Donna M. Kshir, the author of Fallen Star: Author, Activist, Murderer, shares when she met Star Myers. 'When I met Star Myers, she wasn’t a headline. 'She wasn’t the woman the public would eventually come to know through court records and news reports. 'She was a mother. 'A veteran. 'An author. 'A volunteer in her children’s school. 'Star was a child rights activist who dedicated years of her life to helping abused women and children.  'Star was compassionate, intelligent, funny, and generous. She had a beautiful smile and contagious laugh.  She touched countless lives and inspired many people—including me. 'When I learned she had been arrested in connection with the death of her husband, Richard Lee Bork, I felt disbelief unlike anything I had ever experienced. 'How could someone who spent years advocating for others become the person accused of taking a life? 'How does a marriage unravel so completely that it ends in violence? 'What happens between the person everyone admires and the person standing before a judge in a courtroom? 'Those questions refused to leave me. 'The headlines told people what happened, but they never explained how. 'As I searched for answers, I found myself looking far beyond one horrific night. I found a lifetime of trauma, addiction, deception, broken relationships, emotional manipulation, poor choices, and warning signs that were too impossible to ignore. Donna Kshir shares details of her upcoming release, FALLEN STAR: Author, Activist, Murderer. She tells about who Star Myers was, their friendship, her turbulent life of abuse, bad relationships, drugs, and alcohol, and the senseless killing of Star’s husband, Richard Lee Bork, which still has Donna and co-author Lee Cougardawn Roberts in disbelief. PA HB849 Session 2025-2026 is on its way to the House of Representatives, sponsored by PA State Representative Aaron Bernstine. Donna Kshir shares a few words on the journey and gives thanks to those who supported her along the way.

Would you support a law that forbids plea deals to child abusers, child killers or child rapists? We understand why plea deals are given. Even with strong evidence, a trial can be uncertain. A plea deal provides the prosecution with a "guaranteed" conviction but all too often child abusers, child killers and child rapists are getting a slap on the wrist. Our children deserve better. They deserve to be protected from these monsters. Child Rights Activist Donna Kshir is petitioning in Pennsylvania for and hopes to have a Zero Tolerance Law put into place to protect children. PA State Rep Aaron Bernstine thanks Donna Kshir, Lee Roberts and Laurie Ann Smith for the years they spent fighting to protect children. Rep. Bernstine shares the email he received from Donna in August 2024 presenting him with her idea of a public child abuse registry. Donna and best friend Lee Cougardawn Roberts spent 9 years petitioning for a public child abuse registry in Pennsylvania. The idea came to Donna as she was working on Conner's Law - Kentucky. Ronald Saunders ll tortured and killed 2 year old Conner Bachauss. He served 5.5 years in prison for Conner's death. A month after being released from prison Ronald would abuse yet another child. It was then Donna thought if there was a public database like Megan's Law but for violent offenders convicted of child abuse -- it could be used as a tool to prevent child abuse. One could look it up to see if someone had ever been convicted of a violent crime against a child before getting involved with them, inviting them into their home or getting into a relationship with them. That information could be used protect children and ultimately save lives. Donna, Rep. Bernstine created a bill known as PA HB 849 2025-2026 Regular Session.
