**✨ Million Years from Home ✨** The stars shimmer like echoes of a forgotten time. The moon, a lone guardian, casts silver shadows over an endless soundscape. Here, beyond the boundaries of space and time, where melodies fuse with the universe, the journey begins. Each beat is a step into the unknown. Each synth, a wave of energy piercing the darkness. We dance beneath a sky that has waited for us for millions of years—a cosmic ritual, a reminder that music is the bridge between worlds. Welcome… **Million Years from Home.** ✨

"Melodic techno" technically falls under the category of **techno**, but it often borrows elements from **progressive house**, such as a focus on harmonious melodies, atmospheric layers, and emotional build-ups. ### **Melodic Techno:** - **Category:** Techno (subgenre) - **Characteristics:** Minimalistic, deep basslines, hypnotic and often melancholic melodies, mid-tempo (120-130 BPM). - **Artists:** Tale of Us, Stephan Bodzin, ARTBAT. - **Audience:** Focused on a more introspective and sometimes underground experience. ### **Progressive House:** - **Category:** House (subgenre) - **Characteristics:** Melodic, uplifting, longer builds and drops, more focus on groove and energy, often slightly faster (123-128 BPM). - **Artists:** Eric Prydz, Sasha, Hernán Cattáneo. - **Audience:** Targeted at large-scale festivals and a broad dance audience. **Overlap:** Both styles share an emotional and melodic core. As a result, melodic techno often resonates well with progressive house fans but remains closer to techno in terms of production and rhythmic structure. As a DJ, you can seamlessly combine both genres, especially during a set's build-up or emotionally charged moments.
