AS YOU WISH NAILS 💅Where Every Visit Has a Little Personality
2026/09/15
Located at 905 Cloquet Avenue in downtown Cloquet, As You Wish Nails is a creative, welcoming salon built around personalized service, artistic expression and helping every client leave feeling a little more confident.
Owner Krissa, the talented artist behind Nails by Krissa, named her storefront after her love for the classic movie The Princess Bride. That inspiration can be seen throughout the salon. From memorable quotes and themed coffee mugs to the playful personality woven into the space.
Krissa is originally from Poplar, Wisconsin, and brings eight years of nail experience to her business. She has worked in several different salons throughout her career, building her skills and gaining the experience needed to create a storefront of her own.
Today, she offers clients a comfortable, appointment-based environment where they can relax, enjoy one-on-one service and choose from a wide variety of nail options.
Her services include:
✨ Gel polish
✨ Full sets and fills
✨ Gel-X nail extensions
✨ Custom nail designs
✨ Pedicures
✨ Traditional gel polish
✨ Hypoallergenic polish options
One of the salon’s standout services is Gel-X, an option that is still difficult to find throughout the region. Krissa also carries an impressive selection of hypoallergenic gel polish colors, creating opportunities for clients who may have previously experienced sensitivities or believed they could no longer enjoy having their nails done.
The color selection alone is worth seeing. Instead of offering only a handful of choices, Krissa has pages of shades available, allowing clients to find something that truly reflects their personality and style.
As You Wish Nails is also growing beyond nails.
The business is expanding its offerings to include:
✨ Permanent jewelry
✨ Teeth whitening
Permanent jewelry can be customized as a bracelet, anklet or necklace, giving clients a unique piece designed to stay with them without the need for a traditional clasp. The salon also plans to participate in local pop-up events and collaborations with other area businesses.
Krissa has created a space filled with personality, creativity and plenty of fun details, including her love for The Princess Bride and an unexpectedly impressive collection of balloon-dog décor.
She has also built a strong collaborative relationship with Brook next door, creating a shared and welcoming lobby experience for clients visiting either business.
As You Wish Nails operates by appointment Monday through Thursday, with expanded weekday hours expected during the winter months.
What makes As You Wish Nails a true Hidden Gem is not simply the wide range of services. It is Krissa’s experience, enthusiasm and willingness to create options for each individual client. Behind the nail table is an experienced business owner with plenty of energy, creativity and big plans for the future.
The next time you are exploring downtown Cloquet, stop in, meet Krissa and discover everything happening inside As You Wish Nails.
