Life After Death Instructions: Preparing for the Inevitable. Living with Intention. Leaving with Peace." | S6, EP9 | Special Guest, Janay White, MSW
2026/09/14
What if you didn’t come home today? It’s a difficult question, but one worth asking.
During my conversation with Janay White, author of "Life After Death Instructions: Preparing for the Inevitable. Living With Intention. Leaving With Peace," we were reminded that preparation isn’t about expecting the worst. It’s about loving our families enough not to leave them guessing.
Would they know your wishes? Would they know where to find what they need? Would they know who should make decisions on your behalf? Would they know what YOU wanted?
We prepare for vacations, careers, retirement, birthdays and countless other moments in life. Why not prepare for the one reality none of us can avoid?
Don’t wait for a crisis to have the conversation. Prepare with love. Live with intention. Leave with peace.

S6, EP6 - How Caregiving Reshapes Your Life, Identity, and Relationships (Special Guest, CherylAnn Haley)
2026/06/30
When most people think about caregiving, they focus on the person receiving care: their diagnosis, their needs, and their progression. But caregiving doesn't just change the life of the person being cared for; it profoundly changes the life of the caregiver.
Over time, caregiving reshapes how we see ourselves, how we interact with others, what we prioritize, and even how we envision our future. The person who begins the journey is rarely the same person years later.
This conversation will explore the emotional, relational, physical, and spiritual transformation that occurs as caregivers navigate the evolving demands of caring for a loved one.
S6, EP5 - A Caregiver's Cry - The Reality of Raising Children with Special Needs"
2026/05/23
This season, many of our conversations have centered around the journey of caring for loved ones living with dementia, but this episode is a reminder that caregiving wears many faces.
In this conversation, I sit down with Jocelyn Marie Small, founder of A Caregiver’s Cry LLC, to discuss the emotional realities of raising children with special needs.
At just 23 years old, Jocelyn became a mother and quickly found herself facing medical challenges no parent is ever truly prepared for. Both of her daughters underwent major surgeries before the age of one, and through it all, she discovered the importance of faith, honesty, grace, and support for caregivers.

2026/04/24
Joining me is Dr. Dave Handy, from the Alzheimer's Project, right here in Tallahassee—a powerful resource providing "no-cost" support for individuals with memory disorders and their caregivers and families.

This is real help. Real community. Real relief.
S6, EP1 - “THE SILENCE AFTER CAREGIVING: WHEN LOVE REMAINS BUT THE ROLE ENDS”
2026/04/21
When caregiving ends, the world doesn’t just get quieter, it changes completely.
In this powerful Season 6 premiere of the My Favorite Girl Caregiver’s Corner Podcast, we explore a side of grief that is rarely acknowledged: not just losing a loved one but losing the role of being their caregiver.
After years of structure, responsibility, and deep connection, what happens when the routine stops and the silence begins?
Through an honest and heartfelt conversation with a former caregiver who walked this journey with his mother until her passing, we unpack the emotional weight of “untethered” living, the loss of identity, and the quiet spaces that follow.
When the caregiving ends, the silence begins but so does healing.
There is memory.
There is meaning.
And most of all, there is love that remains.
This episode is for every caregiver navigating what comes after.

"Happy, Hurting and Healing" Promo | My Favorite Girl Caregivers Corner Podcast - S5, EP2
2025/01/10
Season 5 officially kicked off November 1st, and in the first episode, my guests and I tackled a deeply personal topic: "When Caregiving and Grief Collide." Experiencing the devastating loss of my best friend/sister unexpectedly a year and 5 months ago, shook me to my core. While I appeared to be functioning on the outside, internally, I was grappling with an intense pain that I had never known before. Despite my faith in God, I found myself feeling shattered and unable to stop—particularly because I still had to care for my mom.
Juggling the role of caregiver while dealing with my own grief—mourning my sister’s physical absence and simultaneously witnessing my mom’s inability to recognize me—is an incredibly complex and emotional journey. Some days are lighter, others feel heavier. There are moments when I laugh through the tears, and others when the sadness takes over. But day by day, it’s getting better.
This experience has taught me that it’s okay to be human. We are allowed to feel happy, hurting and healing all at once.
In this episode, I’m joined by my dear friend, Vicky Noland Fitch. Vicky’s husband, Phil, passed away just six months ago. Not long after his death, Vicky shared a quote on Facebook that inspired this conversation. It read, “You’re allowed to be happy, hurting and healing all at once. You’re a human, not a rock.” And that’s the truth—whether you are grieving the loss of someone through death, ambiguous loss, or a long goodbye with a loved one you’re caring for, you don’t need anyone’s permission to grieve in your own way. You are allowed to be “Happy, Hurting, and Healing.”
As you listen, my hope is that you find inspiration, strength, and grace to carry on the path God has set for you in this journey.
