RARÓG hails from Gorzów Wielkopolski, an industrial city in western Poland that has influenced his raw, uncompromising DIY sound. He has also been drawn to darkness in music, and that manifests in the material he releases as he blends Techno, ambient, IDM, drone, EBM and metal into arresting, filmic soundscapes on labels like this one, ANTIMODUS and [R]3volution Uncod3d. Singular shadowy intensity and unrelenting depth define his latest outing once more. Evocative opener 'Dark Sun' has a rolling techno rhythm that is detailed with caustic texture, wiry electronics and a sense of post-human dystopia. It's a wall of sound for heads-down dancing, and then 'Elephant In The Room' kicks like its namesake with earth-shattering weight. Intense, stormy synths and oversized hi-hats heighten the intensity and ensure maximum destruction on the dancefloor. Experimental introspective techno arrives September 24 on Ethnic Meeting. SEVILLA — Ethnic Meeting Label announces SEQUENCES, a nine-track LP from Spanish techno producer K.MARTIN. The album explores experimental and introspective territory through a purist lens, building nine distinct sonic sequences that prioritize depth and restraint over immediate impact. French label Skryptöm is moving a step forward with a new release. A hallway is somewhere you pass through. Not the room you have left, not the room you are heading for — just the stretch in between, where the sound from both sides bleeds together and nothing has quite resolved. Truant.J has built a career in that kind of space. The Victoria-based artist works between the dance floor and the esoteric, and Dancing In The Hallway is the clearest statement of that yet: eight tracks of techno made as much from texture and atmosphere as from drums, functional enough for the floor and strange enough to stay with you afterwards. The record marks his return to Skryptöm after the collaborative album with Moteka — this time alone. It is a natural fit. The Detroit-based Infolines label drops its eighth compilation, featuring label boss Echoføn, Rex Sepulveda, and Infolines label bosses ADMN & Dev-Lish (Ian Desmond), arriving 8th September 2026. First up, Echoføn is the Detroit-based production duo and Blank Code co-founders Chad Parraghi and Corbin Davis. The mix of techno, drum & bass, and complex polyrhythms has long been shaping their native underground while picking up high-profile support from the likes of Polygonia and Kangding Ray. They open with the slow, dark, mid-tempo moodiness of 'Liedernacht', which has dubby drums and unsettling atmospherics. Next is Infolines founder, music engineer, TV Lounge resident alumni, and Lincoln Factory resident ADMN, aka Alexander Drazin, who explores the darker recesses of techno on labels like Planet E, Rekids, and Refuge. Here he works with Detek Music co-owner and 20-year veteran Dev-Lish (Ian Desmond), who has a renowned live show and explores a wide range of techno soundscapes. Their 'Physical Education' suspends you amid crunchy percussion and bleeping synth modulations that are unsettling yet inviting as the physical groove stomps through a lonely landscape. Rex Sepulveda is another Motor City mainstay and founding member of D Records, whose sound fuses the city's unmistakable techno heritage with influences from across the globe. Active since the mid-1990s, he's released and remixed for Development, D Records, Plus 8 and Flumo, amongst others. His 'Hanzatud' is a warped, elastic deep techno rhythm, imbued with abstract textures and wonky pads that evoke freaky dancing and alien imagery. Finally, ADMN goes solo for 'Carrier Sense', which dials up the pressure with glitchy synth patches and prying pads over thudding, swinging kicks. It's a fantastic tension builder with a muscular presence and futuristic outlook. Dirty Epic welcomes aboard @vilmusic for the 145th installment of Amplify Series. Electronic dance music and beyond. Nuno Costa began his ventures into electronic music in 2008 with his Sinner moniker, and with it he created Warface, a local crew and promoter focused on dubstep, drum ’n’ bass, and UK garage. In 2013 he kickstarted his new project, VIL, focusing mainly on techno. His debut EP came in early 2015, when Portuguese label Extended Records picked him up for a release. Soon after, he released on Lewis Fautzi’s “Faut Section” imprint, on the legendary Synewave New York, run by Damon Wild and Be as One records from Shlomi Aber. VIL’s refined taste and set building ability has already earned him a place at some of the