TGMS Ep: 285 One Question That Closes More Sales
2026/10/15
In this episode of The Greg McAfee Show, Greg reveals how one simple question can completely change the way you approach sales: “If we could... would you?” Great salespeople don't just talk their way into a sale. They ask the right questions, listen carefully, and uncover what the customer actually needs. Greg breaks down the power of the pause, why silence can be one of your strongest selling tools, and how letting customers speak can reveal what's really holding them back. From presenting good, better, and best options to building confidence and learning when to accept a “no,” Greg shares practical strategies to help you stop guessing and start closing more sales. This episode challenges salespeople and business owners to rethink their approach, set clear goals, and understand that asking questions is selling. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do after asking the right question is simply be quiet. Ask the question. Listen to the answer. Let the customer tell you what they need. 💼🎯🔥 00:00:00 Intro 00:03:46 One Question That Closes More Sales 00:05:20 If We Could... TGMS Ep: 284 $274 Was My Starting Point. Not My Limitation
2026/10/08
In this episode of The Greg McAfee Show, Greg looks back at where his journey began—with just $274—and shares why your starting point never has to determine where you finish. Building something great takes more than money. It takes vision, discipline, the right people, and a willingness to keep going. Greg breaks down the principles that helped shape McAfee: building a strong culture, deciding what you want to be known for, hiring slowly, leading intentionally, and giving great people a reason to stay. He also explains why excellence has to become part of your reputation and why sometimes success simply comes down to being willing to outlast everyone else. Reflecting on lessons from Ron Smith and decades of building a business, Greg challenges you to stop allowing your current circumstances to define what's possible for your future. Your starting point is not your limitation. The bigger question is: What will you build—and what legacy will you leave behind? 💪🔥💼 00:00:00 Intro 00:01:15 McAfee 00:05:11 $274 Was My Starting Point. TGMS Ep 283 Your Business is Making You Rich - But is it Making You Free?
2026/10/01
In this episode of The Greg McAfee Show, Greg asks every business owner an important question: Is your business actually giving you freedom—or has it become completely dependent on you? Greg breaks down why so many owners struggle to step away. They don’t trust anyone else to do things right, they’ve become the chief problem solver, and they haven’t developed people who can lead without them. Sometimes, being needed can even start to feel like being successful—but the two aren’t the same. From developing strong leaders and learning to let go to building financial strength, Greg shares what it takes to create a business that can thrive without your constant involvement. He also reflects on lessons from John D. Rockefeller and the reality that your life is a vapor—making how you spend your time incredibly important. The big question: If you disappeared from your business tomorrow, what would happen? Build something that gives you the freedom to live, lead, and focus on what matters most. 💼🙏🔥 00:00:00 Intro 00:03:35 Is Your Business Making You Free? 00:04:16 You Don't Trust Anyone Else To Do It Right 00:05:53 You Are The Chief Problem Solver' 00:06:44 They Never Built The People Who Could Replace You 00:07:22 You're Afraid To Let Go 00:09:25 You Confuse Being Needed With Being Successful 00:11:41 So How Do You Become Free? 00:18:30 Build Financial Strength 00:24:49 The Big Idea 00:31:38 If You disappeared from your business, what would happen? 00:33:59 Your Life Is A Vapor 00:34:26 McAfee Heating and Air 00:39:15 John D. TGMS Ep: 282 Nobody Tells You This!
