Winter McQuinn’s upcoming third record, ‘Where Are We Now?’ is a collaborative effort led by McQuinn. The album continues the introspective and environmentally conscious lyricism that McQuinn has become known for, where he digs a little deeper inwards and ponders our existence and what it means to live a fulfilling life on this earth. Pushing us to stop and think, to take a breath, to consider what we are doing and where our future is heading, to be mindful of who we are as individuals and as a collective. There’s a darkness within the songs but there’s always light too, with this record being focused around the idea of bringing like-minded people together, cherishing friendships and supporting musicians, to create something tangible and important, such as art. It’s through sharing ideas and creating together, that McQuinn and friends help weather the societal and digital shitstorm together. Get the record here. Keep up with the show here. On this transmission I get a call from the desert and it's Claire Morales. She spins wild worlds that are equal parts visual and sonic. Her latest work depicts a solo, female odyssey through sand, the narrative taking its form as both a full length album and a graphic novella. Inspired by true stories mixed with tall tales, Lost in the Desert depicts the lures and the lust, the beauty and the horror, the traps and the diversions one encounters on the path towards self actualization. Themes ripe for this podcast. So go on then get lost with us.  Keep Up with the show over on my instagram. Show support to keep the show running and shining that spotlight on the artist via PATREON. You get stickers and more depending on the tier!
