The Power of God for Salvation | Romans: Grace Changes Everything
2026/09/20
What are you known for?
If someone who knows you well was asked, “What are the five things that are most important to this person?”—would your faith in Jesus make the list?
In Romans 1:8–17, Paul introduces us to a church whose faith was being talked about throughout the world. But more than that, Paul gives us a powerful picture of what it looks like to live unashamed of the gospel.
Why are we sometimes hesitant to talk about Jesus? What keeps us from sharing the greatest news ever given to mankind? And what would change if we truly believed that the gospel is “the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes”?
The gospel isn't just for people who have their lives together. It is for the wise and the foolish, the strong and the weak, the religious and the rebellious—for everyone who believes. The bad news is that we have all sinned and fallen short of God's glory. But the good news is that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Jesus is the only One who can save, and salvation is offered to everyone who will repent and believe in Him.
As we walk through Romans 1:8–17, we'll consider what it means to have an eagerness for the gospel, to live by faith, to be humble enough to be strengthened by others, and to live our lives as ambassadors for Jesus wherever God has placed us. Are you ashamed of the gospel—or convinced that it really is the power of God for salvation?
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.” Romans 1:16
If you haven't trusted in Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, today can be the day you call upon His name. And for those who already belong to Christ, may God give us an eagerness, an unction, and a heart for the gospel—so that we would live from faith to faith, for His glory, for our good, and out of love for our neighbors.
Calling for a Purpose | Romans: Grace Changes Everything
2026/09/13
Are you living life for a purpose that actually lasts, or just running in circles?
Today Pastor Rich kicks off our deep dive into the book of Romans. We'll explore the opening verses of Paul’s letter (Romans 1:1-7) to discover what it means to be called by God.
Whether you've known Jesus for years or you're just starting to question what life is all about, this sermon cuts straight to the heart of our identity, our mission, and the unshakable truth of the Gospel.
In This Message, We Cover:
• The Core of the Gospel: What did Jesus actually accomplish through His death and resurrection, and why does Martin Luther call this book the gateway to saving faith?
• Your Ultimate Identifier: How the Apostle Paul—a man who shook the Roman Empire—chose to introduce himself first and foremost as a servant of Christ Jesus. What does that mean for our jobs, our families, and our daily routines?
• The Incarnation & The Resurrection: How Jesus proved He is 100% God and 100% man, and why the empty tomb changes absolutely everything about your tomorrow.
• Grace vs. Works: Why you can't earn God's favor, and what it means to truly receive the free gift of grace by faith.
If Jesus wasn't raised from the dead, why are we here? But since He really was raised, how should that radically change the way you live today? Join us as we unpack the life-transforming message of Romans and learn what it means to walk in the grace, peace, and calling of our Savior!

When the Judge is Your Refuge | A Summer in Psalms
2026/09/06
Have you ever cried out in frustration, "That's not fair!"?
Whether it was childhood squabbles or watching the evening news, we all wrestle with the reality that this world is full of brokenness, unfairness, and deep injustice. But how do we process the pain when life cuts deep? Where do we turn when we find ourselves sitting at the very "gates of death"?
In this message on Psalm 9, Pastor Rich finishes up our Summer in the Psalms series by looking at the comforting truth that the Sovereign God who sits enthroned as the Righteous Judge is the exact same God who becomes our Refuge.
When life isn't fair, we don't have to live with a "woe-is-me" spirit, nor do we have to lash out in bitterness. Instead, we can roll over, look up, and fix our eyes on the One who holds eternity. As we focus on God, we discover how His perfectly timed justice brings true hope, making our earthly troubles seem so much smaller.
Key Takeaways from Psalm 9:
Focus on the Judge: When facing injustice, turning our eyes toward God’s vastness transforms our perspective and softens our hurts.
Overflow of the Heart: What comes out of your mouth when you bump your head or face a trial? God designed us to declare His wondrous works and share the good news of the Gospel.
The Twin Prayers: How believers can simultaneously pray for earthly justice and plead for the eternal salvation of those who cause harm.
An Unshakable Refuge: Why the Lord never abandons those who seek Him—even in the midst of extreme trial or persecution.
Despair Turned to Praise: How shifting our gaze to King Jesus pulls us out of the miry clay and gives us a song of praise. Are you carrying unconfessed sin, a hardened heart, or unhealed wounds from injustice done against you? Turn to the Righteous Judge who paid your penalty on the cross. He is ready to forgive, heal, and restore your soul today.

Creation, Fall, Redemption
2026/08/30
Ever wonder how a paradise of perfect harmony and evening walks with God ended up with a talking snake, fig leaves, and a world full of brokenness? How did we go from "very good" to a reality where we're dealing with broken bodies, broken marriages, and thorns and thistles at every turn?
In this message on Genesis chapters 1 and 3, we break down the foundational storyline of human history: Creation, Fall, Redemption. We look at how God designed us with a purpose, why work and life became so hard, and how the lies of the enemy haven't changed one bit since the garden.

