Raceshifters, Pretendians, Cultural Genocide and Slavery
2022/06/27
Get ready for your favourite weekly podcast "The Reality of Turtle Island" with your Hosts @andrewbrant87 @cottreezy and @nick_lamarsh brought to you by @tworowcoffeeco Every Monday at 7:00amET on YouTube and your favorite podcast platforms. This week we get into another discussion about what constitutes a win for white people after hundreds of years of genocide and oppression. While going back and forth giving historical examples, a good reference was brought up about slavery in Canada which can be found in "It Was Dark There All The Time: Sophia Burthen and the Legacy of Slavery in Canada" by Andrew Hunter. Our episode opens with an introduction, along with the significance of why we introduce ourselves or ask who a person's family is; it's cultural, a tradition that has sustained through generations withstanding attempted genocide and assimilation. It isn't out of malice that we ask, watch the show to find out more. The Canadian celebrations are going to begin soon, with people sending fireworks into the air not realizing or ever caring what that day truly means. The Canadian flag is red, because they celebrate the blood of our ancestors that they painted the earth with.
The Mush Hole and Emancipation
2022/06/20
We recorded this episode on Juneteenth, so get ready for a little background on why that day is celebrated. Also, with all of us having visited The Mohawk Institute and Cottreezy's experience visiting WWII concentration camps in Germany and Slave Camps in the USA you're in for an extremely informative return episode.   RTWL is presented by Two Row Coffee Co. Produced by CME Indigenous Media. All proceeds of coffee and merchandise go into the Kenhte:ke Kanyen'keha:ka Food Sovereignty Project.  https://www.thecrediblemohawk.com/shop
Freedom of Hate Speech
2022/05/02
In this episode we deal with some homophobic and racist behaviour from Milestone Bath Experts in Belleville, Ontario. They refused to address their behaviour for over a month, resulting in us calling out this behaviour. The CEO and Founder, Jeff Whitley has yet to comment, and the HR representatives are pushing this issue to the side. We also have to address some things about the Klan movement they're calling "Freedom", as well as the distinct difference in how police handle situations with certain people.
Dismantling the Systems of Oppression
2022/04/25
Some things need to be left to the BIPOC community to be called out, this happens to be one of those episodes where feelings of the front lines get agitated by those who pick and choose when to take action. From the Black Canadian community who stay silent when there are atrocities happening still, to the Indigenous community who are stuck in a pit and have a crabs in the bucket mentality; telling people to do something, then telling them it can't be left to one person while not volunteering themselves is hypocritical.   Today, we're here to tell you to bring em out. The signs, the shovels, the seeds, the songs, everything that our Indigenous and Black ancestors fought for we need to fight to keep. The murder won't stop, the government won't ensure there is food on your tables. The only one who can bring down the establishment and dismantle the systems of oppression is us as a collective.   Support each other, rise up.

Gerald Moore Jr. GEO, and Athletes in Cannabis
2022/03/07
This week we speak with Gerald Moore Jr., Owner of Athletes in Cannabis Co. & president of the Green Environmental Outreach program. Former Ohio University Alumni in Athens Ohio; free safety, Gerald is making waves and breaking the stigma in the Midwest through his platforms; standing up for racial inequality in all levels. We will also be speaking about the racial injustice that persists even throughout a country in the midst of war, and the western urge to romanticize tragedy in a stereotypical fashion rather than record truth and see atrocities for what they really are.
Black History and White on White Crime
2022/03/07
Dr. Charles Richard Drew was an African American physician who developed ways to process and store blood plasma in "blood banks." He directed the blood plasma programs of the United States and Great Britain in World War II, but resigned after a ruling that the blood of African Americans would be segregated. He died on April 1, 1950. Join us for a coffee and conversation about continued colonizer hypocrisy, what a real freedom convoy looks like, and more.
Gasoline Children and the Emergencies Act
2022/03/07
As the "Freedom Convoy" slowly gets shut down, we discuss the difference between a protest and insurrection, and the reasons why the Emergency Act was put in place. The Flu Trucks Klan haven't even got a clue what they're fighting against, or who they need to fight to get it. The privilege that they have had living in a bubble has severely impacted the grasps of reality for Klan members and supporters, as they have completely forgotten that Canada and the United States are run on two different types of governance models (ie: Canadians do not have a first amendment right, but do have a right to protest; somewhat though as Stephen Harper passed a bill making it illegal to take action or speak against the government).
A Convoy of Idiots

Freedom of Oppression
2022/01/28
This isn't an anti-convoy episode, this isn't a pro-convoy episode, it's an episode that asks a serious question. Tune in for a conversation where we discuss the "Freedom" Convoy from three different cultural viewpoints.   Donate to the project at https://www.thecrediblemohawk.com/thecommunity Follow us on Instagram @TheCredibleMohawk @AndrewBrant87 @Cottreezy @Nick_LaMarsh
Death in the Streets
2022/01/28
In this episode we discuss Cannabis use and mental health, the militarization of police in Toronto and across Turtle Island, the involvement of off-duty officers in executions of Black Men, and so much more. After a week off we're back with our regular programming.  We also discuss the food sovereignty project and how it can be replicated in many other communities, giving people back their sense of freedom while destroying the colonial construct. If you can donate to legal funds then donate to the food funds as well, because what good is being on the front line if the health of the defenders is low.  We're bringing in the hashtag #FoodBack for this project, and will have some tshirts as well.
