thinking about it. This is not just a tech episode. It is a conversation about stewardship, wisdom, margin, and what it looks like to use powerful tools without letting those tools use you. Jason and Garrett blend practical, actionable strategy with a grounded, faith-centered perspective that you will not find anywhere else in the real estate space. KEY TAKEAWAYS - AI is not the next thing you have to learn — it is the first technology that offers to do the work for you. For years, agents have faced wave after wave of new platforms — Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok — each one adding more to their plates. Jason reframes AI entirely: the marketing channels have not changed, but AI can now help you do the work those channels require. It is not an addition to your workload. It is a solution to it. - The outputs of AI are always words, images, sounds, or video — and those are also the raw materials of all marketing. Every postcard, email, social post, reel, blog, or ad you create is some combination of those four elements. Once you understand that, you can identify the right AI tool for every task rather than relying on one tool for everything. - AI agents like Claude Cowork represent a new era — one where AI does not just respond, it acts. Claude Cowork goes beyond a chatbot. It connects to your apps and tools, accesses files on your computer, browses the web, and executes tasks while you are doing something else entirely. - AI is a tool, not a counselor — and believers need to keep it in its lane. AI is impressive, but it is not wise. It does not have the Spirit. It is designed to be a helpful assistant, which means it will often affirm you rather than challenge you. Use it as a tool for streamlining tasks — not as a source of wisdom or a substitute for the real relationships and real counsel God has placed in your life. - When AI buys back your time, invest it in what matters most. If AI makes you more efficient, the question is not how to fill that time with more work — it is how to steward it. Go be with your kids. Be present with your spouse. Honor what the Lord called you to first. Quick Cut | 3 Practical Steps to Double Your Sales Without Doubling Your Time
2026/04/07
Have questions or need help?  📱 Shoot me a text ----------------------- "Tension doesn't mean you're weak, it means you're awake." What if you could double your real estate sales without giving up a single dinner with your family? In this Quick Cut episode, Garrett digs into one of the biggest lies the real estate industry has quietly accepted: that more money requires more of your life. Spoiler — it doesn't have to. Whether you're a seasoned agent feeling burned out, or a newer agent trying to build a business without losing yourself in the process, this episode delivers a clear, practical, three-part framework designed to help you scale smarter — not harder. Garrett shares his own story of generating over 700 closings in 12 years while averaging just 1–2 hours of lead generation per week. His approach? Ruthless simplicity, strategic leverage, and intentional time protection. Most agents are spread thin across Instagram, cold outreach, open houses, paid ads, YouTube, farming, and referrals — doing a little of everything and excelling at nothing. In this episode, Garrett breaks down why doing fewer things better will always outperform doing everything at once, how to identify the 1 or 2 lead sources that are actually generating your business, and how to become exceptional at those instead of exhausted by all of them. Once your lead generation is dialed in, the next growth barrier is you. Agents who keep solving a systems problem with personal effort will always hit a ceiling. Garrett walks through how leverage — transaction coordinators, showing assistants, admin support, and smarter workflows — gives your time back without ever sacrificing the client experience. If you don't have an admin, you are the admin. And that means you're doing $30/hour work instead of $500/hour work. Finally, Garrett gets honest about something the industry almost never teaches: protecting your time on purpose. Your business will consume whatever space you leave open. Deciding ahead of time what matters — your dinners, your evenings, your weekends, your peace — isn't laziness. It's building with intention. The goal isn't just more sales. It's more sales in a way that still lets you be there for the people you're building it for in the first place. If you've been feeling that tension between wanting to grow and not wanting to lose your life in the process, this episode is for you. That tension doesn't mean you're weak — it means you're awake. And the good news? There's a better way to build. Connect with Me! Need help in your business? I'm here to help! TOP REPLAY | Are You Forcing Growth? How to Scale Real Estate Business by Surrendering Control and Leading With Faith w/Jess Munsterman
2026/04/02
