I Got It All Wrong
2026/10/05
For most of my life, I was certain about one part of my future: I was going to get married. It wasn't just a childhood daydream. It became a prayer, a desire, and eventually part of the story I assumed God was writing for me. But what happens when you reach a place where you are genuinely happy, deeply loved, fully living - and you realize the life God is building with you may not require the ending you spent years expecting? In Episode 5, I Got It All Wrong, I'm saying some things out loud for the first time. We're talking about marriage, singleness, romantic love, heartbreak, choosing yourself, the prayers we carry for years, and the uncomfortable possibility that sometimes we trust God to give us the life we envisioned instead of trusting Him with the life He envisions for us. I still love love. I still desire marriage. I'm not closing that door. But I'm beginning to understand that surrender doesn't require me to stop desiring something - it requires me to stop controlling what God's answer has to look like. Maybe I got the prayer wrong. Maybe I misunderstood the answer. Maybe I mistook desire for destiny. Or maybe the story simply isn't finished yet. Either way, I'm giving God back the pen.
October Trailer: Living In Our Becoming
2026/10/01
October has entered the chat, Boldarians... and apparently she brought questions, an apocalypse, daily bread, breasts, body changes, and one very important conversation about who we become along the way. In this October trailer for Season 5, Living in Our Becoming gets even more honest, funny, sacred, uncertain, and wonderfully ridiculous. This month, I'm asking what happens when the life you imagined and the life you're actually living don't tell the same story. We're talking about surviving change, wanting God to give us the whole plan, learning what sustains us when He doesn't, loving the body we're living in, caring for it because we still have a whole lot of living left to do, and sitting down with a special guest to ask not only what she has accomplished - but who she had to become along the way. Some of October will make us think. Some of it will make us laugh. Some of it may have us looking at our own lives differently. And some of it... I probably have absolutely no business saying into a microphone. But I'm going to say it anyway. Because we're still Living in Our Becoming. The serious parts. The sacred parts. The uncertain parts. The absolutely ridiculous parts. All of it belongs. Boldarians, welcome to October. Let's become.
Things I Like About My Life Right Now
2026/09/28
Boldarians, we have done some WORK this month. We have examined ourselves, talked about discernment, decided what deserves our time, wrestled with old versions of ourselves, and asked plenty of questions. So today? I do not want to fix anything. In Things I Like About My Life Right Now, we are ending September with something beautifully simple: noticing the actual experience of being ourselves. Not our resumes. Not the next goal. Not what still needs healing. Not even a disguised gratitude assignment. [laughs] Just this question: What do you genuinely like about your life right now? We are talking about letting compliments breathe, catching glimpses of ourselves outside the mirror, appreciating wonderfully unimpressive pleasures, discovering that peace can be luxurious, and recognizing that some of the things that feel ordinary today were once things we prayed for. Because I do not want to become so obsessed with who I am becoming that I forget to like who I am. Maybe everything is not perfect. Maybe there are still prayers you are praying, things you are building, and places you want to grow. None of that disqualifies you from enjoying what already exists. So no homework today, Boldarian. Just catch the glimpse. Damn. I like this. Damn. I like me. And please - let the damn compliment breathe.
WHEN YOU'RE NO LONGER WHO THEY REMEMBER
2026/09/24
What happens when you have changed, healed, gotten sober, found treatment, learned new tools, or simply grown into someone you barely recognize - but the people who have known you the longest still remember who you used to be? In When You're No Longer Who They Remember, we're having a layered conversation about family, history, mental health, recovery, accountability, trust, reconciliation, boundaries, and the archives we carry of one another. Because several truths can exist in the same room: You can have changed, and they can still be hurt. You can be healthier, and they can still be afraid. You can be trustworthy today, and they can still remember when trusting you hurt. We're also turning the mirror around. If we want the people who love us to make room for who we've become, are we willing to notice their growth too? Are we asking someone to stop defining us by our worst season while keeping them permanently frozen in theirs? This episode makes room for the difficult truth that healing does not guarantee reconciliation, explanations do not erase impact, and accountability does not require a lifetime sentence to an identity you've spent years changing. Sometimes the work is not going back to prove who you are now. Sometimes the invitation is simply to live differently going forward. Because the archive is part of the story. It just isn't the whole story anymore. Let the archive be history, not identity.