2026/09/24
In this episode of The Greg McAfee Show, Greg talks about something nobody tells you when you're building a business, pursuing a goal, or stepping into something new: sometimes it’s supposed to be hard. Difficulty doesn’t automatically mean you're on the wrong path. Drawing from lessons from Larry Burkett, the Marines, and the journey of Elon Musk, Greg explains why every worthwhile pursuit comes with a learning curve. Different challenges have different timelines, but if you stay in the fight long enough, things that once felt impossible eventually become easier. Greg also shares an important shift in perspective: the goal isn't simply for things to get easier—the goal is for you to become more capable. Rooted in Galatians 6:9, this episode is a reminder to give yourself time, keep learning, and recognize that you may be closer to a breakthrough than you realize. Hard doesn't mean wrong. Give yourself time—and don't quit during the hard part. 💪🙏🔥 00:00:00 Intro00:01:12 Nobody Tells You This00:03:06 Larry Burkett00:05:16 Hard Does Not Mean It's Wrong00:07:51 Things Start Getting Easier00:10:58 Different Getting Easier Timelines00:15:46 You Have To Survive The Learning Curve00:22:02 Sometimes You're Closer Than You Think00:23:59 The Real Goal Is Becoming Capable00:24:48 Give Yourself Time00:26:35 Don't Quit During The Hard Part00:26:42 Challenge!00:27:50 Marines00:29:44 Galatians 6:900:31:13 Elon Musk00:33:29 Outro
TGMS Ep 281 Your Mind is Making You Miserable
2026/09/17
In this episode of The Greg McAfee Show, Greg tackles something that can quietly damage both your life and your business: negativity. Your mindset doesn’t stay contained in your head—your team feels it, your customers experience it, and eventually, it can become part of your company culture. Greg explains how negativity can hurt customer service, cloud decision-making, and shape the attitude of an entire organization. He also challenges business owners to stop confusing negativity with “being realistic.” Problems are real, but as a leader, your job is to face them with the right mindset and find solutions. Through faith, prayer, and intentional thinking, Greg challenges you to recognize when your own mind is working against you and make a change. Get out of the miserable club. Your team needs you. Your customers need you. And they need you focused on solving problems—not creating more of them. 🙏🔥💼 0:00 Intro 00:01:25 Your Mind Is Making You Miserable 00:02:03 Your Team Feels You 00:03:42 Negativity Kills Customer Service 00:05:07 Negativity Makes You A Bad Decision Maker 00:06:59 Negativity Becomes Your Company Culture 00:07:23 Your Company Becomes A Reflection Of You 00:08:43 Stop Confusing Realism With Negativity 00:09:52 Challenge! 00:11:55 The Business Owner's Wake Up Call 00:12:22 They Need You To Solve Their Problem 00:14:12 Get Out Of The Miserable Club 00:15:12 Praying To God 00:18:11 Outro
TGMS Ep: 280 Goal Hierarchy
2026/09/10
In this episode of The Greg McAfee Show, Greg breaks down what it means to have laser-light focus and why deciding what matters most is essential to success. When everything feels important, it’s easy to spread your attention too thin. A clear hierarchy helps you put your time, energy, and effort where they belong. Greg walks through four important “ladders” in life—your family, your business, your physical condition, and your health—and explains why each ladder needs intentional rungs to keep you moving forward. Drawing from Matthew 6:21, Colossians 3:23, 1 Corinthians 6:19, and Matthew 6:33, he connects focus and discipline with keeping God and your priorities in the right order. This episode challenges you to look at where your time is actually going, establish your hierarchy, and make sure you're climbing the ladders that truly matter. You can’t give everything your focus. Decide what matters most—and give it your best. 🎯🙏💼 00:00:00 Intro 00:00:19 Laser Light Focus 00:00:57 Hierarchy Is Deciding What Matters Most 00:04:06 Goal Hierarchy 00:06:36 Matthew 6:21 00:07:31 Ladder #1: Your Family 00:12:01 Ladder #2: Your Business 00:13:05 Colossians 3:23 00:14:36 Ladder #3: Your Physical Condition 00:16:13 1 Corinthians 6:19 00:17:23 Ladder #4: Your Health 00:18:44 A Ladder Needs Rungs 00:20:18 McAfee 00:24:35 I Couldn't Have Done It Without Them 00:25:41 Matthew 6:33 00:27:54 Challenge 00:34:30 Outro
TGMS Ep: 279 Your Business Isn't Stuck. You Are.
