Hi, hello, and welcome back to HTBH! I wanted to do a special episode celebrating Lesbian Visibility Week. In this episode, I reflect on the last few years of being out as a lesbian. I also discuss topics like misogyny, self-love, navigating your identity in vs. out of a relationship, and more. I also share some of my favorite lesbian and queer media I've consumed over the last year. Happy Lesbian Visibility week to all of the lesbians in my life and to those who have paved the way for me. I love you.

For this season finale, we're getting spooky. In this episode, I'll be discussing media that truly frightened me–not just jump scares. I'll be talking about media like Skinamarink (2022), Ethel Cain’s Perverts, Junji Ito’s Manga, and more. I'll also be discussing the ways that media creates a scary atmosphere. What makes something scary? If you like horror movies and are fascinated by how they create fear, this episode is for you. On this episode, I am diving into the reasons I decided to delete the app on everybody's mind: TikTok. While my account is still up (as a personal digital archive of my 20s), I decided to remove myself from participating and viewing any more content. From the overload of ads to algorithms, I go on a deep dive into how TikTok's content has changed for me and others. Since the personal is political, I also discuss the U.S. government's attempts to censor TikTok, limit free speech, and how censorship can be a slippery slope. Whether you're on the fence about deleting the app or maybe you want to hear about the changes in TikTok since its creation, tune in for a one-on-one with me.
