It may show up as anxiety, intimidation, nightmares, spiritual oppression, or fascination with dark things. God invites us into a life free from fear through the power of His truth and His presence. As Halloween approaches, it’s important to take a biblical look at what we participate in and celebrate—especially as moms leading our homes spiritually. Now I want to approach this with grace — no shame, no judgment. Every family is on a journey. But scripture encourages us to use wisdom and discernment. Ephesians 5:11 — “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.” 1️⃣ It Normalizes Darkness & Evil 2️⃣ It Desensitizes Kids to the Enemy’s Influence 3️⃣ It Is Spiritually Rooted in Fear SO HOW DO WE BREAK FREE FROM FEAR? ✅ 1️⃣ Replace Fear With Truth Fear grows in the absence of truth. John 8:36 — “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” Every time fear speaks, speak back with scripture.  “I’m alone” → God is with me (Joshua 1:9) “I’m not safe” → God is my defender (Psalm 91) ✅ 2️⃣ Close Any Doors the Enemy Has Used Sometimes fear comes from what we entertain: Scary moviesDark imageryWitchcraft or supernatural fascination James 4:7 — “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” Pray through your home.  Ask the Holy Spirit:  “What needs to go?” This doesn’t have to be dramatic — it’s just taking spiritual authority. ✅ 3️⃣ Fill Your Home With Light Fear cannot thrive where God is welcomed. Psalm 27:1 — “The Lord is my light and my salvation — whom shall I fear?” Practical ideas: Worship music in the backgroundScripture on wallsPrayer and gratitude moments as a family Let your home become a sanctuary of peace.Fear doesn’t get to lead your story.  You are a daughter of the light.  The enemy has no power over you. Psalm 34:4 — “I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears.” Take a deep breath — God is with you. And every step you take in truth breaks fear’s hold on your life. Your identity is rooted in Christ, not in motherhood, ministry, or performance. 2) God defines your value. Whether you’re busy or resting, His love for you remains the same. 1 john 3:1- see what great love the father has lavished on us that we should be called children of GodRomans 5:8 says, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us"Jeremiah 31:3 says, "I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you out with lovingkindness"Romans 8:38-39: proclaims, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord" 3) Roles can change, identity doesn’t. Connect with me here! Send me a text message! Is it just me or are you exhausted from the constant busyness of life? Ovewhelemd by the tasks at hand. Constantly striving for success only to come up empty handed? Busyness does not equal success- there are so many days where I feel like I’ve ‘accomplished’ something but then when I really look back its all a bunch of nonsense that really didn’t give me any human connection or time with my family or growth in my faith. It was just stuff i thought I needed to do to move a certain invisible needle forward…to gain what? To accomplish what? I’m not saying that doing work is a bad thing. We DO need to work and we can’t be lazy BUT when we find ourselves exhausted from the grind it is time to take a good look at ourselves and reevaluate our priorities. Take inventory of what is most important to you. Do you value time with your spouse or friends or kids? Are you extrovert so you know that you need some good quality time with people to fill your cup or are you introverted and know that some quiet time with jesus will really fill you? Again this is about us reevaluate our true desires for our life and what we are actually putting our effort into.  I encourage you to make two lists- one that shows the desires you have for your life- in relationships, in ministry, at work etc. Then the second list write down your actual actiivtes over the next few days…how you actually spent your time and energy. Then compare. Are the activities you are giving your energy too fulfilling the desires of your heart 2. REST- seems so obvious but why is it so hard to do?? - Learn to say no -Schedule actual downtime for rest -Get outside!!  3. SLOW DOWN- No the same as resting although they are like sisters lol  -Slowing down is choice to say no. To stop and literally smell the roses. To choose to pay attention to what is right in front of you instead of worrying about what comes next. To seek Him first and let HIM take care of the rest.  -This involves keeping up with ‘tasks’ but allowing yourself to breathe while you do it.  Be encouraged, challenged and blessed today!! Do you ever wake up in the morning and not feel like a Christian(maybe cause of shame or guilt or just plain humanness lol) Or maybe you don’t want to spend time with God or in His word? These FEELINGS are normal BUT we have the power to overcome those feelings and not give into them. To put faith into action and not let our feelings win. Let’s talk about this.  Some times I don’t want to workout but I know that I should or sometimes I just want to eat sugar and snacks all day but ultimately i know this isn’t beneficial to me and won’t give me the results I want in my mental or physical well being.  The same is true for our spiritual health! We have to get in the same mindset we would have when taking care of our physical bodies. Not giving in to our flesh and eating a carton of cookies but instead eating one cookie and then going for a walk lol Not indulging in a huge bowl of ice cream every night because you ‘deserve it’ after a hard day but instead choosing some fruit and then maybe a bowl at the end of the week.  Spiritually speaking not indulging in our laziness of not wanting to put the work into our relationship with God because we are tired or don’t feel like it but instead pushing through and reminding ourselves of the benefits of faith over feelings! When I looked up ‘faith over feelings’ the google said this- "Faith over feelings" means prioritizing trust in God's word and promises over relying on one's fluctuating emotions. Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:7 – "For we live by faith, not by sight." Feelings are real but not final. Emotions can be indicators but not decision-makers.- Emotions are unreliable.Quote on blog I read- ‘So many people live their lives completely controlled by their feelings. Every decision, reaction, and even their identity is shaped by how they feel in the moment. The problem is, our feelings are unstable, unreliable, and often flat-out wrong. They’re not meant to be the compass guiding our lives’2)Have to learn to TRUST God and his plan- let go and give God the reins - God’s word is truth- - The world will tell you to follow your heart, trust your gut, and live by your truth. But if your feelings are your guide, you’ll always be tossed around by whatever circumstance you face. One moment you’re happy and confident, and the next you’re overwhelmed by insecurity and doubt. That’s why feelings can’t be your foundation. God must be. 3) Speak truth over emotion. Use scripture to realign your heart when your feelings lie. We, as women, are emotional creatures. Its a gift from God cause we are tender hearted and we love and care deeply. There are sooo many good things to this BUT it can also be a weakness if we let our emotions run wild. Lol 4) Anchor in God's character. Faith grows as you rehearse & remember who God is, no onlyt what you feel. Connect with me here! Send me a text message! The reminder for you today is that you are a daughter of the most high king. Kingdom Daughters was birthed from a place of me growing in my identity and realizing that I needed to be rooted and grounded in His love and move from that space.  In our busyness we can get lost in WHO we are or who we are SUPPOSEd to be. And be striving to be something by doing..instead of just being who God created us to be….which is His daughter!  You are loved deeply by your heavenly father and when you come FULLY to that realization and receive His love..then you can walk boldly into the calling He has for you! Without stress or striving or performance! Boom bam. I spent most of my life trying to earn a place in the kingdom. Thinking that I had to work and be a perfect christian to walk in freedom.  It wasn’t til I started to understand the depth of God’s love and His intention towards me that I realized I didn’t have to strive for perfection or perform a certain way to earn His love. I just had to be me.  Now side note to this…grace and love are a free gift…but that isn’t a free ride to live however you like. If you are in a deep loving relationship with God- by knowing Him and spending time with Him in His word, prayer and worship- then you will one be transformed in His presence and two have a desire to live your life in honor and praise….your actions will reflect the worship..ya know? Anyway…. I’m telling you right now that there is freedom from walking in the knowledge that no matter what I DO, as long as I am choosing to seek Him first of course, He will always love me because He created me, sees and knows me and loves me for who I am and not what I do. Boomshakala lol  So I just have  a few points to help with this topic…just to encourage you in this belief system!! Scripture: Romans 8:16-17 – “The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs, heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, …” Key Points: You are adopted and chosen. You’re not a servant—you're a daughter with full access to the Father.- isn’t this awesome! We are heiresses to the kingdom!We can approach His throne boldly Ephesians 3:12: "In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence        -Hebrews 4:16: "Let us then approach the throne of grace with             confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need Now that you know these beautiful truths(and I suggest listening back to some of the earlier podcasts if you haven’t already to really dive into some of the scripture on identity!)Living as royalty means reflecting your Father. Connect with me here! Send me a text message! The other day…I made a video…posted it yesterday. About waking up and not wanting to do my bible reading. I just didn’t feel like it. And I kept feeling the nudge to do something else instead… I LITERALLY had to battle myself and force myself to read.  Now was it a HUGE  success because I read? Did God literally open the heavens and pour out fresh anointing because of my obedience? No.  Could I have been disappointed? Yes…was I? No. Because obediecnce it about the heart and because God asks it of me…not because of what I can get in return. Cause ultimately it isn’t about me. There are a small group of us going through the Lisa Trk bible study on Monday’s and last night we were talking about King Hezekiah…and how he started out by doing the right things but because he was blessed he then turned it into thinking that HE had something to do with his blessings. He became boastful, proud and super self centered. We chatted about the fact that this is common and relatable.  I mean how many times have you tried to take credit for good things in your life that you KNOW God did? I know i’ve done it..I’ve got both hands raised right now cause I’m double guilty!  It’s human nature to make things about ‘me’ instead of God or others.  That is where choice comes in. The choice to choose reading yoru Bible even when you don’t feel like it. Even when the earth doesn’t shake or you feel emotional after reading. The choice to build your spiritual muscles through discipline even if you don’t hear form God right away or see the difference over night- just like any other muscle right?  Hebrews 12:11  For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things Be encouraged, challenged and blessed today!!
