Donna was healthy and fairly active, but after the birth of her second daughter, was slowly gaining unwanted weight every year. Despite her best efforts to manage and control her eating habits on her own, she was diagnosed with pre-diabetes. This was a diagnosis that was close to home, literally. She was witnessing some of her closest loved ones suffer from diabetes and weight control that did not just inconvenience them, it was killing them.
