South College was nearly destroyed at by a fire over a hundred years ago, but in an effort to be more environmentally friendly, and preserve the history of our campus, it was restored, instead of demolished. This building represents the rich history of UMass' campus through its architecture.

Ugly Campus is back! Max Zeff and Riley Bowen explore the history of UMass's greek life. In 2006, UMass bought the five frat houses that made up their history "frat row" and demolished them.
