Episode 34: Painful Bladder Talk - Special Guest
2026/04/14
In this episode, we’re diving into a topic that so many people experience but rarely get clear answers on: painful bladder symptoms and the connection to the pelvic floor. This week we have a special guest, Heather Florio. CEO of Desert Harvest and a leader in women’s health advocacy, we unpack the often misunderstood world of bladder pain, chronic UTIs, and pelvic dysfunction.  We explore how UTIs are frequently misdiagnosed, why symptoms can persist even when tests come back “normal,” and how the pelvic floor plays a much bigger role than most people realize. This conversation sheds light on conditions like interstitial cystitis, the overlap between physical and emotional symptoms, and what actually helps when traditional approaches fall short. Whether you’ve been dealing with recurring UTIs, unexplained pelvic pain, or just want to better understand your body, this episode offers insight, validation, and a more holistic perspective on healing. https://desertharvest.com/pages/our-team?srsltid=AfmBOorD_k_a_AZbIKJdKrJSylIabwZ_DwoxTWJBSfRLNXK9OF3iqaaQ Support the show  Dr. Molly Hart, Pelvic Floor PT, Owner of Pelvic Balance Physical Therapy  Dr. Katie Schubert, Sex Therapist, Owner of Cypress Wellness Center  Email any questions to: [email protected]  Follow Us on IG:  https://www.instagram.com/cypress_wellness_center/ https://www.instagram.com/pelvicbalance/  https://www.buzzsprout.com/1382578/support DISCLAIMER: Please remember that this information is not meant to diagnose or treat any medical conditions. Episode 33: Desire in a Culture That Punishes It
2026/03/17
Why do so many women feel shame around intimacy and sexual desire? In this episode, we explore how cultural messages, expectations, and stigma can shape the way women experience desire, connection, and vulnerability in relationships. We talk about how shame around sex and intimacy develops, how it shows up in adult relationships, and how it can quietly affect communication, connection, and self-worth. Most importantly, we discuss ways to begin unpacking those beliefs and creating healthier, more empowered relationships with desire and intimacy. If you’ve ever struggled with feeling like your needs or desires were something to hide, this conversation is for you.
