This spans from albums 1989-Lover, and we’ll also be discussing the “Taylor’s Over Party” that sparked the album, Reputation. This episode has a similar format to Country Taylor, where we discuss each respective pop album and share our favorite songs, and general feelings. Overall, we agree that pop Taylor has a continuous sound from 1989 to Lover, but also love how Lover is starts to get the poetic lyrics we see in folklore and evermore. Hey friends we are back with part 2 of Country Taylor, in this episode we are talking about Speak Now, Red, and Red Taylor’s Version. In this episode we are carrying on our conversation from part 1 of Country Taylor, starting with her complete self-written album, Speak Now. In this album we are still rooted in country but we’re starting to see some pop influences in her music! We then talk about Red vs. Red Taylor’s Version, and talk about how this was the album that transitioned Taylor from a country artist to more of a pop sound. Like in part 1, we discuss the differences between the old and new versions of the album and how Taylor’s Version sounds like the album she wanted to record in the first place. Hello friends, we are back from our little hiatus with more Tea & Squee! For the next couple of weeks we will be discussing our favorite musician and pop culture icon: Taylor Swift. Since we’ll be discussing her work in chronological order, these first two parts we’ll be discussing Country Taylor (the episodes will be posted simultaneously). Hello, hello friends we’re back with our FINAL episode covering the Twilight Saga! We’re once again joined by our dear friend Allie to spill the tea on parts 1 and 2 of the Breaking Dawn movies. This has been four months of total chaos, but we’re so thrilled to finally be concluding our coverage on the Twilight Saga (and for Alyssa to stop having dreams about Twilight). In this episode we’re comparing the differences between the books vs. the films, but something we noticed with Breaking Dawn, is that the movies are pretty much in sync with the books. Well…except for the final battle scene in Breaking Dawn part 2, but we go into depth on how that scene shocked the pants off of people. We also talk about the horrifying CGI baby Regurgitation (Renesmee) had and different ways that could’ve been solved. However, we felt the need to comment on our disappointment with Bella’s very controlled newborn vampire tendencies and the gross dynamic between Jacob and Regurgitation (Renesmee). Hello friends! We’re so excited to be back after our holiday hiatus with more Twilight content for you all, in this episode we will be covering the first half of Eclipse. We talk a lot about Edward and Bella’s shifting relationship dynamic, Bella as a character and how she has to fight so hard to be heard, and Charlie’s fall from being a 10/10 dad to not prioritizing his daughter. We have some squee moments as well, like the addition of the most perfect and sweet character: Seth Clearwater and our undying love for Rosalie. In this episode we talk about Stephanie Meyer’s cultural appropriation of the Quileute Tribe’s stories and her depiction of the tribe itself throughout the series.
