Description
While there are new movies that are fun and enjoyable, they just don‘t have the same impact as the movies we remember as kids/teenagers. So, we figured we were not alone in our nostalgia and created a podcast to entertain people who feel the same as us. We will talk about what made certain movies so memorable. We will talk about a movie so cheesy but still makes us smile. We will share a memory of watching a movie for the first time. Also home to B-Action Podcast and After Hours Cinema with Anna and Pete

Dead Heat - B/Action
2026/10/27
Being dead has its perks in an Action movie. Most of all is being immune to bullets. The Patron Saint of the “Give Me Back” community, Roger Mortis, displays this best in 1988’s Dead Heat! Treat Williams and Joe Piscapoe are the perfect duo in a movie that blurs the lines between action and horror. We praise the special effects craftsmanship displayed through makeup and practical work. We indulge in an extreme amount of bullets and explosions. We laugh at the jokes and campy humor. But, will it all be enough to achieve the ranking of BADASS and enshrine itself in the halls of B-ACTION fame?!

The Ghost and Mr. Chicken | After Hours Cinema
2026/10/23
Tonight on After Hours Cinema:
From the desk of Pete-
"This is probably the oldest movie AHCRAP has covered, and we can't blame listeners if they've never seen Don Knotts or maybe even don't know who he is. Frankly, comedic actors like Kristin Wiig, Rowan Atkins, and Jim Carrey owe a great deal to Don for the success of their style. While the jokes in this film are dated, they are timeless and we strongly recommend putting yourself in the shoes of a movie goer in 1966 rather than comparing it to anything in the present day. The Ghost and Mr. Chicken is a delightfully spooky comedy that's appropriate for all ages and is a fun gateway horror movie to indoctrinate any young cinephile. BTW, Anna and Pete get the giggles talking about the movie so bare with us as we gush over this one. Shout out to our fathers who sat us down at a young age to watch it with us."
Lady Frankenstein | After Hours Cinema
2026/10/20
Tonight, on After Hours Cinema:
From the desk of Pete-
"While it's not actually a Hammer production, the movie Lady Frankenstein feels like one in every possible way. Gothic sets, mad scientists, village mobs, a grotesque monster and, of course, plenty of nudity. Lady Frankenstein is a surprisingly pro-feminist film while being typically exploitative of the genre. I'm not sure this one has great rewatchability, but it's certainly worth a viewing."
Maximum Overdrive - B/Action
2026/10/13
Who Made Who?! Who Made You?!
We ain't here to discuss philosophy, but we are here to talk…HORROR?! Buckle up as we kick off the Month of Horror with a head banging, cocaine fueled ride into the mind of Stephen King with 1986’s MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE! Bask in the smell of diesel fuel and nostalgia as Charlie and Mickey discuss their personal ties to the film and Dustin waxes poetic on his love of horror. We also have special guests in the house with Big D's co-hosts from The Barrens Hideout, Anna and Little D! Have fun, but be careful not to get steamrolled in all the excitement!

Ghostbusters - Give Me Back
2026/10/06
Tackling a movie the likes of Ghostbusters is daunting for a podcast. I mean, what HASN'T been said about this movie. There's literally nothing we can talk about that's already been covered countless times on other, and most likely, better shows. So how do we bring you an entertaining show without rehashing the same trivia? Well, we do it Give Me Back style with a whole heap of personal nostalgia and our experiences with the movie from our youth. You won't get any movie facts in this show. Just a fun walk down memory lane. Enjoy!
The Fast and the Furious - Need 4 Speed
2026/09/29
***DANGER TO MANIFOLD***
We’re shifting into NOS-fueled nostalgia as we rip open the movie that started it all — Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Corona bottles, quarter-mile lives, and dialogue that should not work but absolutely does. We talk about why the first Fast and Furious film still hits hard and is definitely a top contender in the franchise with practical stunts that actually mattered, that buster-to-brother arc, and whether Dom Toretto was already the most quotable philosopher in action movies. So buckle up for Family, felonies, and really bad DVD player robberies — let’s ride.... A quarter mile at a time

Forced Vengeance - B/Action
2026/09/22
It's no secret how much we love Chuck Norris, and sometimes that love needs to be FORCED upon the non-believers. That brings us to 1982’s Forced Vengeance! Chuck Norris is Josh Randall head of security for a family casino in Hong Kong. He collects checks and breaks necks! When the family gets in over their heads, Randall has to jump into action! Chuck Norris takes no shit in this one as he tears through the bad guys ranks looking for revenge! We gush over fight scenes and badass dialogue. We laugh at the no nonsense character that is Josh Randall. Most of all, we argue over the rating!

