As the Carneddau Landscape Partnership draws to a close, this episode reflects on the people, places and moments that have shaped the project over the years. Community Engagement Officers Tara and Sophie look back on what they’ve enjoyed most about working across the Carneddau from building meaningful relationships with local communities and volunteers, to helping people reconnect with the landscape, its heritage and its wildlife. They share personal highlights, memorable moments from events and projects, and what it’s been like to be part of a partnership rooted so deeply in place. This conversation is both a celebration and a farewell, capturing the spirit of collaboration, learning and connection that has defined the Carneddau Landscape Partnership, and reflecting on the lasting impact the project will leave for the area and the people who care for it. Yn y bennod hon, rydym yn trafod sut mae cyfryngau cymdeithasol yn dylanwadu ar dwristiaeth yn Eryri — y da a’r drwg. A workshop was held in partnership with the Comisiynydd y Gymraeg and the National Library of Wales for our Wardens at Plas Tan y Bwlch to record and celebrate place names in Eryri. Wherever we go in the world, place names reflect the character of communities and give meaning to the land and its features. They remind us of our place in the world – both geographically and culturally – and in Eryri, they are part of what makes the National Park so special.
