Our Co-Hosts Wai Yan and Pascal shed some light on their personal journey that has led to their involvement in the Crypto and Defi ecosystem. He has also co-founded and scaled a crypto project on Avalanche blockchain and successfully launched a token in an IDO. As ecosystem development lead he is also involved in exchange listings and staking opportunities. In this episode we talk to Gregor Arn, an evangelist for inclusive financial services and passionate FinTech entrepreneur since 2014 with a focus on emerging markets. Gregor launched the first social payments app in the Philippines prior to starting Wallet Engine, a Singapore-based wallet-as-a-service provider that powers embedded finance in cross-border apps. His passion is mobile money and how it can be used to improve people's life. He focuses on financial technology and regulation to make borderless payments between people (P2P) and between devices (IOT) instant and seamless. In this episode we sit down with Dr. Oriol Caudevilla on Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs). Oriol is a true expert when it comes to FinTech. Currently he works as a Management Consultant at AirHelp while holding several advisory roles at Fintech/Wealth/Blockchain Tech companies such as ixFinTech Advisor (Hong Kong), ETFCool, Alpha Bright Asset Management, ScallopX and the Israel Blockchain Association. He is also currently a mentor for several different Accelerator programs and FinTech Start Ups across Asia. Oriol is Fellow at the Digital Euro Association (D€A) and at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), as well as Honorary Fellow at the Asian Institute of International Financial Law -AIIFL- at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). Furthermore, he publishes articles in several media, including China Daily (both the Global and Hong Kong Edition) and Macau Business. In this episode, Kembla unfolds how one of its hosts, Pascal has found his passion for FinTech and what his dreams and aspiration are. Pascal grew up in the "green heart of Germany" and left his first job at a corporate at age 18 to pursue higher education and see the world inspired by an entrepreneur and his former sensei. Before starting university he moved to New Zealand - worked as truck driver, kiwifruit picker, door to door sales man for oil paintings and started finding true-peace and joy in mountains especially reaching the summit. When he was 20 years old, he started university in Germany. During this time he struggled to find the subject he was really passionate about which had led to the decision to try out as much as possible and read every book he could get his hands on. By trying everything, he was certainly not exaggerating. Completely unprepared, he went for several adventures conquering mountains in Nepal, challenging harsh weather in Norway while cycling for two months to the north without any preparation, rather only with a goal in mind to reach the arctic circle. He has worked for a german corporate in Tokyo, organized several events at university and tried himself as a freelance data analyst.  At age 23 he moved to Seoul for his last semester where he also joined Wallet Engine, a Singapore based FinTech aiming to reduce complexities for small value cross border payments. In this episode, Kembla unfolds how its very own podcast host, Wai Yan aka The Man with a Luggage, has led his entrepreneurial journey this far. As the title says, he lives with just a luggage - calling the world his home. Having grown up in a poor family in Burma, he learned the meaning of financial freedom the hard way. When it comes to education, he has a very different perspective on the concept. Wai Yan dropped out of two universities from two different countries, and joined an EdTech startup in Burma which was incubated in Silicon Valley, when he was 18. Meantime, he lived across Southeast Asia and worked as a digital nomad. At the age of 19, he became the General Manager of Draper Startup House in Yangon - a global network of physical locations for entrepreneurs to work, visit, live and connect with an added layer of entrepreneurial education and access to venture capital. He then moved to Malaysia to cofound a smart vending machine company, namely, Vechnology a month after his 21st birthday. Given all these unconventional experiences, he is also an incoming Masters in FinTech student at Manchester Metropolitan University.  Wondering how Wai Yan has become who he is today?
