Ali Christos is  Speaker, Author, Meditation Teacher, Quantum Hypnosis Practitioner, and Founder of the Conscious Practitioner Network (CPN), a global movement dedicated to empowering 10,000 conscious practitioners to positively impact 10 million lives. And I like that idea. And…I have always been curious about hypnosis…. So our chosen topic to pick Ali’s brains is: Why Smart Women Stay Stuck: How the Subconscious Mind Shapes the Life You Create After 50. Quantum Hypnosis anyone? Time to move forward, right?? BIO Ali Christos is a Speaker, Author, Meditation Teacher, Quantum Hypnosis Practitioner, and Founder of the Conscious Practitioner Network (CPN), a global movement dedicated to empowering 10,000 conscious practitioners to positively impact 10 million lives. After more than 15 years in business and real estate, several near-death experiences, a difficult divorce, and years of Vipassana meditation led him onto a very different path, Ali now helps people explore the subconscious mind to uncover clarity, emotional healing, and a deeper sense of purpose. Through Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT) and Beyond Quantum Healing (BQH), Ali has guided clients from around the world through profound experiences of self-discovery. FABULOUS AFTER FIFTY! EPISODE 201 – Pam Shemran – Why Lifting Weights Could Be the Most Important Thing You Do After 50
2026/10/16
Today’s guest, Pam Shemran, has been in the health and wellness space for 28 years — and she is not here to sell you a quick fix, a detox, or the latest trend. She is here to talk about something far more powerful and far more permanent. We are talking about strength training — why lifting weights after 50 is not optional, not intimidating, and not just for athletes. We are talking about what happens to our muscle, our metabolism, our bones, and our mood when we finally pick up that weight — and what it costs us when we don’t. BIO Pam has been in the health/wellness space for 29 years as an instructor, coach, trainer and speaker. She’s passionate about helping women feel great in their own skin and help them navigate nutrition and exercise. Her tagline is your health is your greatest wealth! FABULOUS AFTER FIFTY! EPISODE 200 – Zolal Habibi – Iran’s Uprising: Women, Resistance, and the Fight for a Free Future
2026/10/08
Welcome back. Something different for us today. A remarkable woman came on my path, Zolal Habibi, an Iranian human rights activist and a prominent voice for justice, democracy, and women’s rights in Iran. We are talking today about the role of women in the protests and the fight for freedom, and  stories of courage, resilience, and empowerment. Zolal invites us to see  how women are leading change in challenging circumstances and offers insights into supporting gender equality and human rights both in Iran and globally. BIO Zolal Habibi is an Iranian human rights activist and a prominent voice for justice, democracy, and women’s rights in Iran. She serves on the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), where she advocates globally for a secular, democratic republic in Iran. With over two decades of dedicated activism, she has become a fierce advocate on behalf of the voiceless inside Iran, regularly appearing in international forums, human rights conferences, and live broadcasts across major media platforms. Zolal’s activism began in her teens, profoundly shaped by the loss of her father—a respected Iranian writer and political dissident—who was killed by the regime during the 1988 massacre. This personal tragedy ignited a lifelong commitment to ensuring that no other family suffers such loss, and that the voices of Iran’s political prisoners, dissidents, and freedom-seekers are heard on the world stage. 2026/10/02
Self-ageism – How the Way we Think Affects the Way we Age. I am such a believer in this! To be honest at 59 I am still wondering what I want to do next so when author Jo Blackwell of “Ageing Wonderfully Well: The Good News about Midlife and Growing Older wrote to me: I have no truck with anti-ageing. I see no reason to hide or apologise for my wrinkles or my greying hair. My mission remains to challenge the outdated narratives around ageing – one story, and one woman, at a time. FABULOUS AFTER FIFTY! EPISODE 194 – Kate Kayaian – Trading Applause for Purpose
2026/08/28
Today we talk about bravery and the courage to pivot, even at the height of success if something feels off. An episode full of wisdom and practical tips and a fascinating personal story: BIO I spent years as a professional concert cellist performing with Grammy Award–winning ensembles, only to discover that even a dream career can leave you asking deeper questions about identity, purpose, and what comes next. That experience led me to the work I do today. I’m the author of Beyond Potential and the host of the Tales from The Lane podcast, where I explore what happens when high-achieving professionals reach a point where success no longer feels fully aligned. Through my coaching and writing, I help thoughtful leaders reassess their identity, redefine success, and move into their next chapter with clarity and purpose. FABULOUS AFTER FIFTY! EPISODE 193 – Barbara Ann Mojica – What Screen Time Can Never Give Your Grandchildren — But You Can
2026/08/21
Today’s conversation is one that I think every grandparent, every parent, and every person who cares about the next generation needs to hear. We live in a world drowning in information and starving for wisdom. The most powerful thing a young person can have I believe is not a smartphone, not a tablet, and not a Wi-Fi connection. It is a trusted adult who tells them the truth, teaches them to think, and passes on the values that no screen ever could. Enter Barbara Ann, creator of the beloved Little Miss History children’s book series . She provides tools to inspire, entertain and educate youth and sees History as the key to solving today’s problems BIO Barbara Ann Mojica, M.A. S.A.S., S.D.A is a historian and retired educator. Her education career spans more than forty years serving as a teacher, special educator, principal, and school district administrator. FABULOUS AFTER FIFTY! EPISODE 189 – ULRIKA TORQUATO- Joyering!
2026/07/10
Ulrika Torquato is as diverse in the countries she has lived in as in the careers she has pursued: medical doctor, a career as opera singer and currently  postgraduate studies in palliative care psychology. The outcome of this: Joyering: the practice of noticing joy in every day life. We are talking meaning, presence and what truly matters. BIO Born in Sweden, raised in Brazil, and now living in Switzerland, my path has been anything but linear. I first trained and worked as a medical doctor before leaving that career to pursue opera singing in Europe. Although the change felt deeply right at the time, it did not bring the sense of fulfillment I had expected. Over the years, I became increasingly interested in why so many of us continue feeling that something is missing, even when life looks good from the outside. What gradually changed my life was not another achievement or reinvention, but learning to pay attention differently — noticing the small moments of joy and meaning that were already present, but often overlooked. This led me to create Joyering®, a simple app and practice that helps people reconnect with those moments in daily life. Now, at 57, I find myself returning in a new way to medicine through postgraduate studies in palliative care psychology, integrating different parts of my life and exploring what truly matters in how we live.