Just Because I Can Doesn’t Mean I should
2026/09/21
What happens when the question isn't Can I? but Should I? In Just Because I Can Doesn't Mean I Should, we're talking about the maturity and discernment required to say no to things that aren't necessarily bad. Sometimes the opportunity is good. The person is good. The money is good. The door is open. You are qualified. You absolutely could make it work - and it still may not belong to you. This episode explores the difference between capacity and assignment, access and confirmation, validation and alignment, and good versus right. We're talking about the hidden invoice attached to every yes, relationships that can be meaningful without being meant for forever, the pull of being wanted, chemistry that is real but isn't a compass, and the uncomfortable faith required to release something without having proof that something better is coming. Because maybe becoming isn't about maximizing every gift, accepting every invitation, or experiencing every possible version of your life. Maybe it's having enough discernment to ask: Does this fit the life I'm actually building? Sometimes the boldest answer to something beautiful, good, and completely possible is simply: Not mine.
Things I will Absolutely Make Time For
2026/09/17
Monday, we talked about the things I simply do not have time for anymore. But saying no was never the whole story. As Boldly Becoming expands into new spaces and the opportunities I once prayed for begin requiring more of me, I found myself thinking about sacrifice - what I'm willing to give, what I'm willing to rearrange, and what this next season will require. Then another question interrupted me: What am I NOT willing to sacrifice? In this bonus episode, we're talking about the things I will absolutely make time for - the ordinary, sacred, joyful pieces of life that I refuse to abandon while building what's next. Time with God. Caring for my body. Rest. Books. Family. Friendship. Community. Joy. And yes, baby, the massage is staying on the calendar. Because expansion shouldn't require us to disappear from the lives we're working so hard to build. I will make sacrifices for what I am building, but I will not sacrifice the life I am building it for. So, Boldarians, what's on your covenant? As your life expands, what are you absolutely committed to making time for?
Things 42-Year-Old Me Simply Does Not Have Time For
2026/09/14
After opening Season 5 with some heavy conversations about the hidden cost of becoming, baby... today we're going OUTSIDE. [laughs] In Things 42-Year-Old Me Simply Does Not Have Time For, we're talking about what happens when you know yourself well enough to stop spending your time, energy, cute shoes, and parking money on things that simply are not worth the squeeze. From questionable 9:30 PM plans and forty-seven-minute dinner debates to unnecessary apps, screenshot investigations, repeated explanations, and the occasional joy of canceled plans, the 42-Year-Old Approval Department is officially open. But underneath the laughs is something I've grown to appreciate: getting older has not made me want less life. I think I just want more of the life I actually like. I can go out, travel, meet people, stay out late, laugh until my stomach hurts - and I can also read a book, watch Golden Girls, sit in my house, and call that a very good day. This one is light, honest, and for anybody who has reached an age, stage, or season where the question has become: Is the juice actually worth the squeeze?
The Hidden Cost of Becoming Part II
2026/09/10
We're continuing our walk through the house in The Hidden Cost of Becoming - Part II. In Part I, we opened the doors to Grief, Rejection, and Healing. Now we're stepping into the final four rooms: Purpose, Success, Discipline, and Self-Acceptance. What happens when you understand your why, but the people around you don't? When the life you're grateful for still holds an unanswered prayer? When the rhythm required for your becoming doesn't match the rhythm around you? And what happens when, after all the healing and growing, the person you're struggling hardest to accept is yourself? This conversation makes room for the tension: purpose doesn't require visibility to be valid; contentment and longing can live in the same heart; discipline isn't perfection - sometimes it's choosing to return; and self-acceptance isn't deciding you're finished. It's deciding you don't have to be at war with yourself while you're becoming. Then, after all seven rooms, we return to the hallway and ask a different question about loneliness: What if loneliness isn't always something to eliminate? What if sometimes it's something to understand? Come back into the house, Boldarian. We're finishing the walk.