Are you ready to move past the brokenness and step into the life-changing hope of the gospel?
Join us as we explore who God is, who we are, and how the King of kings made a way through the cross to make all things new.

Who Are We That God is Mindful of Us | A Summer in Psalms
2026/08/30
Ever looked up at a clear New Hampshire night sky, stared into a universe of one septillion stars, and wondered: Who in the world are we that the Creator of everything wants to pay attention to us?
In this message from Psalm 8, we dive headfirst into the staggering majesty of God and the incredible, humbling truth of our place in His creation. We aren't just glorified monkeys or accidental stardust—we've been crowned with glory and honor, made in the image of the King of kings, and given an important mission.
Have you ever felt like life is just a series of spinning plates, making you too busy for the things that truly matter?
If the God who holds the universe in place still knows your name and cares for you, why do we keep living like spiritual doorstops?
Are you ready to stop letting pride or self-doubt run the show, and step into the purpose, value, and redemptive mission God designed for you?
Join us as we unpack what it means to be fearfully and wonderfully made, to shake off our apathy, and to bring the peace, mercy, and majesty of Christ into our everyday spheres of influence. If this message encouraged you today, share it with a friend.
Life of Righteousness & Cries for Justice
2026/08/16
Have you ever woken up in the morning only to find that the heavy burdens, anxieties, and difficult people you went to sleep worrying about are still right there waiting for you? Where do you turn when life moves out of the comfortable middle and throws you into the extreme lows of hardship, injustice, and brokenness?
In this message on Psalm 5, titled "Life of Righteousness & Cries for Justice," we look at King David’s morning prayer—a cry to the only One who holds real authority to intervene in our lives. When we face adversaries and deep trials, we're tempted to fly off the handle or take matters into our own hands. But God calls us to something radical: to leave room for His righteous wrath, to guard our own hearts against sin, and to take refuge in the faithful, covenantal love of Jesus Christ.
In this sermon, you will discover:
• How to Pray Expectantly: Why waking up to persistent problems should drive us directly to the King of Kings, expecting Him to hear and answer.
• What Hinders Our Prayers: A sobering look at Scripture regarding how unconfessed sin, lack of abiding, relational brokenness, and unbelief block our communion with God.
• Surrendering Vengeance: How understanding God’s absolute holiness frees us from taking revenge, allowing us to conquer evil with good while trusting His ultimate justice.
• An Eternal Perspective: Why the key to enduring temporary earthly afflictions is lifting our eyes to the eternal joy and favor promised to those robed in Christ’s righteousness.
You don't have to carry the weight of your circumstances or try to avenge your own hurt. Friend, if you are weary today, run to Jesus Christ and find the mercy, grace, and shielding favor that only He can provide.

Peace in God | A Summer in Psalms
2026/08/09
Have you ever hit the pillow at night, only to have your mind instantly race with every conversation, regret, or false accusation from the day?
When your head touches the pillow, do you find yourself winning imaginary arguments, scrolling on your phone to escape, or wrestling with an anger that just won't quit?
You aren't alone. King David knew that exact late-night battle. In Psalm 4, David finds himself under attack, slandered, and misunderstood—yet he discovered a rest that no circumstances can steal. In this message Pastor Rich walks through Psalm 4 to uncover how to trade late-night anxiety, hurt, and self-vindication for true, gospel-centered peace and rest.
In this sermon, you’ll discover:
• How to Cry Out First: Why going to God in prayer must be our first reaction—before we doom-scroll, turn to Google, or rehearse arguments in our heads.
• Victory Over False Accusations: How knowing you are set apart by God gives you security when people lie about your character or misjudge your heart.
• "Be Angry and Do Not Sin": How to tell the difference between destructive, self-serving anger and righteous anger that drives you toward God—and why anger left unchecked acts like a precision-less flamethrower.
• Forgiveness as a Daily Walk: Why letting go of hurt isn't a "one-and-done" decision, but a daily step of faith in the God who vindicates us.
• The Secret to True Rest: How to utilize Psalm 4:8 so you can finally lie down, shut off the noise, and sleep in total peace. The world promises peace through earthly prosperity, but God offers a joy far greater.
No matter what you are facing, God will not waste your suffering—He uses it to conform you to Christ, build your resilience, and draw you into His presence. Are you ready to stop fighting the battle in your own strength and rest in the God who alone makes you dwell in safety?
Key Takeaway Verse: "I will both lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, Lord, make me live in safety." — Psalm 4:8

