In this podcast, you will find that showing your kids Jesus isn’t as hard as you might believe. My mission is to inspire and equip you to raise Jesus-loving kids through developing your own faith and getting intentional with routines and rhythms. If you’re ready to ditch your overwhelmed, discouraged attitude and get more clarity and intentional in raising Jesus-loving kids - this podcast is for you! Hey, I’m Deb. A Jesus lover, wife, mama to two and a gal that loves a good cup of hot, and I mean hot coffee. I remember what it felt like when I first thought about leading my kids to know and love God. I think the word overwhelmed was a bit of an understatement. For a long time I figured I didn’t have to do a whole lot cause if I was walking with God, why wouldn’t my kids? To be frank, I was totally winging this whole discipleship thing. But I discovered to create Jesus-loving kids I had to get a bit more intentional. Throughout my mamahood journey, God revealed more to me on how He wants me to do this. Discipling doesn’t have to be a checklist of what to do, it’s actually a whole lot simpler. I’m here to teach you to get intentional, authentic and rely on the grace of God to disciple your kids and to actually enjoy the process! 128. Are the Words You Speak Over Your Kids God's Words and How to Change That with Kimberly Muhtar

Are you the kind of Mama who is letting her frustrations come out in her words? Maybe your kids have a bit of an attitude and instead of speaking out what God thinks of them, you speak the first thing that comes to mind. (And it’s usually not what God would have us say)
No judgement here Mama, as I am in this boat. My words lately have been anything but mindful. And that’s why I had to get Kimberly Muhtar on the podcast where she shares how we need to be speaking what God thinks over our kids and not what we think. For example, instead of saying our kids are lazy, we could say they are growing in diligence.
Kimberly shares her journey of changing the words she spoke over her husband and her kids and the way it changed her life.
She shared that we are the product of the words spoken over us. It’s a scary thought.
But rest assured, after this episode you will be equipped on how you can alter your mindset and the words that you speak.

In this interview, Julie Parido explains how simple discipleship is. We unpack the resource (Draw the Verse) she has created to help you and your kids memorize scripture through drawing.
Take it from me Mama - art is not my forte. But even I got into this resource and found that drawing scripture can be fun even with minimal skill.
Julie also touched on how she was too consistent with discipleship (yes that is a thing).

Are you finding this journey of pointing your kids to Jesus tough? You're doing the work, but not seeing a whole lot of fruit.
In this episode, I want to encourage you in the wait. We head into James and unpack what he speaks about waiting for Jesus. James talks about a farmer and what they do before the harvest. We can be encouraged that in this waiting, there is purpose to point your kids to Jesus.

This object lesson is perfect if you are wanting a way to point your kids to Jesus this Christmas in a fun, no fuss way. You can do this today and I swear you won't need to buy a thing. I found all the objects around my home and I live in a tiny house!