The Hidden Cost of Becoming Part I
2026/09/07
Season 5 begins with The Hidden Cost of Becoming - Part I, a conversation about a kind of loneliness we don't always expect: the loneliness that can meet us after the healing, after the boundary, after the answered prayer, and after we've started becoming someone new. In Part I, we're walking through three rooms in the house of loneliness: Grief, Rejection, and Healing. We're talking about grieving people, relationships, old versions of ourselves, and even choices we still believe are right. We're looking at the quiet rejection that can make us question our value, and the loneliness that can come when becoming healthier changes where - and how - we fit. This episode is an invitation to name what hurts without allowing the hurt to define what it means. Grief doesn't always mean you want something back. Not being chosen is not a final verdict on your worth. And healing does not require you to return to who you were just so you can keep meeting people in the same place. We aren't walking through the whole house today. Part I ends at the door of Purpose, with more rooms still ahead. Don't leave the house yet, Boldarians. We're not finished walking.
Season 4 Reloaded Recap: What God Was Building
2026/09/04
There are moments when you think you understand what God is doing - and then there are moments when you look back and realize you had no idea. In "What God Was Building," the final Season 4 Reloaded recap, we're stepping back from individual episodes to look at the season as a whole: the lessons, the growth, the obedience, the unexpected turns, and the fingerprints of God that sometimes only become clear in hindsight. This is a conversation about recognizing what was being formed in the moments that felt ordinary, uncertain, difficult, joyful, or unfinished while we were living them. It's about honoring what this season taught us, acknowledging who we've become along the way, and remembering that God's faithfulness is often easier to recognize when we finally stop long enough to look back. Season 4 Reloaded is ending, and this final recap gives us space to celebrate the journey, reflect on what God has done, and make room for what comes next. There is more to this conversation than a description could ever tell you. So come walk through it with me. Season 4 Reloaded may be ending, but becoming never does.
Season 5 Trailer
2026/09/01
Boldarians, WE. ARE. HERE. Season FIVE of Boldly Becoming has officially arrived! This season, we’re not waiting for some future version of ourselves to finally show up before we start living. We’re standing in prayers we once prayed, growth we worked for, healing we fought for, and opportunities we couldn’t have completely planned—and we’re learning what it means to actually live while we’re still becoming. And Boldly Becoming is expanding! This season brings new opportunities, new ways to connect, more laughter, more honest conversations, and yes… Boldly Becoming is headed to Atlanta radio! But even with plans on the calendar (and y’all KNOW I have a calendar!), Season 5 comes with open hands. Because this season? We’re going with God’s flow. We’re talking about what happens when growth becomes real life—when opportunities arrive, priorities change, relationships shift, success requires stewardship, and the person you’re becoming starts making decisions the person you used to be may not have understood.  This isn’t a season about watching me become. This is about all of us learning how to live as the people we’re becoming. So bring your questions, your laughter, your stories, and the version of you that’s still figuring some things out. You don’t have to arrive here finished.  Welcome to Season Five, Boldarians. Live boldly. Walk in purpose. Keep becoming.
What Becoming Sounds Like
2026/08/31
What does becoming sound like? After a season of conversations about boldly becoming, walking in purpose, and learning to love ourselves unconditionally along the way, this episode turns the microphone toward the journey itself—and toward the Boldarian community. Kennyetta explores four parts of the lifestyle of becoming: trust, preparation, boundaries, and becoming. What does it mean to trust God while also learning to trust yourself? Are you preparing for the things you're praying for? What boundaries are necessary for the life you're building? And can you allow yourself to enjoy discovering who you are becoming instead of constantly treating growth like another assignment? Then, for the first time, you'll hear directly from Boldarians as Kiona, Damola, and Sherese share what becoming sounds like from where they are standing right now—each offering a different perspective, a different lesson, and a different voice. Because becoming doesn't sound the same for everyone. Sometimes it sounds like trust. Sometimes preparation. Sometimes a much-needed no. Sometimes laughter, rest, uncertainty, or simply, “I'm proud of myself.” For four seasons, you've listened to my voice. Today, I hope you hear your own. 🎙️ And don't miss the Season 4 Reloaded Recap this Thursday, where we'll look back at what this season gave us, what God was building while we were living it, and I'll share a very special announcement about what's next for Boldly Becoming. Keep living boldly. Keep walking in purpose. Keep answering the call God has placed on your life. And wherever you are in the world...keep becoming.
