We finished up our convo about AI, where it's going, and what it's really doing. We also discussed the covid insanity and how it applies to what is going on now, and what we must prepare ourselves for.  Support the show

On this show we dove into a conversation with a roundtable of intellect from vast perspectives, but it turned out to be a phenomenal conversation. We discussed the Lindsay Clancy case and its impact. We also discussed AI and what it's capabilities truly may be, how it will affect us, and much more! Support the show

We had the entire crew back and we were set to discuss last weeks resignation of BOS Member Mike Meredith with Mike himself, but he had to cancel so we tried to make sense of the mess with what we could. We also talked about recent School Board Resignations, the hijacking of our political process locally and nationwide, the Lindsay Clancy cult, the passing of the legendary Dolly Parton, and much more. We were back in the Cabin Studio with a return for Simon, and ole Caleb Flora showed up to summarize his multi year trip out west. We also had Emmette Bird join us to talk Data Centers, a flipped vacation, and much more.! Support the show

We're still chipping away at the remodel and since Amos was already at my house we talked Simon, who was in town, into coming back where it all began, then convinced the Mayor to drop by so one of us could complain about traffic lights.  We had a good time with this one cracking jokes on the Mayor, discussing the Miss Virginia Teen Crown now residing in Franklin County with previous guest of the show Caedyn Riddle, getting updates on the town, and a just a good conversation between real, struggling, Appalachian Americans! Hope you enjoy and thank you all for the support! Support the show

Back to winging it, this time back where it all started in Rocky Mount at the home of host Billy Riddle, except we are remodeling so even the office is occupied. Simon wasn't able to make it, but Chip made his way in and we got caught up on the drought, surprises at Disney, the difference in "military" and "veteran", beef sales in America, the Annual Meeting, and much more. No set up, just the phone seeing what we could record, sitting around at Simons house, just like it was the Woodshed. This was all over the place, but hopefully you enjoy! Support the show

It was certainly an eventful week in the Moonshine Capital, and across the country if you can believe that. For longtime Podcast Guest, and Rocky Mount Mayor Holland Perdue, that was certainly the case as he headlined the news cycle twice.  He first made local headlines after a ruling by the Virginia State bar for suspending his license for 36 months, a process some citizens are questioning (Check out our Subscriber Only After Show on Patreon). The second time involved a man making his way to his office and making threats to him and his staff. We also discussed his recent Big Event at the Harvester, we got some updates on town happenings, upcoming events, touched on some national news, and much more! Support the show

Back up at the cabin....again, but we made the best of it!  Support the show

This was one of our favorites, jammed packed into an hour of great guests. Support the show

We brought back our old friend Smokey for what may be our last show at the cabin with Simon as the owner, so we had a good time with it. If you've stuck by with us through the years then you'll appreciate this one. Support the show

We're back with Mayor Holland Perdue of Rocky Mount to discuss all the happenings, upcoming event, state issues, and more.! Support the show

It's been a while since we've released a show, but the weather held us down in January, and just when we were about to get back in the thick of things tragedy struck our family. Rita R. Layman, mother of host Billy Riddle was killed in a tragic accident while on vacation in Florida. So this show is to honor her, and the people in Florida who brought some Appalachian goodness to us in our worst moments. Thank y'all for sticking around. We should be back on track soon.  Support the show

Hey friends we didn't record a full show this week because we wanted to attend the two meetings involving the School Board and their Budget shortfall. So Amos and myself attended the Tuesday (Regularly Scheduled) meeting where people were allowed to speak, so we have his speech. Thursday Simon and Amos attended to report back, so on this one we just give you the updates! Support the show
