Original Sin

Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, examines the amount of evil that is evident in humanity. He looks at human trafficking, terrorist groups, online child exploitation, genocidal campaigns, organized crime, to murder and sexual assault rates. Dr. Hall argues that the dark side of humanity began in the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve sinned and corrupted humanity. The fairness of being corrupted by this original sin is explained as Dr. Hall reveals how all of humanity is organically connected to Adam as the head of the human race. Dr. Hall reminds the listeners that we do not have to remain mired in sin, that we can accept Jesus as Lord and Savior and have the Holy Spirit living in us. He points out that barely 40% of Americans say they pray daily and that this number has been declining for several years. Prayer in its simplest form is a heartfelt relational conversation with God. Loneliness and Robots

He points out that it is not those over the age of 65 who are the loneliest, but the younger generations. The things that are contributing to loneliness in our society are reviewed. Three in five Americans say no one truly knows them. The US Surgeon General and the World Health Organization both point to the serious health consequences of loneliness. Dr. Hall analyzes how individuals are turning to artificial intelligence, chatbots, robots, and humanoids for companionship and even romantic relationships. Work Ethic and Entitlement

Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, uses Labor Day to focus on the enormous achievement by American workers in building the Twin Towers – The World Trade Center. He then describes the massive cleanup that was necessary after Al Qaeda affiliated terrorists flew passenger jets into the Twin Towers causing them to collapse in less than 120 minutes. The massive cleanup is also described pointing that out that more than 91,000 people, including firefighters, police officers, city employees, federal workers, contractors and volunteers were involved and in less than a year this toxic pile of rubble was cleared – another great achievement of American workers. Dr. Hall then describes the deterioration of the American workforce that has resulted in massive vacancies among tradespeople. He suggests that this is reflection of the deterioration of the Protestant work ethic and the development of entitlement attitudes. Dr. Hall concludes this podcast suggesting that the growing problems in the American workforce can be overcome by returning to the Protestant work ethic. Lukewarm Faith

Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, uses Scripture to point out that Jesus is not simply the Prince of Peace but a divisive figure both in families and throughout the world, despised by much of the human race. Jesus warned that his followers would be hated in the same way that the world hated him. Dr. Hall points out that lukewarm Christians, according to the Bible, make Jesus want to vomit. Some of the costs of discipleship in contemporary society are reviewed. Dr. Hall goes on to point out that Jesus warned us that our spiritual enemies may be in our families, that it might even be your spouse. Unequally yoked marriages are discussed at length with Dr. Hall recommending that spouses in these marriages need to rely on the leadership of God and the Holy Spirit to understand the right time to leave the unholy alliance of being unequally yoked in marriage. Born Gay?

He spends time debunking the idea that people are born gay by pointing to scientific studies that dispel this notion. Dr. Hall reviews some of the arguments made by LGBTQ advocates attempting to prove the Bible supports homosexuality. Dr. Hall makes the point that God’s Word does not single out homosexuality but simply includes it in a whole list of heterosexual sins that plague mankind. Dr. Hall enumerates the things that the DSA promotes and how they are the antithesis of Christian principles. Because of the sovereignty of God believers can take comfort in the fact that God is still in control. Anti-Israel and God

These anti-Israel views are also held by nonreligious secular US Jews. These views contribute to the growing anti-Semitism in the US. Dr. Hall discusses why Israel is strategically important to the US politically and militarily. It is pointed out that there is no greater voice in the anti-Israel, anti-sematic rhetoric then the popular podcaster Tucker Carlson. Dr. Hall reviews a litany of misinformation being promulgated in the Tucker Carlson podcasts. He points out how voices like Tucker Carlson are part of a spiritual war to legitimatize Israel. Dr. Hall uses Scripture to support the idea that the Jewish people still have the promises that God made to them in the Old Testament covenants. Dr. Hall discusses the things in our lives that we should put in order since we know that death is inevitable. He points out that there are a number of secular things that should be done including having a will which can be accomplished very inexpensively, and something that everyone over the age of 18 should have. The spiritual things that should be done to put your life in order are also discussed. Forgiveness, gratitude, appreciation, kindness, and compassion are critical exercises for getting your spiritual life in order. God Knows Everything

Dr. Hall explores what the Bible has to say about the omniscience of God. Dr. Hall exposes the tension between God’s omniscience and mankind’s free will to make choices. Several analogies are provided to explain how free will and God’s omniscience can exist at the same time. Dr. Hall uses quantum entanglement discovered by contemporary physicists to illustrate God’s invisible and unbreakable connection to mankind. Mankind’s ability to make choices is necessary to demonstrate love and obedience to God. And Dr. Hall makes the point that a choice that costs nothing proves nothing. Patriotism and the Bible

Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, examines what polls are telling us about Americans’ lack of understanding of not only the history of Independence Day but why we celebrate this day. It has become clear that the majority of Americans do not understand how our form of democratic government works. He goes on to point out how patriotism in America has declined to the point that only 11% of Democrats believe that the United States is the greatest country in the world. Dr. Hall reviews the history of the Revolutionary War and the freedoms provided in our Constitution along with freedoms taken for granted. It is asserted that the Bible teaches Christians to be good citizens and obey governing authorities. In other words, Scripture demands that Christians exhibit patriotism and support for government because it was installed by God. Dr. Hall points to other biblical characters who exemplify the fact that God is a God of second chances. But it is pointed out that God is not the God of second chances to everybody in the world. Dr. Hall gives biblical examples of individuals who are not given a second chance and then outlines the criteria that would qualify you to be in the group given second chances. US Moral Decline-Who's Fault?

Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, addresses the question of why church attendance in the US has plummeted and what has led to churches losing their voice in the culture of America. Dr. Hall reviews a litany of things in US culture that reflect a moral decline. As he addresses these things he repeatedly asks the question, “Who’s fault,Him is it?” He points out that more and more thoughtful commentators say the fault lies with the churches of America. Many of the cultural shifts in America that have led to churches losing their cultural traction are reviewed and analyzed. It is pointed out that some do not blame religious leaders for the failures of their churches and the retreat from American life but see those changes as a slow cumulative cultural shift. Others, including Dr. Hall, blame church leaders for much of the moral decline in America. The podcast concludes with Dr. Hall adamantly stating, “The future for the Christian church and believers is not hopeless.