What I'm Taking With Me
2026/08/24
Every new season asks us a question: What are you taking with you? We spend a lot of time talking about what we need to release—the habits, relationships, expectations, and old versions of ourselves that can no longer travel where we're going. But what about the things worth keeping? In this episode of Boldly Becoming, Kennyetta reflects on what it means to intentionally “pack your heart” before entering a new season. Using the story of a man packing one final box after forty years at his job, she explores a simple truth: sometimes the most valuable things we carry forward aren't the things that look impressive from the outside. They're the things that remind us who we became along the way. As Season 4 begins moving toward its close, Kennyetta shares what she refuses to leave behind: her relationship with God, rest, healthy boundaries, joy, surrender, and the freedom of knowing she doesn't have to carry everything. Because maybe the goal isn't simply to carry less. Maybe it's to make sure we're carrying the right things. What has God grown in you that deserves a place in your next chapter? What lessons have become wisdom? What relationships have earned a permanent place? What beliefs have become anchors for your soul? And which version of yourself do you want walking into your next season? Not everything belongs in your future. Some things were meant to teach you, not travel with you. But what God has grown inside of you? Don't leave that behind. Carry your faith. Carry your peace. Carry your joy. Carry your wisdom. And carry the person God has been faithfully shaping all along. Because God isn't just preparing your next season. He's preparing you for it.
Who I've Become
2026/08/17
What happens when you look back at who you used to be…and realize you barely recognize her? In this deeply reflective episode of Boldly Becoming, Kennyetta opens journals spanning more than two decades and discovers something she wasn't expecting. She thought she was reading her story. Instead, she was reading the faithfulness of God. Through handwritten prayers, old dreams, heartbreak, unanswered questions, tear-stained pages, and seasons she once wondered if she would survive, Kennyetta comes face-to-face with younger versions of herself—and realizes just how quietly God has been transforming her all along. Because growth isn't always loud. Sometimes you don't realize you've healed until something that once shattered you no longer holds the same power. Sometimes you don't recognize your growth until you respond differently. And sometimes you don't realize who you've become until you look back at who you used to be. This episode explores identity, rejection, rest, confidence, fear, obedience, and the difference between fighting to become “enough” and finally believing what God has already said about you. And through the story of Joshua, Kennyetta asks a bigger question: What have you surrendered that God never asked you to give away? Your peace? Your joy? Your confidence? Your voice? Your hope? Your dreams? Maybe becoming isn't about creating an entirely new version of yourself. Maybe it's about becoming comfortable with the person God knew you were all along. This isn't an episode about celebrating how much we've changed. It's about celebrating the God who never did. Pull out an old journal. Find an old photograph. Sit with a memory you haven't visited in years and ask yourself: Where were God's fingerprints that I couldn't see at the time? Because the story was never just about who you were. It has always been about who God has been.
The Relationships That Built Me
2026/08/13
Who helped build the person you are today? Some people become roots. Some become branches. Some are only with us for a season. And some relationships arrive like storms—changing us in ways we may not understand until years later. In this bonus episode of Boldly Becoming, Kennyetta uses the image of a growing tree to reflect on the relationships that shape our lives: family, friendships, mentors, teachers, heartbreaks, losses, and even the unexpected people whose kindness leaves a permanent mark. Because every relationship leaves a deposit. Some leave confidence. Some leave wisdom. Some leave laughter, courage, faith, or compassion. Others teach us boundaries, self-respect, forgiveness, and how to keep growing after disappointment. And sometimes, the relationships that changed us the most don't last forever. This episode is an invitation to look back with gratitude—not pretending every relationship was good or every ending was easy, but recognizing what God was able to grow through each season. You'll also be challenged to consider the other side of the story: Who helped build your tree? And just as importantly… Whose tree is stronger because you were part of their story? Before you move on with your week, give someone their flowers. Send the text. Make the call. Write the letter. Tell the people who helped shape you that their presence mattered. Then ask God one simple question: “Lord, whose tree are You inviting me to help grow?” Stay rooted. Keep growing. And remember—the most beautiful trees aren't the ones that never endured a storm. They're the ones whose roots learned to hold on through every season.