Have questions or need help?  📱 Shoot me a text What if the very thing keeping you stuck in your business isn’t your strategy — but your need to stay in control? In this episode of The Faithful Agent Podcast, Garrett sits down with Jess Munster for a conversation that goes far deeper than sales tactics, lead generation, or productivity. This episode is about what it really looks like to scale real estate business in a way that doesn’t quietly cost you your faith, your family, or your peace. Because if you’ve been in this industry for any amount of time, you’ve probably felt the tension. Your business may be “working” on paper. You may have closings, momentum, and outward signs of success. But underneath all of that, something can still feel off. You can be building something that looks good from the outside while feeling deeply out of alignment on the inside. Whether you’re a realtor mom trying to be present for your family while carrying the emotional load of business, or a realtor dad feeling the pressure to provide without becoming consumed by work, this episode gets right to the heart of that internal conflict. It names something many Christian agents feel but don’t always know how to describe: the gap. The gap between what you say matters and how you’re actually living. The gap between your faith and your business. The gap between who you are in private and how you show up professionally.  If you want to gain leverage, not just make more money, then you have to build from a different foundation. Real leverage doesn’t just come from hiring an assistant or automating a few tasks. It comes from clarity. It comes from knowing what you’re actually called to carry and what you’re not. It comes from prayerfully building systems, delegating wisely, and being willing to stop running your business from a place of panic or self-reliance.  Surrender is not a formula for growth. It’s an act of trust. Sometimes God multiplies what you’ve built. Sometimes He strips things back. Sometimes the fruit of surrender is not a bigger year in business, but deeper peace, clearer purpose, stronger integrity, and more presence at home. That’s what makes this such an honest conversation for anyone trying to build a faith driven business without turning God into a means to an end.  If you’ve been trying to scale real estate business while also protecting your family, your sanity, and your spiritual life, this episode is going to encourage you in a deep way. It’s not a hype episode. It’s not built on hustle language or empty inspiration. It’s a grounded, honest conversation about what it looks like to release control, walk in obedience, and build with a different kind of confidence — not confidence in yourself, but confidence that God is able to lead you better than your own striving ever could. Quick Cut | Encouragement for the Anxious Agent: The Lord Provides
2026/03/31
Have questions or need help? I'm here to help! 📱 Shoot me a text ------------ Anxiety in business doesn’t always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like checking your pipeline one more time. Refreshing your email. Wondering if the next deal will hold together. Feeling behind even when things are technically “fine.” For a lot of people in the real estate grind, anxiety has become so normal that we barely even question it anymore. In this short episode of The Faithful Agent Podcast, I open up Luke 12 and offer a quick reminder for every agent, business owner, and faith driven entrepreneur who feels the weight of uncertainty, pressure, and the constant temptation to put their hope in performance. Jesus says, “Do not be anxious about your life…” — and that hits differently when you’re carrying real responsibility. Closings. Income. Family. Team pressure. Bills. Expectations. Future plans. The tension is real. I walk through why anxiety often reveals something deeper than just a busy schedule or a stressful week. This episode gets to the heart of what causes so much stress in business in the first place: misplaced treasure. When your security starts getting tied to your pipeline, your commissions, your savings account, your momentum, or your business growth, anxiety will always be waiting nearby. That’s especially true for anyone trying to build a business while also protecting work life balance and staying present at home. If you’ve ever felt torn between trusting God and trying to control every outcome yourself, this conversation will hit home. Luke 12 applies to the real everyday struggles so many agents and entrepreneurs face:  fear about money  fear about the future  pressure to keep producing  the temptation to measure your worth by your income  the internal unrest that comes when your heart slowly drifts toward earthly security If you’ve been carrying anxiety, feeling crushed by the real estate grind, wrestling with stress in business, or struggling to find real work life balance as a faith driven entrepreneur, this episode will point you back to where peace is actually found. In this episode, you’ll hear:  Why anxiety is often a spiritual issue before it’s a productivity issue  What Luke 12 teaches us about money, provision, and trust  How the pursuit of success can quietly steal your peace  Why your business may be revealing where your heart really is  A better lens for handling uncertainty in real estate and entrepreneurship Connect with Me! TOP REPLAY | How to Build Realtor Structure With AI Without Compromising Your Faith w/Bianka Downs
