Claire Whitcombe
2026/08/02
Today, I'm joined by Claire Whitcombe, a faithful Christian, mum of two young teenagers, and a loving wife to her husband Mark. Claire grew up in Canberra as a preacher’s kid at the Canberra Church of Christ, so she was surrounded by an incredibly warm, hospitable church community. But as a teenager, she reached a point where she knew she needed to make her faith her own. Since then, Claire has walked with the Lord across different countries and communities, and today, serving heavily in children's Bible ministries. Claire and her family worship with the Macquarie Church of Christ. So with that — let's get right into it.
Richard Birkett

Faith journey, transformation, and hope.In this special episode, I sit down with Richard Birkett, a faithful and long-time Christian from my home congregation (the Canberra Church of Christ). Richard shares his lifelong faith journey, from his early confirmation in the Presbyterian Church to finding deeper truth in the Canberra Church of Christ after responding to a Bible course advertisement in 1978 by Ian Grant. He reflects on baptism, ongoing learning through Scripture, and how God’s providence guided him. Richard also speaks on overcoming personal loss with hope and the support of his church family and God's Word, encouraging us in persevering, enduring, sincere, lasting faith.

Daniel Smith
2025/10/14
A conversation about Daniel’s search for truth, the questions that led him to explore the Bible more deeply, and the journey that eventually led him to faith in Christ. Today, I’ve got another great conversation lined up with someone who has such a genuine heart for God and for people, Daniel Smith. Daniel grew up in Gympie, Queensland, in a Christian family with two older sisters and an older brother. After finishing school, he went on to study Biology at university before heading down to Tasmania to spend two years at a Bible school. Not long after that, he met and married his wonderful wife Hannah, and together they moved to Toowoomba, where they’ve been living for the past eight years. These days, Daniel works full-time for the Gipps St Church of Christ, where he’s involved in preaching, helping smaller congregations, running youth group, and much more. He and Hannah have two young boys — four-year-old Oliver, and their one-year-old, Franklin. Daniel became a Christian when he was 14, after spending a lot of time digging into the arguments for and against God’s existence — watching debates, reading books, and exploring all the evidence. Through that search, he became convinced that God is real and that Jesus truly is the Son of God — and that faith has shaped everything since. So, with that, sit back, relax, and enjoy this conversation with my friend Daniel Smith.
Bob Marks
2025/09/13
A conversation about Bob’s life of faith, his many years of preaching the gospel and serving the church, and the experiences that shaped his commitment to sharing Christ with others. Today, I’ve got a really special guest with me: Bob Marks. Bob’s someone who’s spent most of his life faithfully serving God in all sorts of ways, from preaching in churches across Australia to handing out flyers on street corners, always with a smile and perseverance. He’s also someone who’s had a big impact on my own life, and you’ll hear more about that as we chat. Bob has seen a lot over the years, and I think you’ll find his story really encouraging. Whether you’re new to faith or you’ve been walking with Jesus for a long time, I hope this interview can encourage your faith, and you can pick up a few tips too. So, with that, I hope you enjoy my conversation with my friend, Bob Marks.
