You were designed and created for greatness. Each time that you are blessed to open your eyes to a new day, that is an opportunity for greatness. Because greatness is not a destination, it’s a journey.

The competitive advantage you provide for your kids is the transfer of knowledge. You have decades of experience and skill, start passing that on now. Teach them anything and everything that you know will help them succeed. Cooking, cleaning, exercise, hard work, perseverance. Lead by words and example. Fatherhood is a blessing and also a tremendous responsibility.

The days will come and go, regardless of what you do or don’t do. If you feel like the days are passing you by and not much is happening, take control of your life. Only you can. Take control and enact change.

Your legacy will be built on the relationships you build and the impact you have. At the end of this road of life, you’ll have to answer to what you did and what you could have done. Is the trajectory you’re on going to lead you to a place where you are happy with those answers?

The words you use towards your children and around your children are immensely important. Use your words to build your children up.

Honor your father and your mother. Honor might be forgiveness and understanding.

Know the realities of the world that we live in and what you need to be doing to live life with purpose and intentionality.

Gratitude always. Be grateful when things are going well. Find gratitude when times are tough. Not gratitude for the hardship, but gratitude for the blessing of every moment and gratitude for the strength to overcome.

Stop waiting for everything to be perfect. Your kids need your time, not more stuff or status. Give it to them.