2026/09/03
In this episode of The Greg McAfee Show, Greg takes a hard look at the old habits and routines that can quietly hold a business back. Just because something has always been done a certain way doesn’t mean it’s still the most effective way. From setting clear expectations and building repeatable training systems to improving processes, marketing, and the owner’s leadership, Greg explains how businesses can break out of old grooves and create better ones. Real change starts when leaders are willing to examine what isn’t working and replace familiar habits with intentional systems. Drawing from Romans 12:2, Greg challenges business owners to stop accepting “that’s just how we do it” and start building new patterns that move the company forward. Identify it. Break it. Replace it. Peace isn’t the absence of problems—it’s the ability to stay grounded in the middle of them. In this episode, Greg McAfee talks about why peace is one of the most overlooked advantages in leadership. When you stop trying to control everything, comparing yourself to others, and carrying problems that were never yours to carry, you can think clearer, lead better, and protect what matters most. 2026/08/20
In this episode of The Greg McAfee Show, Greg dives into one of the most important traits behind long-term business success: grit. Talent and opportunity can only take you so far—it’s the ability to keep going when things get difficult that separates those who succeed from those who quit. Drawing on the work of Angela Duckworth, Greg explores whether grit is something you’re born with or something you can develop. He shares practical ways to strengthen it through doing hard things, building discipline, finishing what you start, and learning to embrace delayed gratification. Rooted in Romans 5:3–4 and Galatians 6:9, this episode is also a reminder to never lose sight of your “why.” Million-dollar businesses aren’t built overnight—they’re built by people willing to stay disciplined, persevere, and keep going when others stop. 💪🔥💼 00:00:00 Intro 00:00:56 McAfee 00:02:20 The Hidden Trait Behind Million Dollar Businesses 00:03:33 Grit 00:03:41 Angela Duckworth 00:07:06 Are You Born With Grit? 00:08:31 Why Grit Matters 00:11:09 Do Hard Things Every Day 00:12:41 Discipline 00:13:31 Finish What You Started 00:15:49 Learn To Love Delayed Gratification 00:17:11 Remember Your Why 00:17:57 Romans 5:3-4 00:22:35 Challenge 00:23:26 Galatians 6:9 00:24:45 Outro

2026/08/13
Are You Straining Gnats to Swallow a Camel? In this episode of The Greg McAfee Show, Greg challenges business owners to stop spending massive amounts of time and energy on problems that barely move the needle. Sometimes we’re so focused on the $10 problem that we completely miss the much bigger issue standing right in front of us. He also explores the 80/20 leadership principle, customer distractions, and the uncomfortable reality that sometimes the owner is the camel. Drawing from Matthew 23:23, Greg challenges you to identify what you’ve been avoiding and deal with it before a small gnat becomes a much bigger problem. TGMS Ep: 273 Lust Is A Distraction For The Mediocre
2026/07/23
In this bold episode of The Greg McAfee Show, Greg explores how distractions—not just lust, but the constant pursuit of comfort, pleasure, and instant gratification—can quietly derail your purpose. Businesses, relationships, and legacies aren’t built by accident; they’re built through focus, discipline, and intentional living. Greg discusses how dopamine-driven habits can replace discipline, why great leaders say "no" far more than they say "yes," and how even today's trends, including cryptocurrency, can become distractions when they pull you away from your calling. He also reflects on insights from George Bernard Shaw while emphasizing that the enemy knows your assignment and will use distractions to keep you from fulfilling it. This episode challenges you to ask the hard questions: What is stealing your passion? What is pulling you away from your relationship with God? And when your life is over, how will you answer the question, "What did you do with what I entrusted to you?" If you're ready to eliminate distractions, strengthen your faith, and focus on what truly matters, this episode will challenge you to live with purpose. 🔥🙏 00:00:00 Intro 00:01:51 Businesses Aren't Built Accidentally 00:02:50 Everything Valuable Demands Focus 00:03:36 Lust Is A Distraction For The Mediocre 00:06:21 Dopamine Is Replacing Discipline 00:07:05 Cryptocurrency 00:09:12 George Bernard 00:10:17 Comfort Is A Silent Addiction 00:12:18 Great Leaders Say No More Than They Say Yes 00:14:27 The Enemy Knows Your Assignment 00:16:19 What High Performers Understand 00:19:16 What Steals Your Passion 00:20:30 What Steals Your Relationship With God? 00:22:41 What Did You Do With What I Entrusted With You? 00:25:45 Outro
