Write or Die Show - Sebastien de Castell - ADHD at 53 - What Late Diagnosis Really Changes
2026/08/16
About Sebastien de Castell had just finished a degree in Archaeology when he started work on his first dig. Four hours later he realised how much he actually hated archaeology and left to pursue a very focused career as a musician, ombudsman, interaction designer, fight choreographer, teacher, project manager, actor and product strategist. His only defence against the charge of unbridled dilettantism is that he genuinely likes doing these things and that, in one way or another, each of these fields plays a role in his writing. He sternly resists the accusation of being a Renaissance Man in the hopes that more people will label him that way. Sebastien lives in Vancouver, Canada with his lovely wife and two belligerent cats. Write or Die Show - Margaret Bryden - Why Bad Poetry Can Help You Process Trauma and Find Your Voice
2026/08/15
About Margaret Bryden is a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, author, and the founder of Sage Insight Therapy, a private therapy practice based in Salt Lake City, UT, USA. Margaret's work is centered on one core belief: meaningful mental health care should be accessible, and that means using all of the best tools for mental health at our disposal, including poetry. A central part of Margaret's approach is the integration of poetry into the therapeutic process. Poetry, in this context, is not about being an award winning writer. It is a tool for expression. It allows people to engage with their thoughts and emotions in a way that is less structured, less filtered, and more aligned with how we actually experience life. Human experience is rarely linear. It is often fragmented, contradictory, and difficult to put into clear, logical language. Poetry creates space for that complexity.
