Warum engagiere ich mich für die (lutherische) Kirche? Was macht für mich Kirche und Glaube aus? Was nervt an Kirche? Über diese Fragen kommen junge Erwachsene mit interessanten Persönlichkeiten aus der Gemeinschaft des Lutherischen Weltbundes im Podcast ins Gespräch. They emphasize how important youth leadership and intergenerational justice are and what they actually imply. Another priority is inclusive churches – in regard of languages and disabilities.

It's an excellent time to look back and look ahead. The commemoration of the Reformation, changes brought by Covid and a growing sense of fellowship under challenging times marked his presidency. Looking ahead to the Assembly, President Musa tells us what he's looking forward to most.

They introduce listeners to their church and some current developments in it. Since the church will host the assembly of the Lutheran World Federation next month Assembly one of the exciting tasks at the moment is how to welcome members of the LWF from all around the world. Marta and Paweł also talk about their pastoral work for more equality and inclusiveness in Poland and their church.

In dieser etwas länger als üblichen Sonderausgabe von „Mit Leib und Seele“ unterhält sich Tim Götz mit ehemaligen Jugenddelegierten früherer Vollversammlungen des Lutherischen Weltbundes. Sie blicken zurück auf ihre jeweiligen Erfahrungen in Winnipeg (2003), Stuttgart (2010) und Windhuk (2017). Wie war es damals als Jugenddelegierte teilzunehmen? Was hat sich über die Zeit verändert, welche Themen sind gleichgeblieben? The youth delegates decided on three topics that they want to raise and stand up for at the Assembly. Nicole Ridegård, Jussi Luoma und Igor Ahmedov talk about why climate justice, accessible and inclusive churches, and mental health are those three points of focus for them.

Andreas Wöhle erzählt von seinen Erfahrungen im lutherisch-jüdischen Gespräch. Zusammen mit Tim Götz geht er den Fragen nach, warum es für den Glauben von Christi*innen unerlässlich ist, sich mit dem Judentum zu beschäftigen, wie wichtig ein ehrlicher Dialog ist und welche Bedeutung Schuld und Verantwortung in diesem Dialog haben.

Rebecca Treimer unterhält sich mit Vikarin Laura Zech über ihren Traumberuf Militärseelsorgerin. Da stellen sich folgende Fragen. Wie kam Laura auf diesen Wunsch und was macht sie überhaupt als Militärseelsorgern? Warum ist das ein Traumberuf, auch wenn sie sich als Pazifistin versteht? Und wie geht sie eigentlich selbst mit belastenden Erlebnissen der Soldat:innen um?

Lasse Schmidt-Klie ist Mitglied im Weltdienstausschuss des Rates des Lutherischen Weltbunds (LWB), der die humanitäre Hilfe und Entwicklungsarbeit des LWB begleitet. Im Gespräch mit Wiebke Zimmermann erzählt er unter anderem von seiner eindrucksvollen Reise nach Myanmar. Außerdem verrät er, warum seine anstehende Reise ins Heilige Land besonders ist. Und die Frage nach dem Konfirmationsspruch darf natürlich auch nicht fehlen.