Confidence in Troubled Times | A Summer in Psalms
2026/08/02
Have you ever found yourself in a bad situation, made a poor choice, and made the whole mess ten times worse? When you’re sitting at rock bottom—basking in your own mistakes and wondering, "God, now what?"—where do you turn?
In this message, "Confidence in Troubled Times," we dive into Psalm chapter 3 to look at a dark, messy moment in King David’s life. Facing a heartbreaking family betrayal and fleeing for his life from his own son Absalom, David was in a pit of despair—much of it brought on by his own passivity and poor choices. Yet, in the middle of chaos, David learned that when you've hit rock bottom, there's only one direction left to look: UP.
Join us as we explore how God meets us in our deepest messes, restores our peace, and proves that if you still have breath, you still have hope.
Key Takeaways & Questions to Ponder:
• What do you do when a bad situation gets worse? Learn why trying to "dig yourself out" only gets you deeper in the mud—and why crying out to God is the only way out.
• Can God still use a broken life? Discover the comforting truth that God regularly uses sinful, imperfect servants to display His incredible grace.
• How do you find sleep when anxiety is racing? See how David slept peacefully surrounded by thousands of enemies because he knew the Lord was his shield and sustainer.
Are you called to walk with someone in their mess? Realize how you can be an unmentioned hero by bearing another's burden during their most difficult season.
If this message encouraged you today, please share it with someone who needs a reminder of God's grace in troubled times!

The King is on His Way | A Summer in Psalms
2026/07/28
When you turn on the news or look at the world around us, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the chaos, dissension, and rebellion. But as we dive into Psalm 2 in our Summer in the Psalms series, God reminds us of a fundamental truth: He is not fretting on His throne, and neither should we.
In American Christianity, we often focus solely on the picture of Jesus holding open arms for a hug—and while His mercy is new every morning and His grace is all-sufficient, Psalm 2 gives us a complete picture of our Savior. He is also the just and righteous King and Judge who will one day rule with a scepter of iron.
Whether it's the nations plotting against the Lord or our own hearts leaning toward rebellion, human nature tries to throw off God’s authority. But God’s response isn’t worry—it's absolute sovereignty. Through the cross and resurrection, Jesus has proven He is the Son of God, and one day He will take full possession of the nations.
Until that day comes, we don't live in anxiety—we live in readiness, expectation, and reverent awe.
Key Takeaways from This Sermon:
• Don't Fret Over Rebellious Schemes: God isn't surprised or outsmarted by the chaos of the world. Because He is in complete control, we can rest instead of worry.
• Jesus as Savior AND Lord: We rejoice in His grace precisely because He is a righteous judge holding back His wrath so people might come to repentance.
• Living in State of Readiness: When the King returns, the time for last-minute prep is over. We are called to live today in active obedience and joy, walking in the inheritance He's given us.
• Submit or Shatter: Rebelling against the Lord leads to being broken like cheap pottery on a tile floor—but taking refuge in Him brings lasting happiness and peace.
Closing Prayer & Call to Repentance Next Steps:
• Are you living in a state of readiness for the King’s return, or are you holding onto rebellion in your heart? Take refuge in Jesus today.
• If this message encouraged or challenged you, please share it with someone who needs to be reminded that God is on His throne!

The Foundation for Godly Living | A Summer in Psalms
2026/07/12
Are you truly happy, or just chasing a counterfeit?
Have you ever followed a piece of advice that sounded great in the moment, only to realize it led you straight into an absolute mess? We’ve all been there. We live in a world that constantly tells us, "Just do whatever makes you happy!" But let’s be honest—if most of us did exactly what made us "happy" in our flesh, we'd probably end up broken, miserable, and spiritually bankrupt.
In this message, "The Foundation for Godly Living," we dive into Psalm 1—the grand introduction to the entire book of Psalms, and the ultimate blueprint for a life of genuine peace, joy, and eternal security.
The Downward Spiral of Compromise
God knows how easily we get off track, so He starts this Psalm with three warnings that show us how fast we can slide down the wrong path. It’s a descending staircase.
• Walking in the advice of the wicked (taking cues from those far from God).
• Standing in the pathway with sinners (hanging out, letting your lives get intertwined).
• Sitting in the company of mockers (getting comfortable, sitting on the couch, and committing to a lifestyle of rebellion).
"Whoever you spend your time with in a predominant way is who you will eventually become—for better or for worse."
Are you taking advice from Reddit, Google, or that one "knucklehead" friend who always agrees with your worst ideas? Or are you taking advice from the Creator of the universe?
Retraining Your Spiritual Taste Buds
Why don't we delight in God's Word the way we should? Because we've trained our souls to crave the spiritual equivalent of junk food. If you want to experience the blessing of God, you have to go through the discipline of retraining your heart. When you delight in His law and meditate on it day and night, you become:
- Like a tree planted by flowing streams: Unshakable, deeply rooted, and constantly sustained.
- Fruitful in every season: Bringing forth life, love, and character that actually lasts.
- Prosperous through the trials: Not meaning you have the Midas touch, but possessing a deep, supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding, even in the darkest valleys.
We have all fallen short. We have all been the sinner, the mocker, and the rebel. But Jesus Christ came, died on a cross, and rose again to pay the debt for our rebellion. When you place your faith and trust in Him, you are robed in His righteousness. You don't have to face ruin. You can stand in the assembly of the righteous—forgiven, restored, and filled with new life. Where do you stand today? Are you walking with the world, or are you walking with the Savior?