best clubs in the country, of which Lux Frágil and Gare are included, and is a regular presence at many of the country’s festivals as well. Fast forward to 2018, where alongside Portuguese artists Temudo and Menosdois, he creates Hayes, a collective focused on showcasing the distinct output of its artists through vinyl and digital releases. Already counting with several vinyl releases since its inception and garnering support by some of the biggest name in the scene, Hayes turns out to be one the most promising labels to rise during the pandemic. Furthermore VIL used the extended time in the studio between 2020 and 2021 to place his output on renowned labels outside of his own realm. Dirty Epic welcomes aboard @ocdtechno for the 144th installment of Amplify Series. Since 2017, queer techno artist OCD has developed a distinctive sound where powerful, relentless rhythms collide with a deep sensitivity to atmosphere, vulnerability, and emotional and psychological depth. A resident DJ at Berlin’s renowned queer party Gegen, she is committed to inclusive, expressive dancefloors. Her releases span labels including Noise Manifesto, Gegen, Voxnox, Boudica, Instruments of Discipline, and Khazad Records. After openly sharing her cancer treatment experience in 2024, OCD’s sound evolved into a darker, more introverted form, seeking the transcendental power of pain as a way to process both personal and collective emotional trauma. Her music aims to evoke intense emotions and allow them to be lived within an alternative space beyond conventional social frameworks. A key milestone was her release on Paula Temple’s Noise Manifesto, coinciding with the label’s closure. She has shared the stage multiple times with Paula Temple, including performances at Noise Manifesto label nights. She has also shared the stage with artists she admires such as SNTS, Ancient Methods, Headless Horseman, Ellen Allien, Schwefelgelb, and Bloody Mary, and this year has performed again on the main stage at Whole Festival. With performances at iconic venues including Tresor, RSO, Khidi, and KitKatClub, OCD has toured extensively across Europe, playing in Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Poland, the Netherlands, Greece, and Georgia. In 2025, she expanded her reach globally with her first Asian tour, performing in Mongolia, Taiwan (at the infamous Pawnshop), South Korea (at the legendary Faust), and China, with shows at Potent and Pillbox. Through both sound and presence, OCD continues to explore techno as a space for confrontation, catharsis, and emotional truth. Based in Berlin, Lily Ackerman is a DJ and producer whose sound bridges hypnotic and melodic techno with leftfield electronics through immersive, narrative-driven sets. Originally from a quiet farming town in Illinois, her journey into underground electronic music began after moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, where she co-founded the vinyl-focused Diacritic Collective and became a resident at the long-running As You Like It parties. Since relocating to Berlin in 2019, Lily’s selections have brought her to Germany’s respected institutions, including Berghain, Tresor, Renate, Else, Rote Sonne, elipamanoke, and objekt klein a. Alongside her work behind the decks, she has spent over a decade refining her production style, with releases on Mioli Music, Perfect Location Records, Vinyl Dreams Records, As You Like It Recordings, and Perimeter Junk. Her productions balance hypnotic groove with textured sound design, drawing equally from the dance floor and experimental electronic music. Beyond the club, Lily is an active part of Berlin’s wider music and arts community, with appearances on Refuge Worldwide, Berlin’s community-driven radio station and collaborations across contemporary art. For Berlin Art Week 2024, Lily collaborated with artist Sarah Ancelle Schönfeld on the sound for Labor Lab, Sarah’s experimental photo exhibition at the Schering Stiftung that explores the systems that shape and regulate female reproduction. Working together, they transformed just two field recordings from Sarah's pregnancy, her voice during labor and an ultrasound recording of the fetal heartbeat, into an evolving composition that gradually unfolds into a cathartic techno piece. For her Dirty Epic podcast, Lily presents an all-vinyl mix that unfolds with warmth and melody before gradually giving way to more driving, experimental territory. Patiently paced and carefully constructed, it traces a journey from introspection to intensity.
