Salk's weekly conversation with Joe Fann comes the day after the Mariners are handed suspensions to three players for their part in the brawl, but holds more issue with MLB for not penalizing the umpires at all when they could have done more to prevent it from happening. One player told him it was bush league and that was not surprising given Nevin’s personality, another told him the Angels shouldn’t have thrown twice, but that they HAD to respond after coming inside to Trout.
