I dunno about you but my dream life as a teenager would have been Sabrina Spellman's- point your finger at something and it has your wardrobe, or gets rid of someone or whatever you need.. and then she had the great friends and cute boyfriend. Well I am living out a dream here as I got to speak to 2 stars of the show- Nate who played Harvey and Curtis who played Gordy. Hear what it was like to be a teen star in Hollywood, and how hard it is when that ends to try and get work. The boys share behind the scenes stories and why to make money these days you need to be doing a lot more than acting. And we talk 30 years of Sabrina, and how the fans have reacted! If you are listening on Spotify, please leave a comment below with your fave Sabrina memory or fave moment from this chat! Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/tis-yourself. Hosted on Acast. Never thought I'd get the chance to talk to a snooker legend like Ken, especially considering I can only pot the white when I am on the table! Got the chance to chat childhood, sport, retiring and more with the Dubliner in this chat. Ken talked about the sport that hooked him in as a kid and why he quit football for the pool table. He told me about the hard times leaving Dublin for London, and what it felt like to fail at his first big test. He talked about the £2 cue that brought him fame and fortune and how he is missing a trophy all these years later. But he told me of his proudest moment, in 1997, coming home to a hero's welcome and handing the winning trophy to his mam. AND I have a giveaway! If you want to go and see Ken live, email [email protected] or contact me on Instagram. All thanks to Vivatbet for the exclusive tickets!! Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/tis-yourself. From boyband star to braving it on his own, I caught up with streaming success Ryan Mack. When I first met him, he was one of a six-piece band, put together by Louis Walsh to be the next One Direction or Westlife. He explains what happened behind the scenes, why they decided to call it a day, and how he hid behind furniture when it all ended. He is open and honest about the music industry, the finances that go with it and why each person needs to look at their own life to see if it's for them. We also talk about audiences, and stars playing the right venues, and so much more. Many of you might remember Kaila from her stint in Season 7 of Love Island, when she was in Casa Amor. But after she was announced, she was barely seen on screens, so I got to chat to her about what that was like, what it felt like in the villa and how that even came about. We also discussed her DJ life, after she opened for Ne-Yo and Akon on their most recent tour, why being patient for the thing you want is worth it and why she is putting down solo roots this year. We also learn how she went from Malahide to the MGM- have a listen! Please like, review and comment, and make sure you are subscribed! 2010 was a huge year for music, and a lot of it came from the X Factor. Matt Cardle, Mary Byrne, One Direction of course.. and today's guest, Aiden Grimshaw. A fan favourite, his versions of Gold Digger, Mad World and more made him a household name. He released an album after leaving the show and then tells me why he slipped into the background, happier to be away from the scene. But now he is back, reclaiming his name, releasing his new single Talk (click HERE to hear it) We talk about why the show was like uni to him, why he has blocked a lot of it out, and what it is like to disappear when everyone knows your name. Loved having Aiden on. Hope you enjoy! If you are listening on Spotify, leave us a comment below! Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/tis-yourself. Hosted on Acast. In this week's episode, we are off to the cobbles and the Rovers to chat to now former Corrie star Channique. She left the UK soap after playing Dee Dee for three years and is now threading the boards in a new play across the UK. I speak to her about unconventional path to success, working in the worst job during the pandemic, and why her mum thinks her career has peaked! Strap in for this one! My gorgeous guest today is the lovely James Sutton, known by many as John Paul McQueen from Hollyoaks, or Ryan Lamb in Emmerdale. But now he steps into a new role, away from acting and more into delving deep rather than playing other people. He wants to help men become happy and look inside and out. And at 43, and having done the work, James is feeling better than ever. We also discuss his role in Hollyoaks, the storyline that was the hardest but he is most proud of, changing UK law and why he's closed the door on John Paul and acting now- unless Peaky Blinders comes calling!! Such a wide ranging and thought-provoking chat, I hope you enjoy! If you do, please leave us a comment or review- it means so much! Thank you! Oh boy do I have a show for you! What really happened behind the scenes of America's Next Top Model? In this explosive episode, I meet Cycle 8 breakout star Corinne (formerly Britney Hatch) to pull back the curtain on the modeling industry's most controversial show. From predatory contracts to psychological warfare, Corinne shares her raw, unfiltered experience of what went down when the cameras stopped rolling. You'll hear all about: How ANTM casting producers weaponized intense mental health evaluations to deliberately manipulate vulnerable girls into toxic reality TV tropes. The shocking financial reality of surviving on a tiny amount of money that contestants had to hand right back to production just to buy groceries. How editors spliced together mismatched audio, old clips, and fake room tones to manufacture drama and script total lies. The strict non-disclosure rules legally forbidding contestants from ever speaking to models from other cycles to keep systemic abuse hidden. For more info: Follow the Podcast on Instagram: instagram.com/tisyourselfpodcastSupport our sponsor, Sisterhood Journals, on Instagram: @sisterhoodjournals This is part one of a 2 part interview, please subscribe so you don't miss next week's episode!
