July 2021. The month we launched Beauty ReMixed. This is a catch-up episode filled with ailments, allergies, and afflictions. Samantha went to Puebla to visit some of her family and discusses the healing waters of the foothills of the mountains. Cold showers... do we... love?  Brennen started strong with a presentation of the iconique film "Showgirls" from Gracie. But was soon indoors as much as possible due to a myriad of skin issues from an undetermined source... and then followed up with the July Cold.  We wrap this up by talking about good food as a source of beauty. By "we" we mean Samantha because it's definitely not Brennen.  And bonus, Samantha shares her latest favorite soup recipe.  Very healing.

Ep 5: Empties Round 2 This episode is high-key the Samantha show. Tons of body care products, a few meows from Samantha's cat Luna, anguish over Y2K styles making a comeback... We also ask if bras help or hinder the gravitational pull of the décolletage and Samantha asks Brennen about the Pegasus plushie... One more thing... Ancient Cosmetics has blessed our skin. 

Samantha and Brennen are here to discuss some of their empties. Are there really things more satisfying than finishing a well-loved product? Maybe. But it's pretty high on our list. This will be an ongoing series in Beauty Remixed because, well, we go through a lot of products. Sorry 'bout it. Round 1 of empties focuses on hair and skincare specifically so get ready to get the scoop on some of these! 

This entire episode was inspired by one of Brennen's friends asking about washing legs in the shower. Which unlocked a core memory for Samantha about someone  she knew using one product for shampoo & soap. This episode is full of hysterics,  stress, clean tips, a mini-rant about high school dress codes, and X-in-1 shampoo. Spoiler alert - please don't use an X-in-1 product. 

Get ready product junkies - Samantha & Brennen are going through their AM & PM skincare routines. Did we record this back in March? Yes. But it still stands, tbh.  We also discuss the unfortunate rite of passage that is cutting your own bangs, spider lashes, "raw sauce." And Brennen confesses she's a "Lancome girl but not on a Lancome budget." Also, we share our bare bones routine rec's and go on a MN love tangent, because we gotta.
