He saw the financial crisis play out while in college in 2008 — nearly destroying the U.S. economy and taking his family’s 20 year old restaurant business along with it. It was then that Chris began to realize how inadequate and mis-aligned the U.S. and global financial systems truly were. The way Chris sees it, Bitcoin is the exact opposite. It functions in a completely free, de-centralized market, with no incentives, alterior motives, or inadequacies attached.
