190. Conquer the Craving Cycle: Why Willpower Has Never Worked
2026/02/06
Have you ever been mid-bite or mid-pour — fully aware you didn’t actually want to keep going — and still felt unable to stop? This episode is for the moments when awareness is there… but choice feels out of reach. If willpower were the solution, you’d already be free. So why do cravings and urges keep taking over — especially when you’re tired, overwhelmed, or emotionally depleted? In this episode, we explore: why awareness alone hasn’t been enough to change certain eating or drinking patterns what cravings are actually doing for you (hint: they’re not the problem) why willpower fails in the moment — and what’s missing instead how understanding the craving cycle creates choice, not control Cravings aren’t a sign that something is wrong with you. They’re information — and when you learn how to read them, everything changes. Want help with your own craving cycle? 189. What Actually Changes Inside 'The Reclaiming'
2026/02/03
One of the biggest reasons I've become a life coach myself is because I've seen how it's completely transformed my life.  ☑️ My relationship with food and body.  ☑️ My emotional awareness and capacity to feel ANY emotion. ☑️ My self awareness, reflection, and ability to learn from missed expectations.  ☑️ My ability to own my emotions and actions, and not take on those of people around me.  And most importantly: ☑️ Truly changing how I see myself – what I call my 'self concept.' After any type of trauma or abuse, it's essnetial we rebuild how we see ourselves, so that we can let go of all the negative and abusive thoughts from others.  This creates your foundation for change.  And this is exactly the type of work we're doing inside The Reclaiming.  Today's episode dives deeper into what changes you can expect after working with me in private coaching or in The Reclaiming group program.  To learn more about the group, visit the info page here: https://www.bodyyoucrave.com/reclaim  And when you're ready to explore working together, schedule your free consultation and we'll talk more about what's truly standing in your way and how to overcome it this year.  www.bodyyoucrave.com/schedule Chapters (00:00:02) - Hungry for Love(00:00:24) - What Actually Changes With Coaching(00:01:50) - What Changes When You Work With Me?(00:06:36) - Why Your Self- Worth Has Been So Dependent on the Scale(00:13:45) - What Are the Thoughts That We Take On as Truth?(00:19:00) - How to Stop Emotional Eating(00:26:52) - Narcotics: Fear of the Scale(00:32:16) - How to Reclaim Your Body(00:36:07) - Breaking the Cycle: How to Crave Your Body

187. Staying Committed Without Relying on Willpower
2026/01/24
The #1 emotion to create any result… commitment.   Stay with me now. I’ve struggled myself with this being the answer and I want to offer a different way of looking at commitment.  Not just when things are going well and you’re succeeding, but commitment in the hard times, after the setbacks, after the binge, after the scale not moving for a month.  This is when we dig deeper and find the conviction to keep going, no matter what.  Keep listening as I share more of what this looks like in practice, and why it can also feel like a very triggering topic.  When you’re ready to create a new relationship with food, alcohol, your body, your past, and your power…  It’s time for The Reclaiming – a small group coaching program to help you lose weight and feel amazing in your body, after trauma and abuse. This is where survival ends and self-leadership begins. Stop circling the same patterns and finally move forward, The Reclaiming is your next step. Your Next Step:   Schedule your free 20-minute Clarity Call to ask any questions.    Or visit the sales page to learn more: https://www.bodyyoucrave.com/reclaim  The cycle ends with us. 186. One Simple Question When You Feel Unmotivated
2026/01/21
It's normal to go through times of feeling unmotivated.  Sometimes we simply need to step back and process through emotions.  Sometimes we need little hacks to help us start taking action, even when we 'don't feel like it.'  Join me for this week's episode where I share my super simple hack for helping your brain get on board with taking one step forward, no matter how unmotivated or discouraged you might feel.  And when you're ready to get support in achieving the life and body you crave this year, schedule your free consultation at www.bodyyoucrave.com/schedule.  I have 2 spots left for private coaching, plus group coaching options that are sure to fit any schedule, need, and desire.  Chapters (00:00:02) - Eat Hungry for Love(00:00:24) - Living the Life You Deserve(00:05:07) - How to Get Through a Week With Unmotivated Brain(00:09:17) - How to Start and End the Year on a Healthy Note(00:15:37) - Give Yourself Permission to Travel(00:22:37) - Break the Cycle With Jillian