2026/03/26
Have questions or need help in your business? I'm here to help! 📱 Shoot me a text If AI makes business faster, how do you keep it from making your life noisier too? This is one of the most played episodes in The Faithful Agent podcast history! --- In this top replay, I share my conversation with Bianca Downs about one of the biggest questions facing Christian agents right now: How should a Christian think about AI? Because let’s be honest — AI for real estate agents is everywhere right now. From content creation to follow-up to systems and productivity, it feels like every agent is being told they need to use it or risk getting left behind. But for many faith-driven agents, the real question is deeper than just how to use it. The question is: Should we? And if we do… how do we use it in a way that honors God? This conversation goes beyond tactics and gets to the heart of what it means to be a christian realtor in a rapidly changing industry. Garrett and Bianca unpack how to approach AI through a biblical lens, how to use it with discernment instead of fear, and why the goal is not to become more robotic — but to become more intentional. You’ll hear a practical and faith-filled conversation around how AI can help you gain leverage in your business, create better systems, and simplify the things that are currently draining your time and energy. Whether you’re buried under content creation, struggling with consistency, or trying to improve your real estate lead generation, this episode will help you think about AI in a healthier, wiser way. They also talk about the danger of using technology to feed hustle instead of stewardship — and why so many agents are still trapped in the real estate grind even when they have more tools than ever before. If your business feels noisy, scattered, reactive, or heavier than it should, this conversation will help you step back and ask a better question: Is this tool helping me serve my calling… or distracting me from it? One of the most powerful parts of the episode is Bianca’s SOUL Framework, a simple biblical way to evaluate AI and technology as a whole: S = Stewardship → Use the tool to multiply, not hustle O = Obedience → Let it support the assignment, not distract from it U = Understanding → Ask God for wisdom before adding more systems L = Love → Use freedom to serve others, not just yourself This episode is especially for the christian realtor who wants to stay relevant, wise, productive, and faithful in a world that is moving fast. If you’ve been curious about AI for real estate agents, trying to improve your systems, or looking for smarter ways to handle real estate lead generation while still keeping your faith and priorities intact, this one is for you. Because the goal is not just to use AI.  The goal is to use it well. Connect with Me! Need help in your business? I'm here to help! Quick Cut | Probability vs. Possibility: Why Simplicity Scales While Complexity Fails in Real Estate
2026/03/24
Have questions or need help? Text me --- What if the real reason you feel like a burned out agent isn’t because you need to work harder… but because your business is built wrong? So many agents are chasing more deals, more income, and more growth… but deep down, they feel like a burned out agent just trying to keep up. The business might be producing, but it’s also consuming—nights, weekends, and the very time you said you were doing all of this for in the first place. That’s not true work life balance, and it’s not sustainable. In this episode, we unpack why most agents don’t have a motivation problem—they have a realtor structure problem. You’ll learn how to shift from building your business on possibility to building it on probability, using simple, repeatable realtor systems that actually get executed. Because the truth is, complexity doesn’t scale—simplicity does. We break down how the right systems and leverage can help you stop the cycle of inconsistent lead generation, constant overwhelm, and reactive business. Instead, you’ll begin to design a business that produces consistently without requiring you to be “on” all the time. When your realtor systems are simple and sustainable, you can grow your deals without sacrificing your family, your faith, or your peace. This episode will challenge you to evaluate everything you’re currently doing and ask one powerful question: “Is this actually probable for me to execute every single week?” Because when you build around what’s realistic—not ideal—you finally create real work life balance and long-term success. Most agents are just one simplified system away from doubling their business without doubling their time. ---  Connect with Me! Need help in your business? I'm here to help! TOP REPLAY: Why Sticking To a Schedule Is Significant To Accomplishing Our Goals
