Julie Falk Ph.D. holds a doctorate in humanistic psychology and was a registered nurse for 30+ years.  In addition to graduate certification in coaching from Saybrook University, she holds a Masters degree in health education and promotion.  She is certified to teach MBSR through The Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Healthcare and Society at University of Massachusetts, and is certified to teach Focusing by the International Focusing Institute.  She is a Certified Yoga Teacher at the 500 hour level with a specialty in therapeutic yoga.  Dr. Falk helps us understand what Mindfulness is and how it can enhance our lives.

Healthy Adams County is a collaborative partnership of community members dedicated to continuing assessment, development, and promotion of efforts toward improving physical, mental, and social well-being. Kathy tells us how Healthy Adams County seeks to create a higher quality of life throughout our community by improving physical, mental, and social well-being.

Samiaha describes how prevention planners will be pressed into action to put in place solutions to urgent substance misuse problems facing their Adams County communities. She discusses a comprehensive, community-wide approach to understanding and addressing substance abuse and related behavioral health problems formulating effective plans to address the issues.

After 21 years of law enforcement experience, Officer Keefer sheds light on the world of a School Resource Officer. Six years into his assignment as School Resource Officer, we hear about the daily routine, experiences with kids, and thoughts about various issues and the importance of fostering caring relationships with kids.

Serving the community as a Health Educator for Wellspan Health, Yeimi Gagliardi shares personal experiences and important perspectives on the value of collaborative partnerships. She discusses why it is critical to focus on the “whole” person when supporting members of the community and how technology  can bring her clients and health care together. She serves as the chairperson of the Latino Services Task Force and the Tobacco Prevention Task Force of Healthy Adams County. She is an integral member of other community-based organizations developing initiatives to reach the underserved in Adams County.
