Back with another episode of the CDP. We are moving to bi-weekly episodes, starting this week with musician Luke Weaver. This week I talk with Luke about his experiences in the military, his take on progressive music, and how he plans to transform his project Killing Polyphemus into a full international production company.

After an empty week without a new drummer to interview, we are finally back with a passionate and talented musician from Statesville, NC. Raine is a drummer from the hardcore music scene who grew up with a musical father that he was inspired by. This episode we talk about his middle school paintball incident, how his mother got him into music from Meshuggah to Kanye West, and how his band Nuclear Desolation got its name.  Outro Song: Nuclear Desolation - Torn

THIS WEEK! We have the amazing Jonathan Greene from Winston Salem, NC. Jonathan has spent 20+ years behind the kit, 10 of those spent with his church. He is also a teacher of 13  years and enjoys spreading his knowledge to the world. This episode I talk to Jonathan about how relationships affects the quality of music you can make with others. We also talk about figuring out what you are truly interested in and following that path and I introduce him to the marching band world. 

This is a super exciting episode, because I'm introducing drummer and new friend Wyatt to the podcast. He has 30 years of experience as a drummer and musician and has so much knowledge he's willing to share with the world. We talk about some funny tour stories with his band Preacher Stone as well as how he transformed from hitting pots and pans touring Europe. For this weeks episode I have an amazing guest who is talented in many areas of drumming. His name is Nathan and he adds style and color to his drumming with different sized splashes and an interesting stack setup. During the interview we discuss about his two current projects, how to balance multiple projects at the same time, and his experience teaching at Heritage High School. We have officially reached 10 episodes! This week we have Joshua Williams who is known for playing with North Carolina local bands Promo, Nova Mortis, and currently Still Searching. This week, I welcome our first South Carolina drummer from Newberry. Tyler and I talk about his creation of his band Wiltwither, drumming philosophies, and horrific marching band stories! Outro Song: Wiltwither - Turquoise 

After a three week break, we finally are back with another episode and there's no way to get back to this better than having Dave Jackson as my guest. Whether you know him as the rum guy or the drum guy, to me he's the mentor. We talk about many experiences from almost 10 years ago when he taught me in high school. We also get into his time marching Rhythm X in 2010,  BTBAM, and his 1962 Ludwig kit! We're changing it up a bit this week! This week we have one of my teachers and friends Brian McKenzie. We talk about his time at Appalachian State University and how that lead into him teaching at Alchemy Independent for 2 years.