2026/03/19
Need help implementing what I talked about in today's episode? I'm here to help!📱 Shoot me a text Top Replay — one of the most listened to episodes in our history! In this top replay, we revisit a conversation that has resonated with hundreds of real estate agents over the years. Originally recorded when the podcast was called Serving Not Selling, this episode tackles a challenge nearly every agent faces at some point in their career: how to take control of your schedule before your business takes control of your life. Real estate can quickly become reactive. Showings pop up, offers come in late at night, clients need quick answers, and before long your days feel scattered and chaotic. Without intentional time management, agents often find themselves constantly busy but not always productive. Over time, that pace leads to frustration, declining productivity, and eventually burnout. We discuss the importance of identifying the “big rocks” in your life — the priorities that matter most — and structuring your calendar around them before anything else fills your time. Family, faith, relationships, and meaningful work all require intentional space on the calendar if they’re truly going to remain priorities. We also explore how to organize your week into intentional “buckets.” Instead of reacting to every request that comes your way, you can create dedicated blocks of time for specific types of work — content creation, meetings, learning, relationship building, or business development.  Then we jump into how strong real estate systems can dramatically reduce the chaos many agents experience. It is essential to build simple systems and processes around communication, follow-up, and client care, you create space to focus on the highest-value activities in your business. Another key theme of this episode is the power of your sphere of influence. Instead of constantly chasing new leads, agents who build deep relationships with the people already in their world often experience more consistent business and less stress. When your business is rooted in trust and relationships, you can focus your time on meaningful conversations rather than constant prospecting. We also explore the role of leverage in creating a sustainable real estate career. By leveraging certain parts of your business — whether through systems, support, or structured processes — you can free up time to focus on what matters most. The goal isn’t simply to work fewer hours, but to spend your time where it has the greatest impact. Your calendar reveals what truly matters to you. If something is important — whether that’s family time, personal growth, or building a meaningful real estate business — it needs to show up in your schedule. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by the demands of real estate, struggled with time management, or wondered how to build a thriving business without constant burnout, this replay will give you practical ideas and encouragement to start designing a business that Connect with Me! Quick Cut | Solving the Speed to Lead Problem and Restoring Work Life Balance
2026/03/17
Need help in your business? I'm here to help! Shoot me a quick text and we'll figure out the next step in winning at work without losing at life.  📱 Text Me Many real estate agents believe the only way to succeed is by constantly being available — answering every lead immediately, dropping everything for showings, and sacrificing evenings, weekends, and family time in the name of productivity. But what if that belief is wrong? In this quick-cut episode, Garrett shares a powerful story about a new agent named Sandy who found herself trapped in the exhausting speed-to-lead culture that dominates much of the real estate industry. She was closing deals and generating income, but it came at a cost — her work life balance, her time with family, and her overall peace. After leaving her family on a Sunday to show a Zillow lead a home — only to discover that the buyer had already signed with another agent — Sandy realized something had to change.  That moment sparked a conversation about how many agents are unknowingly building businesses that require them to work more hours, chase more leads, and sacrifice the very life they hoped real estate would create. Garrett walks through the key mindset shift that helped Sandy rethink her entire business model. Instead of focusing on how many homes she needed to sell, they looked at the real number that matters in business: how much income she actually kept. By reframing the math, Sandy realized she didn’t need 19 deals again the following year to earn the same income — she only needed about eight. That single realization opened the door to a completely different way of building a real estate business — one centered on relationships, referrals, and intentional systems that support both productivity and personal freedom. This episode is a powerful reminder that building a thriving real estate career does not require sacrificing your family, faith, or personal priorities. When you shift from chasing internet