We're the Millers | After Hours Cinema
2026/09/15
Tonight, on After Hours Cinema: From the desk of Anna - "I wanted to go a different direction for September and bring a straight up comedy to the table. We're the Millers is one of my favorites from the mid 2000's, and I feel like comedy movies like this don't get made anymore. Pete famously doesn't like comedies, so I knew it would be a crap shoot picking this one in the first place. We, luckily, had a delightful conversation and discovered how we review a different genre together. Pete broadened his horizons and we had a learning experience together. Win win."
Avenging Force w/ Steve Kostanski - B/Action
2026/09/08
Matt Hunter returns to B-ACTION! But not THAT Matt Hunter. This is The Dudikoff we're talking about and he's bringing the heat! But so are we with a special guest! Director, writer, make up and special effects artist Steven Kostanki joins the B-ACTION crew to talk about 1986's Avenging Force! It's a wild ride in the bayou with guns, swords, tridents, and more! Stop me if you've heard this one before: The world's richest and most powerful men are racist assholes with a desire to hunt other men for sport. Only this time, they picked the wrong guy! This one is brutal and pulls no punches, which makes it awesome when it comes time to kill the bad guys!

Battle Royale - Action?
2026/09/01
Battle Royale
Before we started recording, we talked about whether or not Battle Royale (2000) was an action or horror movie and we landed on action movie with extremely horrific tones. Pete's main talking point was that unlike a big explodie action movie where grunts are mowed down by the dozens, Battle Royale gives every murdered victim a name and number so that regardless how you feel about that particular character, you still get to know them. Not only are children killing each other but you also kinda know who they are which is where the horror come into place. The subject of a forced deathmatch has been covered by films like "Lord of the Flies," "The Running Man," "The Hunger Games" and even video games like "PUBG" and "Fortnight" but what Battle Royale does is lean heavily on the brutality and hopelessness of the situation. It's a recommended movie from both of us, just know it's not a movie you're going to have fun with at any point.

Back in Action - B/Action
2026/08/25
A cop on the edge crosses paths with a man on a mission to find his sister and no one on the streets is safe! Roddy Piper is Officer Roddy Piper and Billy Blanks is basically The Punisher in 1994’s Back in Action! This one flirts with the “Buddy Cop” theme but they're not buddies and only one of them is a cop! Billy Blanks is opening cans of Whoop-Ass on anyone dumb enough to get his way. Roddy Piper is throwing clotheslines and brawling without hesitation. This movie goes wild with gang violence, Martial arts, guns, and explosions at every turn…but can it survive a pointless forbidden love story and lame bad guys?! WARNING: VAN VIOLENCE

The Believers | After Hours Cinema
2026/08/18
If you didn't live through the Satanic Panic of the 1980s this film may not land with you. Those of us who remember the ridiculous reactions that parents had to anything remotely "evil" will certainly get why this movie has the potential to scare your pants off. The trailer for this film scared a 14-year-old Pete so bad that he waited to watch it until he picked it for this show. Kids are such chicken s***s. If you like Rosemary's Baby or The Omen, then give The Believers a shot. There's an EPIC dummy fall at the end that's worth every bit of this slow burn.
China O'Brian - B/Action
2026/08/11
She's just a small town girl living in a denim world. She takes the Chrysler train going anywhere Richard Norton is! 1990s China O'Brien carries The Walking Tall torch into a new decade! China returns to her hometown to find it's corrupted by sleezeballs and when they attack her family and friends, she decides to clean it up with fists and roundhouse kicks! It doesn't hurt to have a hunky badass Richard Norton on your side, as well as a dirt bike riding silent protector named Dakota! The fight scenes go hard, the soundtrack is so damn good, and Cynthia Rothrock is an AMAZING actress Dustin!

Double Feature: Popcorn & Slaughterhouse - Give Me Back My
2026/08/04
After the success of "MONTH OF ACTION" Charlie and Pete need a little break from all the action movies and decide to level set with a couple of horror movies that epitomize the Give Me Back narrative. Memories of the VHS covers for Slaughterhouse and Popcorn live rent free in the minds of your GMB hosts invoking both intense fear and morbid curiosity in their young minds. To our delight, both films paired surprisingly well and their late 80s/early 90s charm just made watching these films a real treat.
Street Fighter - B/Action
2026/07/31
For you, the day B-ACTION graced your playlist was the most important day of your life, but for us…it was a Friday. Now get on the sticks and choose your favorite character because we're covering 1994's Street Fighter! We can't get enough of Raul Julia's iconic performance in this movie. Cool moves, well placed comedy, and larger than life characters make for a fun time! That's not to say there aren't a few strikes against this classic…we're looking at you Blanka. But it's not enough to bring our spirits down. Now do you wanna go home, or do you wanna go with us!?

This is a fun podcast that doesn’t take itself seriously but is well produced and not overly long. A good selection of movies.
