Ep. 4, Part 1: A Proverb A Day Keeps The Stupid Away | Soul Retreat Reflections
2026/04/11
Reading the book of Proverbs in the middle of everyday life challenges can help you pause, reflect, and extract wisdom from the situations you face. Life presents us with constant decisions, frustrations, and moments of uncertainty, but Proverbs offers practical insight that helps sharpen our thinking and guide our responses.
By reading a proverb each day, we train our minds to recognize patterns of wisdom, discern what is truly important, and respond to life with greater clarity and understanding. These reflections are an invitation to slow down, engage Scripture intentionally, and allow timeless wisdom to shape how you navigate the ordinary and the difficult moments of life.
Ep. 3: Give Your Suffering an Assignment | Soul Retreat Reflections
2026/04/04
In this episode, I share a powerful reminder that our pain does not have to be the end of our story. It can become the very thing that shapes our purpose.
Life will bring wounds, disappointments, and seasons that try to break our spirit, but we are not called to stay defeated. We are called to rise. In this conversation, I encourage you to stand up, show up, and step into your life with the heart of a warrior.
Healing doesn’t mean the pain never happened. It means you choose to transform what you’ve been through into wisdom, strength, and purpose that can help others.
Your story still has power.
Your healing still has impact.
And today might be the day you decide to rise.
Ep. 2: Layers of Healing | Soul Retreat Reflections
2026/03/28
This reflection explores the journey of navigating the complicated emotions that can come from unhealthy experiences within faith communities. I share personal nuggets about reclaiming your voice and learning how to separate harmful leadership from God's leadership.
I also talk about what it looks like to show up healed in the workplace bringing emotional awareness, Godly wisdom, and boundaries into the environments where we live and lead every day.
Along the way, I discuss the role of the thalamus, a key structure in the brain that influences how we interpret experiences and respond emotionally. Understanding how our brain processes information can help us become more aware of how past experiences shape our reactions. and how intentional healing can reshape those patterns.
This episode is about reflection, restoration, and the courage to move forward with clarity and wholeness.
Sometimes healing begins when we finally give ourselves permission to examine the story with new eyes.

Part 2
Ep. 1: Reading My Journal Like a Stranger | Soul Retreat Reflections Part 1.
2026/03/21
Part 1
In this first episode of Soul Retreat Reflections, I share a powerful exercise from my annual soul retreat, reading my journal from beginning to end as if I were a third-party observer.
Partnering with God to help me step outside of my own perspective allows me to see patterns, habits, blind spots, and moments of growth that are often hard to recognize in the middle of everyday life.
In this episode, I walk through some of the reflections and “nuggets” that surfaced while revisiting my own words. Lessons about healing, Holy Spirit encounters, and the intentional work of becoming who God designed me to be
My hope is that these reflections not only give you insight into my journey, but also inspire you to try your own soul retreat practices and discover what God is waiting to reveal to you.
