Emily and Ky have many concerns about this hotel. They wouldn't stay in a hotel specifically for only short girls, for example. They would also ask for another room immediatly if placed in one that featured a glory hole...and once they looked through the hole (shut up, you would, too!) and discovered they were non-consensually involved in aother guest's kink, they for sure would have been out of there. But maybe if you're a champion boxing fly you don't worry about those sorts of things? Anyway, of course it was the wife who saved the day. Jimminy Cricket is back along with his new alter ego, Jiminy Cracket, to tell us not to leave anything plugged in your room for two minutes or your house will burn down, but nothing whatsoever about eating batteries in a PSA that contains sound advice for historical buffoon Benjamin Franklin, and maybe undersells the danger of mixing water and electricity just a bit. Emily and Ky have a lot of electricity stories to share from childhood fears, to really old fuse boxes, to a the chaos that a lack of electricity causes, and of course, robot massages! Listen, I cut out a full 20 minutes of additional unrelated stories. You'll get em eventually, don't stress. But do lick a nine volt battery and tell us about it!

Did we cover this movie already? Ky did a deepdive into the archive and can't find it, but we both have a vague memory that we did? Anyway, here it is! Goofy songs, terrible advice, high knee'd dance numbers, human trafficking, and sex jokes! The beach is for bitches, and thank God, no one asked Emily and Ky to watch their stuff this year, or explained to them what breakfast was! This year they're explaining one of Emily's mom's favorite movies! The woman contains legions. And Emily and Ky contain oppinions! Lots of them! Is this a deeply layered satirical commentary on modern american life? Is it an endless string of racially insensitive stereotypes and raunchy puns? Could it be both? Does anything hit quite like a piña colada on a hot day? No, absolutely not. Who doesn’t like a piña colada?? Certainly none of our listeners, which is part of what is so half-brained at best about this personal add relationship train wreck set to a boppy beat we’re re-releasing our episode on from season one. I don't know about you, listeners, but what stands out to me in this episode is not the shock of torturing old man corn (see what I did there?), not the insightful political commentary on the violence of the carceral state, not Emily's medium quality explanation of the concept of tyranny of the majority, but the fact that they mentioned the 2016 black comedy Sausage Party so many times without getting the title of the movie right even once. Emily and Ky are for the streets, so that's where they're recording (recorning?). Get tucked in like cute little peas in a pod, envision the streets of Tribeca, and tune in!