leads to nurturing real relationships, you can build a business that allows you to work fewer hours while still growing your income. The goal isn’t just more closings; it's building a business that allows you to succeed at work and at home. In This Episode You’ll Learn: Why the speed-to-lead culture is hurting agents’ work life balanceHow to evaluate your business based on income instead of transaction countThe simple math that can help you work fewer hours while earning the same incomeHow a referral-based model improves both productivity and time managementWhy relationship-driven businesses lead to better long-term results than lead-chasingNext Steps If this episode resonated with you, take a moment to ask yourself: Is my business model forcing me to sacrifice my personal life?Am I chasing transactions instead of building relationships? What would my business look like if I focused Connect with Me! 284 | Tired of Chasing Leads? The Upstream Referral Strategy That Creates Predictable Closings w/ Justin Stoddart (Lead Generation)
2026/03/12
Real estate lead generation doesn’t have to mean chasing cold internet leads, buying ads, or constantly competing for attention online. In this episode of The Faithful Agent Podcast, Garrett Maroon sits down with entrepreneur, author, and Pro Insight co-founder Justin Stoddart to unpack a powerful shift in how agents think about real estate lead generation—moving from downstream competition to upstream relationships. This shift will transform your business and help you get more referrals consistently! Most agents are working harder than ever. They’re boosting posts, purchasing online leads, and trying to win the speed-to-lead race—yet their pipeline still feels unstable. Justin challenges this approach by asking a simple but profound question: what if the problem isn’t your effort… but where you’re fishing? Instead of competing directly for consumers, Justin introduces the concept of building strategic referral partnerships with professionals who are already connected to homeowners before a move ever happens. Think financial advisors, estate attorneys, tax professionals, and insurance agents—people who already have trusted conversations with your ideal clients. By positioning yourself in the right relationship ecosystem, real estate lead generation becomes far more predictable and relational. Garrett and Justin explore how agents can leverage their sphere of influence while expanding into what Justin calls “upstream partnerships.” These relationships allow professionals who already nurture homeowners to introduce you at exactly the right moment—when a move is about to happen. The result is a referral pipeline built on trust instead of urgency. The conversation also dives into the character behind sustainable success. Both Garrett and Justin emphasize that strong referral businesses grow from generosity, service, and integrity. When agents operate with a mindset of stewardship and contribution rather than extraction, they naturally experience greater peace in business and deeper client relationships. You’ll also hear practical insights on identifying your ideal client avatar, determining which professionals surround that life stage, and building partnerships that multiply opportunities without multiplying your workload. For agents seeking better money and work alignment, this approach offers a refreshing alternative to the traditional grind of online lead platforms. Whether you’re looking for better systems, stronger relationships, or a smarter real estate marketing strategy that doesn’t require sacrificing time with your family, this episode will challenge how you think about growth. If you want realtor coaching insights that combine practical strategy with faith-driven leadership, this conversation will equip you to build a referral business that’s both scalable and sustainable. 283 | Exposing the Lie that More Closings Mean More Absence: Realtor Systems to Sell More Homes and Protect Presence
2026/03/05
Realtor systems are the difference between scaling your income and sacrificing your presence at home. In this episode, we expose the lie that more closings automatically mean more absence—and why that belief has quietly shaped thousands of real estate careers. For years, agents have accepted the false equation that more production equals less family time. But what if that’s not true? What if the real issue isn’t volume… but a lack of mature systems? Garrett unpacks the dangerous mindset that says, “If I want to sell more homes, I have to miss more dinners.” That belief sounds logical on the surface. More deals equal more work. More work equals more time away. But Garrett points out that growth doesn’t demand your absence—chaos does. When your business grows faster than your structure, your family pays the price. This conversation dives deep into what actually protects presence while increasing production. Predictable lead generation. Clear communication boundaries. Defined response windows. Protected calendar blocks. Strategic leverage. These aren’t luxuries—they are