Securing Mass People Environments - Lessons learned
2026/08/30
Airports and seaports are among the most complex mass-people environments in the world: open, high-volume, intermodal systems that concentrate travelers, workers, cargo, aircraft, vessels, and critical infrastructure within a single operational footprint. They sit at the intersection of local policing, national security, international regulation, and private commerce. This audio discusses some of the requirements and failures that have taken place across the globe. See Say Act - Humans, Animals, and the Security Circle
2026/08/29
This document outlines the design for implementing, training, and running the See Say Act initiative—the LMS course delivered to (A) perimeter employees at member authorities and (B) the Security Circle of adjacent businesses (hotels, rideshare, truck drivers, concessions). It covers human trafficking awareness, wildlife/animal trafficking awareness, and general preventive security — unified under one reporting habit rather than three separate programs. Phase Two — the public affairs program, partner onboarding, and visual PR materials (posters, bathroom-stall cards, signage) — is addressed separately once this training architecture is settled, since the PR materials should point to an existing reporting pathway rather than the reverse. COMPASS - Cooperative Operations Model for Ports, Airports, and Surface Security
2026/08/28
This guide sets out COMPASS — the Cooperative Operations Model for Ports, Airports, and Surface Security — INTERPORTPOLICE's model for interagency cooperation for airport, port, and transportation security authorities. It is built for two operating realities that authorities face side by side: the routine, day-to-day coordination that keeps a shared security environment running smoothly, and the crisis or hostile-event coordination that is called on when something goes seriously wrong. The same relationships, principles, and structures serve both.  COMPASS draws on three sources of practice. The first is the Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Principles (JESIP), the United Kingdom's doctrine for multi-agency emergency response, which COMPASS adapts and credits throughout. The second is A Multi-Sector Guide to Pandemic Economic Resilience, developed with the Pacific Northwest Economic Region (PNWER) and drawn on here for its cross-sector collaboration and relationship-mapping practices. The third is the statutory and regulatory framework that already requires interagency coordination at MTSA-regulated U.S. ports and TSA-regulated U.S. airports — a working model authorities can adapt rather than build from nothing.  Support the show (C) 2026.