185. Why Awareness Isn’t Enough to Change Old Patterns
2026/01/16
Understanding your patterns without being able to change them can feel incredibly frustrating… and quietly shame-inducing. But only because we have unrealistic expectations of how habit change actually works.  Awareness is the first step.  But awareness of a pattern or even a new habit you want to implement doesn’t actually create change.  Keep listening as I explain what will instead.  If this episode resonated with you, this is the exact work I do inside The Reclaiming – my new group coaching experience designed to help you release survival patterns with food, body, and relationships — so that clarity and self-trust can take the lead. You can learn more by scheduling a free Clarity Call at bodyyoucrave.com/schedule.  Or join me in The Clarity Room: a free, monthly coaching experience to move from confusion to clarity together.  The next session is Sunday, January 18th, 5pm pst / 8pm est.  Add to your calendar here (zoom link included): https://evt.to/mq6v6k1ftd86 Chapters (00:00:02) - Hungry for Love(00:00:24) - What It Really Looks Like to Change a Habit(00:06:36) - How to Stop Eating During Trauma and Anxiety(00:15:17) - How To Deal With Anxious Attachment in the Relationship(00:20:35) - How to Stop Drinking Alcohol and Eating Food(00:25:21) - How To Heal From A Breakup(00:28:02) - How to Stop Confusion Over Food, Body and Relationships(00:32:31) - It's Time to Break the Cycle
184. Why Big Goals Can Feel Overwhelming [Workshop]
2026/01/14
If the idea of setting big goals this year feels overwhelming, exhausting, or completely out of reach, this episode is for you. For some people, January brings motivation and momentum. For others, it brings heaviness, survival mode, or a quiet realization that they’ve been running on empty for a long time. In this episode, we’re talking about why big goals can feel overwhelming — and what to do instead. Not because you’re lazy. Not because you lack discipline. But because your nervous system may be asking for safety before growth. We’ll explore why depression and survival mode aren’t signs that something is wrong with you, but rather signals — like a check engine light — letting you know that something deeper needs care and attention. I’ll walk you through a gentler, trauma-informed process for beginning the year when motivation is low, including: Why survival mode is a valid starting line How to stop forcing yourself to “start the year strong” The power of allowing your emotions without fear they’ll consume you Creating a very small baseline instead of big goals Letting joy, relief, and what feels fun lead — without “shoulds” And how this season may be pointing you toward deeper healing of unresolved grief, anger, or old emotional wounds. This is a guided experience for people who are tender and need space.  It’s a longer, workshop-style episode designed to be listened to slowly, in one sitting or in parts. And it’s a conversation about permission. Permission to pause. Permission to feel. Permission to meet yourself where you actually are. No hustle, no bypassing, no pressure to be “better.”  Just an honest, compassionate way forward — especially if this season feels heavier than you expected. If you’d like some extra support in this, join me in The Clarity Room: A free live group coaching experience that takes you from Confusion to Clarity. Sunday January 18th, 5pm pst / 8pm est  It’s a gentle, supportive space designed for moments exactly like this — when big goals feel like too much, when you’re in survival mode, or when you know something deeper is asking for your attention, but you don’t want to force or rush the process. 183. The Magic of Believing in Yourself
2026/01/08
