At Reconciliation Road Church this week, we had Patrick McMahon, a beloved brother in Christ, come and bring us a powerful word on the incredible story of Stephen, the first martyr. We were encouraged to see through the Word that persecution can be expected in the life of a believer, but God gives us the strength we need to stand firm.

As we continue in our Acts Series, Simi Dhlamini brought us a word from Acts 6:1–7. We were reminded and encouraged to see that the Lord’s church has always navigated through growing pains and, through wisdom and trust in God, has always persevered!

This week, we had Bandile Sizani, a partner in Christ from Grace Generation Church, bring us a word from Acts 4:32 till Acts 5:11. He spoke to us about the reality of how, being in church among people different from you, conflict often arises. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to shine the restorative nature of the Gospel.

In this week’s standalone preaching, we had Ryan TerMorsethuizen share a powerful and encouraging word on becoming a people of prayer! Rooted in Philippians 4:1–7 and many other Scriptures, we were reminded that living as a people of prayer is vital. Prayer isn’t just for specifically organised meetings or desperate moments—prayer should be EVERYWHERE!

This week, we had Christo Esau, a guest speaker from our beloved partner, OneCity, come and continue our Acts series. He taught from Acts 4:1–22, showing us the impact of ordinary people who live empowered by the Holy Spirit.

As we continue the Acts series, this week we navigate chapter 3:1-26 as Peter and John heal a man and preach the gospel to those who witnessed the miracle. Nathan challenges us to see people and share the good news about Jesus!

This week, Prince brought us an inspiring word from Acts 2:42–47. We saw from this passage how a gospel-centred community operates by relying on the Holy Spirit, committing to prayer, and fellowshipping closely with one another.

At Reconciliation Road Church this week, we had guest preacher Zip Nolan from our extended church family, OneCity, come continue in our Acts series! Zip gave us a powerful word rooted in Acts 2:22–41 about the vindication of Jesus and how that affects us on this side of the resurrection.

This week at Reconciliation Road Church, we received word from Nathan Haylock that was both challenging and encouraging! Nathan spoke to us from Acts 1:12-26 about the importance of being actively obedient while we wait for the Lord to act.

Nozipho Dhlamini kicked us off in our Acts Series this week with a wonderful introduction to the Book of Acts!  This message is filled with so much helpful context that lays a beautiful foundation for what is to come. Nozi showed us through the Scriptures that God wants us to go out into the world and spread the Gospel just like the early church did, and most especially with the help of His Holy Spirit!

This week at Reconciliation Road Church, we had guest speaker Blessing Ngubane speak to us from Acts 2:42–47. The encouragement to us was to look at the format of the early church and be inspired! Their love for Christ, their joy, their togetherness, and their desire to go out into the world and spread the Gospel are what we should look to as a part of God's design for a healthy church.

This week, we had Zip Nolan from OneCity Church come and encourage us through Matthew 5:13–20. He encouraged us to be salt and light in a world that is heavily influenced by sinful culture and ungodly trends. He challenged us to stand firm in the face of these influences and continue to live in a way that reflects Christ to those around us.

This past Sunday at Reconciliation Road Church, Prince preached from Haggai 1:1–9. He showed that the Israelites and we have much in common: both struggle to keep our priorities in the right order. Prince reminded us that when we focus on the work God has called us to do, God brings order to our lives. Too often we wait for life to feel settled before serving Him, but Haggai teaches the opposite—when we put God's purposes first, He takes care of the rest.

A very special Ordination Sunday here at Reconciliation Road Church, where we had Gareth Bowley preach from Haggai 2. From the Scripture, we were encouraged by the story of the Israelites rebuilding the House of God and the ups and downs of that journey. Gareth helped us to see how we all have a part to play when the Lord calls His people to work.

This week, we had Nozipho Dhlamini speak to us from 1 Corinthians 6 on the topic of "Working Out Gospel-Centred Sexuality." Nozi challenged us to see and faithfully follow what the Word of God says about sex and our bodies, rather than following what the world says.
