Spooky time continues at Now Watch This! Luck and Joe cover one of the best horror movies of all time with Poltergeist. Poltergeist (1982) is a masterclass in suburban dread, blending Steven Spielberg’s signature family warmth with Tobe Hooper’s visceral horror. The story follows the Freelings—Steve, Diane, and their three kids—living a cookie-cutter life in a California planned community called Cuesta Verde. Was this movie cursed? Who really directed Hooper or Spielberg? We discuss this and more. We all loved the Jobeth Williams scene too lol Go into the light children there is peace in the light....this house is clean. Watchers the spooky season continues at Now Watch This! Growing up in the 80s and 90s nothing scared me more than Robert Stacks voice coming over the creepiest theme in television of Unsolved Mysteries. When now watch this talks Halloween in the 80s we bring the expert in and thats Gerry D of Totally Rad Christmas. Gerry and I grew up being spooked by the unexplained episodes of Unsolved Mysteries and we wanted to share that fear with the watchers. Forget The Excorcists, Amittyville, and those kids in the corn the thing that got me was the ghost segments in Unsolved Mysteries. Join us and then after head over to Totally Rad Christmas and hear us there as well.

It's time, it's time, It's Halloween Time! Just in time for the holiday season we cover the Disney Channel Original Movie Halloweentown! On her 13th birthday, Marnie (Kimberly J. Join us as we go back to the 80s for the 1987 comedy classic Summer School! What better way to end summer and kick off the school year than this movie we loved. Lazy high school gym teacher Freddy Shoop (Mark Harmon) must cancel a dream Hawaiian vacation to teach a remedial English class of misfit students. Blackmailed by a strict vice-principal, Shoop uses unconventional teaching methods and bribery to connect with the kids. See the original podcast duo before there were podcasts Chainsaw and Dave. A pre look who's talking Kirstie Alley. Made by the great Carl Reiner of The Jerk fame but to me he played Saul in the Oceans movies. We even get Kalabar in this! So much fun give us a listen!

We're back with another one of Jenns favorites we cover 1988's Beetlejuice in watchalong style. We revisit one of our favorite directors in Tim Burton. We did peewee last week and our nback with his 2nd film After Barbara and Adam Maitland die in a car accident, they find themselves stuck haunting their country residence, unable to leave the house. When the unbearable Deetzes and teen daughter Lydia buy the home, the Maitlands attempt to scare them away without success. Their efforts attract Beetlejuice, a rambunctious spirit whose help quickly becomes dangerous for the Maitlands and innocent Lydia.

Even before i brought Jenn in on the show i knew i needed to get her in on this movie. Of course i loved PeeWee growing up a child of the 80s but Jenn takes that love to anothere level. She can truly quote this line for line. The eccentric and childish Pee-wee Herman embarks on a big adventure when his beloved bicycle is stolen. Armed with information from a fortune-teller and a relentless obsession with his prized possession, Pee-wee encounters a host of odd characters and bizarre situations as he treks across the country to recover his bike. We talk peewees playhouse, the love for San Antonio, and the portrayal of Texans in Hollywood. One of our favorites of all time comes a Now Watch This classic.

Well she's back for more we get Jenn back for another episode and as predicted she's well loved. We had a couple of movie dates this week so we had to come talk to the watchers about them. We get into the newest Toy Story movie and who would have thought 31 years later we are still getting a great movie from dreamworks. Led now by Jessie it really told a great story of old toys vs modern tech. Woody, Buzz and the whole gang returned and managed to once again drive this old man to tears. Next we saw the latest DCU movie Supergirl starring Milly Alcock. This movie has received tons of hate but my daughter and i loved it .....Jenn not so much lol hear why jen napped through some. Another fun episode with the wife i hope you guys like it as much as we did.

well it finally happened! Jenn and I had a quickie on Now Watch This! i have been listening to podcasts for years and my favorites have always been the podcasts where the hosts are good friends. While i love having my buddies on, since Luck has been gone i've missed the consistency of recording with the same partner every episode. i've got plenty of candidates to cover but when i thought about what i wanted on my show i started thinking of my favotite pods, Jafn, YMH, 2 bears, Bad friends, MSSP, and my OG fave smodcast they are all pods with their best friend on. So i turned to my true life long best friend my wife Jen. Noone gets me like her, makes me laugh like her, calms me like her and stresses me like her, so i know she'll be great on here. I hope you guys like our 1st couple cast

Now watch this goes back to the raddest time of all the 80s! When i go to the 80s i can't thnk ofd a better companion than the raddest podfather out there Gerry D of Totally Rad Christmas. The year was 1984 Ghostbusters was the big summer hit and in Minneapolis Prince was getting ready to release his 1st venture on the silver screen that became the classic Purple Rain. Purple Rain, the semi-autobiographical and prophetic story of a musician’s rise to superstardom, opened on July 27, 1984. One month later, Prince Roger Nelson became the first artist to ever have the top movie, album, and single at the same time. Dig if you will these purified facts about the musical 1980s cult classic. Gerry and I talk from Let's go crazy to I will die 4u and everything in between. Such a classic concert film never to be replicated. What was your favorite song from this movie. Darling Nikki, or were you a member of the time doing the bird like gerry and I. Purify yourselves in lake Minnetonka tonight while we take you back to this 80s masterpiece.

Watchers today Joe is joined by the great CM Chuck of the Just Another Friday Night Podcast. Chuck is legally obligated to come onto the cast whenever we travel into Kevin Smith's viewaskew universe. Now we've covered Clerks and Mallrats and now we follow Jay and Silent Bob into the 1999 classic Dogma .Two fallen angels who were ejected from paradise find themselves banned in Wisconsin. They are now headed for New Jersey where they find a loophole that can get them back into heaven. The only catch is that it will destroy humanity. A group bands together to stop them. We do the classic NWT watch along here with one of our favorites from Chuck and i's graduation year ! One of Kevin Smiths best movies with a top notch cast. Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Chris Rock, Salma Hayek, Jason Lee, and the great Alan Rickman kill it in this film. This is probably my favorite Matt and Ben film. Who's house? Run's House!

Watchers we are back with another edition of Now Watch This. This week Joe is joined by NWT alumni Coach Dave Maynard. With the upcoming Avengers Doomsday coming out I have been in a Marvel mood and what better way to get it started than with the one that truly started them all and thats Iron Man 2008. A billionaire industrialist and genius inventor, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), is conducting weapons tests overseas, but terrorists kidnap him to force him to build a devastating weapon. Instead, he builds an armored suit and upends his captors. Returning to America, Stark refines the suit and uses it to combat crime and terrorism. WE talk all things Robert Downey Jr and everything thjat went into making this epic. Iron Man did so much that we still see in cinema today. Reinventing the career of RDJ and launching Marvel Studios into the 37 movie run that has come after Iron Man. Thats right 37 in a row. There is no Doomsday coming without Iron Man. Join Nwt on our Marvel run and help choose what's next.