Believing in yourself is tough.  Believing in yourself after verbal and emotional abuse is even tougher.  So often we have someone else’s negative words in our head, and it can create a lot of self doubt.  (If you missed it, go back and listen to episode 141. Core 4 Wounds of Narcissistic Abuse: Self Doubt.)  Typically someone dysfunctional (and highly dysregulated) had to put YOU down in order to make THEMSELVES feel better.  It was THEIR projection, THEIR insecurity, masked as inadequacy in you.  But you don’t have to take that on anymore.  Believing in yourself is a choice, and some days we have to consciously choose it, because it’s easier for our brains to NOT believe in ourselves.  Keep listening as I share how to do this.  And if you’d like some help believing in yourself more this year,  Reclaiming your goals, your body, your self worth,  I’d love to help.  Schedule your free Clarity Call – A space to move from confusion to clarity together. www.bodyyoucrave.com/schedule  Chapters (00:00:02) - Hungry for Love(00:00:26) - The Magic of Believing in Yourself(00:06:07) - How to Love Yourself When Self-Question is Triggering(00:15:23) - The Power of Codependency(00:18:33) - What Do You Want to Believe About Your Divorce?(00:20:33) - Believing in Yourself: The Weight Loss Journey(00:28:14) - What is it like to lose weight before getting married?(00:29:01) - What's For You?: Surrender to God(00:33:55) - Believing in Yourself(00:41:09) - Break the Cycle
182. Why We’re So Afraid of Disappointment (Weight Loss & Relationships)
2026/01/01
No one likes to feel disappointed, but when you’ve gone through emotional abuse, that fear and avoidance is even stronger.  Growing up, you learned the only way you could have value as a person was by pleasing others and essentially preventing them from experiencing a negative emotion.  So if someone was disappointed in you, that was your fault, and thus, your responsibility to “fix.”  I also think of disappointment as a gateway emotion to things like: shame, guilt, regret, inadequacy, etc.  Disappointment isn’t that big or heavy of an emotion; it’s what you make that disappointment (or failure, or missed expectation) mean about you.  Keep listening as we dive further into this concept and how it impacts our ability to set goals, to believe in ourselves, to believe new things about ourselves, and fully heal from trauma and abuse.  Join me this Saturday, January 3rd for an all new workshop From Survival to Desire: Crafting Your Future Vision This is not about goal-setting. 180. The Real Reason Diets + Relationships Felt So Hard
2025/12/16
For those of us who are (or have been):  emotional eaters,  in emotionally abusive or neglectful relationships,  or struggled with your self-worth,  Food, your weight, and people were never the real issues.  *The key problem was the identity you were forced to develop in order to survive.* You learned to abandon your own needs to stay safe, loved, accepted, or chosen. One of the most profound questions we can ask is:  “Who was I before the world told me who to be?”   This is how we get to the deeper layers driving your emotional eating, attracting emotionally abusive or neglectful people, and ultimately keeping you stuck in the same patterns year after year.  Ready to break free?  Keep listening and I’ll show you how.  When you’re ready to come work with me and reclaim your life, your vision, your voice, and your power, schedule your free consultation at www.bodyyoucrave.com/schedule.  This is your one precious life.  Let’s make it count. 179. When ‘Easy’ Feels Unsafe in Relationships & Weight Loss
2025/12/12
As humans, we want life to be easy.  We want results to come easily,  We want to lose weight quickly and easily,  We want relationships to be easy.  And yet we have so much experience with marriage, divorce, and weight loss being hard, that we become extremely skeptical when things feel easy.  I noticed this specifically for myself around love and not needing to work for it or earn it.  Just like there have been times weight loss felt easy, and it was almost ‘too good to be true.’  Or we didn’t know exactly why it felt easy, so we didn’t know how to keep creating that.  Join me for today’s episode where I break down why we’re often so afraid of things being ‘easy’ even though that’s exactly what we want.  And when you’re ready to break free from toxic relationships with food, alcohol, your body, and other people, I can 100% help!  Schedule your free consultation to better identify how and where to break these cycles, so that you can create the LIFE and body you crave.  www.bodyyoucrave.com/schedule Chapters (00:00:02) - Hungry for Love(00:00:24) - Why Weight Loss and Relationships Feel So Hard(00:06:49) - Why We Don't Trust Our Love Relationships(00:13:53) - Why There's 'Safety' in Weight Loss & Marriage Being Hard(00:18:17) - How to Stop Self-Sabotage(00:25:18) - Reclaim Your Body and Identity After Toxic Relationships(00:32:50) - Break Free From Bad Eating and Relationship Cycle