mature realtor systems. Garrett shares a powerful story of a father trying to double his income without sacrificing time with his daughters. The breakthrough wasn’t about grinding harder. It was about structure. The truth is, you don’t need smaller goals—you need stronger realtor systems. When your business is built on clarity instead of chaos, you can gain momentum without losing alignment. There’s also an honest reflection on ambition. Ambition isn’t the enemy. But unmanaged ambition will redline your life. Especially for the faith driven entrepreneur, success without boundaries can quietly erode what matters most. Selling more homes should not cost you your calling. The real win is building a business that allows you to gain leverage, work fewer hours, and create true work life balance without shrinking your income. If you’ve ever felt physically present but mentally absent… if you’ve told yourself “it’s just a season”… if you’ve believed that doubling production means doubling stress… this episode will challenge that narrative. Because the problem isn’t growth. The problem is immature structure. Going from 20 to 40 deals doesn’t require more chaos—it requires better realtor systems. From hiring a showing assistant to implementing a transaction coordinator, from setting office hours to defining client expectations, Garrett walks through practical shifts that create freedom. These are the same structural principles any seasoned money expert would tell you: maximize your highest and best use of time, delegate the rest, and build assets—not exhaustion. The question isn’t, “Can I sell more homes?” The question is, “Can I sell more homes the right way?” If your production doubled tomorrow, would your peace collapse—or would your realtor systems support it? This episode is for the high-producing Christian agent who refuses to choose between success and presence. You don’t need to shrink your ambition. You need to mature your str Connect with Me! 282 | The Successful Realtor’s Guide to Growing Visibility through Social Media Without Sacrificing Family ft. Eric Simon, the Broke Agent
2026/02/26
A successful realtor knows that growth is not just about closings — it’s about alignment. I'm joined by Eric Simon; we unpack what it truly means to be a successful realtor in an era where attention is currency and visibility feels mandatory. More agents than ever are building personal brands. Social media isn’t optional anymore. Clients aren’t just checking reviews — they’re checking Instagram, watching stories, deciding who they trust before ever making a call. But here’s the tension: scaling attention without structure can quietly pull you away from the very life you’re working to build. The modern successful realtor must learn to grow influence without drifting from identity, family, or calling. Because influence itself isn’t dangerous — unstructured influence is. You'll learn: Why authenticity beats imitation every timeWhy posting about what you actually enjoy unlocks sustainable content & how realtor systems can helpThe hidden dopamine cycle of social media & how it impacts performanceFor the successful realtor, social media should amplify connection — not replace it. That means being known for more than listings. It means letting your personality, hobbies, faith, and family perspective shape your content. People don’t hire logos; they hire people. This conversation also goes deeper into building a faith driven business in a digital world. Can you scale influence without becoming addicted to validation? Can you pursue time freedom instead of trading visibility for constant accessibility? One of the biggest shifts discussed is this: no one thinks about your content as much as you do. That realization is freeing. It removes pressure. It allows experimentation. It reduces fear of failure. And it empowers the successful realtor to show up consistently without obsessing over metrics. We also unpack how attention connects to long-term growth strategies like real estate agent referrals. Visibility doesn’t replace referrals — it strengthens them. When people feel like they know you, trust compounds faster. Influence accelerates relationship-based business. Ultimately, this episode challenges you to define success correctly. A successful realtor isn’t simply the one with the biggest following or the most deals. It’s the one who builds influence with integrity, protects what matters most, and creates structure before scaling further. Successful realtors can make more money through social media, but it can't come at the cost of presence at home. ---- Eric Simon is the founder of Broke Agent Media (BAM). He started in real estate as an agent but quickly realized his true edge wasn’t just in selling homes—it was in telling the real story of what agents actually go through. He launched The Broke Agent as a humor brand that captured the chaos, rejection, wins, and absurdity of the industry.  Today, BAM produces daily content, newsletters, podcasts, and educational resources that shape conversations across the industr Connect with Me!
