Lanterns Episode 7 | “Great Arm, Kid”
2026/10/12
Hal Jordan gets the spotlight in Episode 7 of Lanterns, “The Jordan Boys’ Legacy,” as we finally dive into his childhood, his dad, and the generational trauma he’s been “clinging” to. We break down what’s in the safe, why we don’t buy that Hal’s death is what it looks like, John’s trip to a fear-soaked yellow planet, and the theory that John is headed toward becoming a Yellow Lantern. Plus, we talk about the new Maggie-the-waitress Manhunter theory, Ch’p and Mogo’s “attendance” at Hal’s funeral, another OutKast song, and John and Hal’s “they’re playing our song” moment. And, of course, we ask the most important question: just how whelmed are we?
Lanterns Episode 6 | Hal Jordan's Dead… Probably… Maybe…
2026/10/05
Hal Jordan is officially dead? In Episode 6 of Lanterns, “Bad Optics,” we break down the funeral, his emotional self-written eulogy, Carol Ferris's surprise introduction this late into the season, and the mysterious clues Hal may have left behind. Plus, we talk about Guy Gardner ripping off Batman, John’s newly found willpower, who might have killed Hal, why Sinestro suddenly escaped, and whether Noah could be connected to the whole mess. And, of course, we ask the most important question: just how whelmed are we?
Lanterns Episode 5 | "Lights Out" for All Our Theories
2026/09/28
Hal and John’s partnership completely falls apart as the Manhunter conspiracy reaches its breaking point in Lanterns Episode 5, “Lights Out.” We break down Zoe’s shocking revelations, Hal’s possible clone conspiracy, and Richard’s increasingly convincing theory that John Stewart could be headed toward the Yellow Lantern Corps or even the Red Lanterns! Plus, we discuss the biggest twists, questionable decisions, and what the hell could possibly happen in the final three episodes. And, of course, we ask the most important question: just how whelmed are we?
Lanterns Episode 4 | So… About That Weenie
2026/09/21
Hal and John dig deep in Episode 4 of Lanterns, "The Weenie", as they tunnel into the Macon farm chasing a lead and get more than they bargained for. We break down the farm infiltration and armory full of alien tech, the eerie smoke that seems built to counter Green Lanterns, and the mounting case that the "Guardian" isn't a Guardian at all. Plus, we talk about the Hal and John moments, the "Weenie" itself, and where all this leaves Hal and John after that cliffhanger. And, of course, we ask the most important question: just how whelmed are we?
Lanterns Episode 3 | Birds Aren't Real (But Trauma Is)
2026/09/14
John Stewart gets the spotlight in Episode 3 of Lanterns, “OutKast,” as we finally dive into his childhood, military career, and complicated path toward becoming the Guardians pick for the next Green Lantern. We break down his seriously messed-up upbringing, the mysterious Guardian, the birds, and the growing suspicion that something much bigger is happening behind the scenes. Plus, we talk about John and Hal’s rocky first meeting, the non-linear storytelling, and whether the Guardians might actually be the bad guys. And, of course, we ask the most important question: just how whelmed are we?
Lanterns Episode 2 | What that Bird doing?
2026/09/07
We’re back for Episode 2 of Lanterns, “Trust Fall,” and things are getting weird fast. Hal is trying to train John, John gets kidnapped, and the mystery surrounding the suspicious town and the Manhunters has us wondering who or what we can actually trust. We dive into our theories about the Bird, Atrocitus, Kerry Kane, and where the show might be taking Green Lantern lore, while also questioning some of the show’s stranger choices. Plus, we discuss the questionable design of the Lantern power battery itself, the missing green aura, Sinestro’s “space meth” look, and just how whelmed we really are.
Lanterns Episode 1 | The Green Lantern Show That Fans Are Debating
2026/08/31
Lanterns Episode 1 just dropped, and the big question is what kind of Green Lantern story this really is. Jeremy, Michael, and Richard break down the DCU premiere’s murder-mystery tone, Hal Jordan and John Stewart’s dynamic, and whether the show is more True Detective or Men in Black. The hosts are split on the pilot, which makes for an honest and entertaining conversation about the pacing, the visuals, and the comic lore. From the Nebraska investigation to that wild ending, they unpack the biggest clues and theories shaping the series.
